Veteran guide Al Maas and Jason Mitchell fish the West end of Leech Lake in Northern Minnesota. These anglers work shallow cabbage beds with jigs to catch walleye. Mitchell also tediously catches a bonus muskie on 6 pound mono!

Walleye are sensitive to light. He prefers depth on clear days. Walleye dwells in deep river,lake,bay.

+Paul Deknikker they actually brought in a bunch of sharp shooters and removed many of them. That was several years ago now but it did seem to help improve the walleye fishery.
