Leech Lake Walleye on the Rocks

Rock pile walleyes with a jig and minnow. Jason Mitchell joins Grant DeVries on Leech Lake shortly after the Minnesota opener in mid May of 2020. Leech Lake traditionally fishes very well early in the season with a jig and minnow.
We have filmed several times on Leech Lake and have often focused on the sand and grass flats that typically hold a lot of shallow walleye early in the season. This year we targeted offshore rock structure and caught some really big walleye for Leech Lake. Like every video, we give the details on location and presentation so you can uses this information on your next fishing adventure.
