I’m a disabled Veteran and my wife and I are forced to live on a very low fixed income from SSI. Our monthly food budget is $300.00, my wife shops at Walmart and Aldi’s. My wife cooks and cans, we eat every meal at home and we eat good, wholesome meals. We’ve been doing this since 2009...! If we can manage this then anyone can... Stay safe and healthy. Have a great day and be blessed.
uh, as a disabled veteran living on that fixed income, I hope you will tell people how EXPENSIVE it is to stay at campgrounds (especially KOA). So far in the past month it has cost us almost $2,000 that we've had to put on our credit cards since we're living on fixed income..... just saying..... we were NOT aware that there were monthly rates as opposed to $50-$75 PER NIGHT to stay on a piece of dirt without even any sewage hookup. If you can can your food and prepare your meals at home, COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!!! we WISH we could be at home, canning our food, preparing our meals -- instead we've been dealing with water leaks in our "brand new" travel trailer, appliances and heaters not working, and on and on and on...... Total Drama. Stay at home and save yourself some DRAMA and EXPENSE!!! Just our humble opinion....
I like laundry day...aka “Pizza Day”! I order a pizza and eat it while my clothes are washing/drying. It may be a mind-game, but going into town for pizza is a lot more exciting than going into town for laundry...
Hey guys, not sure if you know about Aldis, or if there is any in your area but getting your groceries there will save you $$! I spend about $80 a week (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for about 6-7 days for 2 people
First thing I’ll say, is ignore the haters. This is a great video, it actually really inspired me. We traveled extensively last summer in our campervan, went home and spent the winter preparing to full time. As soon as the travel bans are lifted, likely early June we’ll be on the road again. I really appreciated the things you shared, it felt like us. Reflectix has saved us from freezing many nights, though it can be a pain. I got the idea from you me and the RV of putting it in the backs of our cupboards, so that might be next for us. I found we did most of our shopping at farm markets, and the cost was pretty reasonable. I know I paid more for meat, but it was straight from the farmer and I didn’t argue. The rosemary lamb sausages were amazing! Texas was a little more expensive, it kinda just depends. I loved your comments about enjoying eating out, I find it a great way to explore a place. One thing we found was laundry day was more an explore day than a travel day, often the day we arrived or the day we left an area. We’d go to Walmart (if we hadn’t spent the night there), do any shopping, do laundry, usually walk around between loads of laundry exploring, take in a meal, grocery shop etc. Yeah, I guess we did do a short days travel after some of them, but it made it really enjoyable. It was time to be social, meet cool people at the laundry mats, etc. My husband usually took the time checking over and reorganizing the campervan, that was his thing, then we’d explore together. I will say, you make me so eager to be back on the road! Soon, though, soon! Our house is selling, just some other property to go. We have been living in our new to us class a since February and here in northern Canada, we have learned a lot about our rig! I have almost mastered not blowing the breaker on the house. I understand how you felt about showers I think I will feel that way about power. We just hooked up to the house water yesterday as it is finally above freezing ( very late spring this year), and it is such a treat to not be hauling water from the house. We are figuring out the water heater today, and then I won’t be boiling anymore! I so look forward to our first showers in here! Going into the house to shower is so old.... thank you so much for sharing your story and letting me share! Have a great day, be blessed!
If you plan to boondock, the vehicle has to be more geared towards that. We're talking composting toilet, large water tanks, plenty of solar and a big battery pack that can run what you need to run without worrying about hookups. That does take some advance planning and prepping the vehicle to make it far less dependent on sewage dump stations, power lines and water hookups. Also, you can buy a small washer/spin dryer off Amazon for $100 and use in the RV. It doesn't do big loads but it it's usable.
Wife and I are full time for about a year, really relaxed now but a few tense times in the first five months, we are so happy now, but the both of us at one point the wife felt weird not working everyday, but she is definetly over it now lol.
Wow! Thanks for the helpful Info. My sister and I plan to start our RV Life soon. I am 64 and she is 60. Our kids are grown and we both want to travel our beautiful country. Is nice to hear from new RVER's .
If you are military, or retired military, have you checked out the Fam Camps that they offer on different bases across the US? You can find Fam Camps on line that lists the different camps and their specifics state by state. You will need to show your military ID to get on base. Many camp sites have a concrete pad with water, sewer, and electric. You have all the amenities on base like the commisary, PX, post office, gym, pool, showers, sometimes even movie theaters. When my husband and I did our cross country trip we stayed in many Fam Camps.
Just found your channel. We are on the cusp of buying our first RV. We're selling everything and hitting the road. Looking forward to following your adventures. ♥️♥️
You guys want to boondock more....have you considered boondockers welcome? Many sites offer electric. Some even have full hook ups. Harvest hosts also, but less chance of a hookup to recharge the batteries.
I have a 2375 Lance. We love how comfortable and how are trailer stays cool. We just turn in fan and windows and don’t need to turn on air conditioner while camping out in the Forest. Once it cools off it stays cool. The only problem we had was the NorCold refrigerator auto didn’t work while traveling. We’re dealing with Manufacturer of Refrigerator. No Lance issues.
You may want to get an exterior water filter for sure. I had one on mine and I also had a water softener after the filter before the inlet to the RV. You will be running into bad tasting hard water and those two together will completely change the water for the good. You will be happy that you did. Enjoy yourselves as time flies, the older you get the faster it flies. God bless you. David & Anita DeFrees
We just came through Texas and stayed on the beach near Mustang Island State Park. You can find free beach overnight parking OR you can go to any of the gas stations in the area and pay $12 dollars for a year-long parking pass (we did this so we didn't have to worry about which beach we were parking on). We pulled onto beach road three on Friday and woke to a surprise kite festive on Saturday. It was awesome and so unexpected. This is a must if at all possible! Go to compendium"s website and you will see them on their map.
This area was in our original plan but we detoured because of the weather! I was thinking with all this rain that the coast wouldn't be a good idea to be right now. We had original planned on going to Padre, Galveston, then Sea Rim. Sounds wonderful. Enjoy your time there! :)
Its great there are people like yourselves who take the time to share your experiences. We don't plan on full time, but are contemplating more extended trips. I am more adventurous, the wife more apprehensive of being on the road that much. So thank you, keep it open and honest. I do like the simple format, and no long intros.
Just found your channel and looking forward to watching the previous videos. Ignore the haters, I have no clue why people think they have a right to an opinion about other people’s relationships. You two look happy, comfortable, and pay close attention to each other. Perfect! My husband and I bought a 5th wheel a couple summers ago and park it seasonally here in MI at a lake until we can buy a truck, retire (or at least semi- retire) and go out for a month or two at a time. TFS!
Also, might be a good idea to delete the trolls (“Lord....”) You seem like good people, and shouldn’t need to read and respond to that junk. Just a suggestion
Hi there! Thank you!! We agree and were so shocked by some of these odd comments. We appreciate your kind words. :) We were able to spend some time in MI last summer and LOVED it!!! Cannot wait to go back! Enjoy your upcoming travels!!
Hey guys here's a pro tip for you from a truck driver if you're ever on the road and need to do laundry pilot flying J and loves truck stops have large enough parking for an RV of your size and most of the time they have laundry facilities where you can get a load of wash washed and dried for about 5 bucks also since your man was talking about trying to figure out how to extend your time out there in this lifestyle try becoming a truck driver my friend your job becomes a national scale job at that point and it can take you anywhere and you can put in your off time anywhere as well and they will get you there so the country becomes your home and your backyard at that point plus it is every bit as liberating as living full time in an RV
Don’t shop at local stores! We found shopping at “regular” grocery stores they’re higher priced. We stick to Walmart for dry goods, household items & Aldi for fresh produce and meats. Regular grocery stores markup their items because they have to deal with the competition from big box stores. We also find the boondocking to be an issue if we try to do it for more than 3-4 days. We need to charge our devices and we have small fresh water tank so that’s a struggle. The logistics is my biggest complaint. I hate it. Finding places to stay, things to do, parking, groceries, WiFi signal. Ahh!
Hey, you two are the perfect on-screen personalities. Truly terrific. Please don't change once you get famous! Thanks so much for all your hard-earned tips & observations. Your videos are excellent and they provide an honest & fun public service, especially for us weekenders who are yet-to-be full-timers. Do stay safe out there. Patric Paramedic, Author, "The Paramedic Heretic"
Hello and Thanks for the great information!! Next time don't forget to include pics/video montage of sights and sounds and identify the areas. Have fun!!
Awesome that you both have started your journey! We have been RVing now for 3 years covering 8 states, but cannot go full time until out of debt. We will see you out on the road soon...Travis & Darlene
Thank you! RVing is a blast no matter if it's full time or not. And good for you - being debt free is a great feeling before embarking on a new journey. Take care!
You guys are pretty fun! SO, we were motivated to watch this video because last Friday marked OUR FIFTH WEEK of full-time RV! We closed on our house Jan. 18, in Tyler, TX (East Texas), and basically headed south and west, hitting Texas State Parks as we moved along, while you guys hit them, heading east! Matter of fact, while you guys were freezing your tushes off at Davis Mountains, we were hanging out in Del Rio (Boondockers Welcome) until Davis Mountains warmed up a little! We made it to Davis Mountains a few days after you were there! Curious what other Texas State Parks you were at. We’ve hit Caddo Lake, Galveston Island, Mother Neff, Lake Brownwood, San Angelo and Seminole Canyon. And, of course, Davis Mountains. Cool free Boondocking at Magnolia Beach on the Gulf Coast. Check it out and GO. Unbelievable, you’ll 20 yards from the water. And the sand there really is like driving on concrete. It’ll blow you away. And depending on what spot you pick, the Jetpack Hotspot is wonderful there! We’re in Tucson now, for a few weeks. Hope to meet up someday!
Wow - nice! Congratulations! We wanted to visit Caddo Lake and Galveston Island but it didn't work out that way. We visited a ton of SP. Inks Lake and Brazo Bend were a couple of our favorites. Palmetto SP, Lake Livingston SP, and more. Beautiful state. Enjoy your time in Tucson. So much to do there. Visit Kartchner Caverns if you can. Pima Air & Space museum is incredible too. Thanks!
Stubbled across your video, and enjoyed hearing how it has been after 5 weeks. By the way, we think it is great you like meeting even us older folks (very young state of minds). We haven’t started yet, but working on it, and can’t wait to go full time. We love the outdoors and look forward to exploring all of North America! Happy trails!
We enjoy meeting everyone we come in contact with. Hopefully that didn't come out wrong! :) The outdoors is our happy place. Have fun and be safe on your adventures!
Last week I spent $529 at Natures Grocer and $103 at Safeway and $159 at Sprouts for me and my husband. We both eat all organic and plant based. It did include some nutritional supplements and cat food. This will last me about 2 weeks. We still live in a house in AZ. It’s insane how expensive food is! Today I’m calling instacart to pickup cases of water at Safeway. It’s never ending when you cook all meals at home and want to eat healthy food.
Water is 35 cents a gallon at the machines at the grocery store, and you can get jugs to refill easily. Buying water in plastic jugs produces a ton of plastic waste
Was recommended this video because I am planning on going full time pretty soon and have been watching other RV channels. I just quit my job and want to have a trailer or 5th wheel lined up before the winter. It will be just me and my retired old dog. I can’t wait to give him a better life and the love you guys have for your dogs is apparent. You’ve earned a subscriber and I hope to run in to you on the road soon.
We are not fulltiming yet, we live in Texas I would not shop anywhere except H-E-B well can’t afford to shop anywhere else! I spend at the most $150 a month in groceries and we eat pretty good and healthy. Can’t imagine what cost you $200 for a week at H-E-B. Brookshires I could believe. Glad y’all enjoyed our great state!
@@jessicaarmstrong782 Unfortunately no not out here in the country where we live. I have shopped their however and do like their vegetables but not much else.
Check out boondocks welcome... 35 dollars a year and you can plan 24-48 hours ahead even more in some cases, always a safe place and meeting people as well, always have a local to tell you what's in season for that area. Free campsites.net requires researching on maps as well.
Awesome! Thank you for all the common sense advice based on your experience. We are about 2 months away from being out of our home and into our RV camper full time! I cannot wait!! Blessings on you two!
An instant pot helped us a TON with cooking and saving money. We got like an 12 in 1 that has an air fryer, suvet (prolly spelled that wrong we use it mostly for pickling ) love the video. My wife and I just bought our first rv, this video helped!
I watched the video and as a former AZ resident, it's natural I have to support you guys. Good video about the ins and outs of camping/rving. Greetings from Philippines & China. One day when my family relocate to stateside, we'll do the same. Great way to educate my daughter. Keep up the good work guys and good luck on your travels.
Totally agree on the reflectix!! Must have for sure in a camper and also in your vehicle. The reflectix also helped a ton when in Alaska and had almost 24hr daylight!
Congrats to you guys!!! We are about to take off as well. I am in the process preparing our 40' ship for the long haul. You made the right decision!!!!!
Go for it, your young so enjoy the experience, the life style can be exhilarating, you connect with nature, which is something so many people are loosing with our modern day pressures.
Really helpful and great video. You guys are very relate-able and you are the kind of people and travelers I think most of us would like to meet. THANKS FOR SHARING AND FOR YOUR WILLINGNESS TO BE CANDID ! Really helpful and nice. Take care!!
What a nice comment - thank you so much! You are very kind. We absolutely love meeting people on our travels and sharing stories. Makes it more fun!! :)Take care!
Can't thank you enough for this video. Getting ready to go full time and give up my place in Austin and have my nervous days. This completely took me off the ledge of worry and excited me for the months ahead. Thank you.
I was on the ledge constantly. 5 days in and I understand all of it. Hang in there - it's tough at first but it is getting better for me. Hope to see you on the road!
Great to see you out there enjoying yourselves! We’re fellow Lance owners, a 1985 at the moment, and enjoy long weekends out, but can’t wait to go fulltime. Would love to know more about how the 2285 is working for you. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Thank you! Loving the Lance! We will be putting out a video shortly on a tour of our Lance. Have fun on your adventures and thanks for following along on ours :)
Hey you guys I just watched this video. I missed some of your videos. Where are you now? Since Covid hit I have retired, a bit earlier than I planned but as of November I am fully retired and just ordered a trailer. Can you believe the run on RVs since the virus hit, wow! All the dealers are sold out. If you want one it will take a year or more to get one. Crazy stuff! Anyway I love your video, looks like you had a good time.
Thank you for the video! We found it as were looking for people full-timing in the lance (irs either that, outdoors, or northwood for us). Love how uncluttered your space is, your relaxed attitude, and your dogs! Yay! Enjoy the moment and keep following your bliss!
Yes! I agree with so many of your unexpected things entirely. We spent so much on groceries when we first started, and we expected to boondock so much more than we have, researching takes so much time, etc. (We're about 3 months in to full time rving.)
Great video. Five weeks of being out there on the road, but I’m sure it took quite a bit of time to prepare for your new journey & adventures! Buying your RV, selling your stuff, your home and saying farewell to family & friends. BTW....Love your doggies! God bless you guys .... safe travels! 😎
You are so right! Yes, it definitely took lots of time, hard work, and commitment! It was a scary feeling at times and those thoughts popped into our heads of are we doing the "right" thing. Selling our house didn't go as smooth as we hoped so that was stressful too (videos of our preadventure days show that). So happy with our decision and we wouldn't change a thing. Doggies absolutely love it. They complete our little family. Thanks for the support, Alberto! :)
Just discovered your channel. Great job on the videos. I'm a fellow Lance owner, too. Keep up the great job. Looking forward to following your adventures.
As far as washing your hair they make a dry shampoo, when in new areas ask the locals what's in the area. By moving every couple of days that gets more expensive, gas, paying more for RV sites, ect.
I also just found your videos! What a great couple! The way you look at each other when the other is talking, and the way you can finish the others thoughts and the speaker is not put out! You can tell that you belong together! Nothing seems forced. I am full time, solo with three dogs so I know the planning has to include their needs as well. Continue to love one another (and the rest of your traveling family) and enjoy your journey!
Looks like you are off to a great start with the full time rv life. Hope you continue your adventure for as long as you’re able to. Happy and safe travels! 👍😃
All too familiar :). When we hit the road we weren't expecting all of the things that would go wrong. Neighboring full timers have encouraged us to be prepared and be patient! I have treasured this advice
I just found your channel...and from observation, it seems you two have what it takes to become very successful You Tube Nomadic Chanel. Before you started I’m wondering if you followed any other Nomadic channels? I’m fans of many, especially enjoy, Drivin and Vibin, Trent and Allie, The Nomadic Movement, RV Love, and Little House on the Road, to mention a few. Most have dogs, and post video’s several times a week (must to be successful). I believe one can get caught up in the beautiful video’s a lot of Nomadic You Tubers post covering, sunsets, sunrises, ocean, and beaches. Little House on the Road posts, the good, bad, and ugly of the Lifestyle. I like Rob’s videos because he warns of what Nomadic need to be aware of... Security, water, and costs...he cautions of needing an “Emergency Fund” to get you through unforeseen circumstances. I was following one Van You Tuber that was going down to California, his van broke down and that he posted that would be the END of his travels because he could not afford the $1,500 he needed for repairs. Having 6,000 subscribers I thought he could do a “Go Fund Me” account and have his subscribers pay for the repairs he needed. I suggested he start an Emergency fund...he agreed. He also managed to raise what he needed in one day. My wife and I have looked at the Lance, in fact this month’s Trailer Magazine shows the newest and longest Lance article. They are towing it with a Ford 150 4X4 Platinum Truck. Eventually I think we will get a Motorhome so won’t have to set up and tear down our camp. You got a new subscriber...wishing you the best! Dave
Glad you found our channel and thanks for subscribing. Yes, a few others have helped inspire us to take the leap. It's great to see so many others out there enjoying the RV life. It's been wonderful for us so far. :)
Just found your channel and y’all are too cute! Thanks for being real about your journey so far :) We aren’t full time but seriously thinking about it. My husband has 2 years before he can retire. Adding things to our Premiere Bullet TT so it will be just how we like it. I’m a new subscriber! Judy❤️
I just found your UA-cam channel today. Really enjoyed your video and look forward to seeing all of your upcoming adventures (very jealous)! My husband and I travel all over the US via our motorcycles. We would love to one day incorporate this lifestyle into our lives as well. I know we would absolutely love it because we never look forward to returning home from our travels. It was really cool to see that you’ve been in our home state (Texas) - “Welcome to Texas” - I hope you’ve enjoyed it here. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope y’all have safe travels 😊. ~Treca
Hi guys. I’m a full time single woman and I get a ton of inspiration from my UA-cam friends. I Loved your video. You are a really cute couple. I will be following you on your journey!! Good luck and happy camping!!
You guys are awesome! We’re so happy that we met you guys early on at St. Clair Winery and look forward to starting our journey in June. Hope to meet up somewhere along the way. Great video! Each one makes us more and more anxious to be on the move. Safe travels and hope to see you soon. Nancy and Paul - Columbus, NM.
Thank you, Nancy!! We are so happy we met you and Paul as well. We're excited for your upcoming journey! We know you two will absolutely love this lifestyle. A meet up in the future is a must! :)
As for food. I don’t know how much food storage (refrigeration) you have but we are retired and my wife likes to make a pots of food ie, soups goulash, chili, etc we eat off that for a few days. Try hot dog, itchiban soups and eat out less. Free places to stay, try and develop friendships in areas you visit and maybe park at their house when you come back thru. Good for safety. Develop lists. Power, buy a small watt generator and use that to power up and use for emergency or like some of your fellow travelers is to get the batteries and solar panels and install a system that will take care of your needs!
I live in Michigan and we have a plethora of wonderful places to visit. We live in an area that we can look across the River to Canada. We have a lot of beautiful scenery, and then as you travel up to the top of the mitten there is the Mackinaw Island complete with Old Fort. Then the upper and lower falls. Pretty state.
I just recently stumbled upon your channel and now my wife, our dogs (2 Golden Retrievers) Apollo and Luke, not to mention myself are hooked. You present with an honest enthusiasm that have us checking into our AllStays app to find and read reviews of places you have gone. We also enjoy that you have two pups, as our plans (once retired) have us loving mobile as well. Only big difference our rig needs to be able to hold two additional kids and potential significant others... Anyway, we kind of binged watched several of your vids and have enjoyed your story and journey. I have pulled a camper to DC and to the Grand Canyon (we live in Iowa) and have had five different camper blow outs and will honestly tell you that the driving will get better and will be more enjoyable as your story builds. If you find this comment and have the time, I would very much like to know what brand of dog hammock (or whatever you call them) you use in your truck's back seat and if you like it.
Thanks so much for the comment and kind words! Not sure if you visit Campendium but that is a great app as well as AllStays. We owned a dog hammock (not sure what you call them either) previously and decided to make a more comfortable space for the dogs instead of using that. Nate took out the 60 portion of the back seat and we have dog beds, a comforter and blankets for them to lay on. They also use the single seat that we have covered. Works out really well! Have fun with your travels! :)
We are from Phoenix too, we are not full timers but we are gone 3 or 4 months in the summer usually back in the midwest somewhere. I think if I was going to go full time I would upgrade from a 5th wheel to a Motorhome so I would have more space for storage and a built in Washer & Dryer. We been RV this time around with our 5th wheel for about 3.5 years now and my wife can't stand sitting at home and prefers to be on the road some where. The only thing I hate about RVing is the tornados or bad storms when I am on the road. We are in our late 60's and early 70's so we don't know how much longer we can do the RV thing until we jump into a log cabin somewhere. We did have TT 10 or 15 years ago we pulled around local since we still were working them. We love it when we are traveling, getting ready to go to California for 2 weeks and then 3 or 4 months back east.
I just came upon this and enjoyed watching. My wife and I are thinking about doing this. Thanks for sharing about what you're encountering. Lots of good information, Keep it up.
Tip for saving space and leftovers for freezer, fridge and cabinets is to use glad bags different sizes but get the ones with the slider. I take my dry food out of the boxes and can get 2 to 3 bags in the space of 1 box. Dryer sheets under heater vents save cleaning out the ducts that often. I'm parked and thats ok. Be safe. Thanks for sharing
Fellow Phoenicians heading out in May and we can't wait!! Have fun out there, I know I'm looking forward to NOT spending another summer in 110+ heat. *Cheers*
We have not boondocked as much as we thought we would too. Hoping to do a lot more to save money boondocking. Congratulations making it 5 weeks we've been doing it two years and absolutely love it.
Thank you for the incentive. I'm only 5 days in to full-time RVing. I have had to move every day this week. The practice of set up and take down is taxing so I'm glad to hear you don't like the travel days as well. I'm on the road with a beagle who is having a few issues (because he is afraid of bugs). I needed to hear the likes and dislikes tonight. Thank you - I was regretting my decision so early in to this journey but you have given me hope!
Hi guys!!! First video I’ve watched.. love it.. we heAded our to be full time on 12/3.. went to Humboldt county to visit our oldest and got a phone call that the rental we were staying in in SoCal we had to be out in 60 days.. spent our leisure time until Jan 1 in Humboldt darted back to SoCal and donated all our belongings (45 years worth) and to get on the road but oops had to get leaf springs struts and shocks on the front end of motorhome.. 3 weeks+ in a shop got it back and oops the engine light came on in the Jeep more $$$$ spent there but not fixed.. staying at friends property now we were ready to hit it last Friday and on Thursday oops hubby got in a solo accident with considerable damage to the Jeep so now we sit and wait for repairs to be made on our Jeep.. what has stopped us so far? Health, weather, car repair, motorhome repair, ughhh! So anxious we are to be on our way.. we have been planning this for 6 Years.. retired pensions, no debt.. want freedom...we want to feel what you all are feeling we just keep hitting these hurdles. Our first stay will be in Arizona around grand junction..hope to meet you sometime.. we to are thinking of a UA-cam channel for our fam and friends.. just need to have something fun happen first
My goodness! Hoping things get better for you! This was one thing that drove us to make this decision - life always gets in the way. Good luck and safe travels to you!
2000w Honda generator.i rv year round in a Ford transit, extended length. Use a Stanley electric heat blower for your heat...If I come up with win/win situations. Using electric heat vs propane, no moist created using electric.etc
Sure liked your video! My husband and I are retired and would love the rv. life but because of grandchildren we stay pretty close to home. We do have a camper and rv a lot in the spring, summer and fall here in Missouri. Stay safe in your travels and enjoy this time your spending together!!!
I am a new Subscriber. I admire RVers, although as my hubby is not interested in RVing, it is unlikely that we will engage....I wish you both FULFILLMENT in the RV Life. TROLLS WILL COME, because there are a host of mentally disturbed and/or just plain ole EVIL Folks who HATE to see others happy; if some can gain viewership on their struggling channels by attacking other RVers, they will. BE YOURSELVES, continue to embrace your travels with an open heart, and you will be fine. (Block the Crazies as you are able)....Again I look forward to sharing the JOYS and struggles of your travels. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH....
We are planing our first trip as snowbirds this winter after we get past this one, come on spring. I loved your video this was my first one. Oh and by the way you worsh your clothes not wash them I get slammed on this all the time. Love to run into you guys on or journey.
Kolaches! I love them. Pass through NM, the NM chili dishes are out of this world, even though I started on Texas Mexican food, and Central Mexico food. Yum.
We are picking up our Lance 2285 in Surprise, AZ., on Tuesday and just found your site and enjoying seeing you live in the same camper we researched for 2 years and decided upon. You two are much younger than we are, but your likes and dislikes and your overall nature is so much like us! We will follow you continuously and hope to meet you on the road sometime! You are doing an excellent job with the videos!
Enjoyed your straight forward down to earth info. We are new to full timing and are pretty much experiencing all the same things. The part about how much to take along and the tupperware overload😂 nailed it
Hi guys!! Just wanted to tell you we look forward to your videos every week and the whole fam joins in to catch up on your latest adventures! We would love to hear more about your overall plan - top places you want to visit, how long you plan to full-time and of course when you think you'll be here in NC so we can visit and snuggle the pups!! Thanks for giving us all a taste of the road and safe travels:)
Hi! That's great! I'm so glad you are enjoying them. We look forward to seeing you all. Awesome, thanks so much for the questions. We want to know what you all are intrigued about. This helps us. We will have to work this into one of our upcoming vids! See you guys soon :)
I’m a disabled Veteran and my wife and I are
forced to live on a very low fixed income from SSI.
Our monthly food budget is $300.00, my wife shops
at Walmart and Aldi’s.
My wife cooks and cans, we eat every meal at home
and we eat good, wholesome meals.
We’ve been doing this since 2009...!
If we can manage this then anyone can...
Stay safe and healthy.
Have a great day and be blessed.
Awesome!! Cudos to you! Please share more information on your experiences and how you full time RV😎
uh, as a disabled veteran living on that fixed income, I hope you will tell people how EXPENSIVE it is to stay at campgrounds (especially KOA).
LOL - I think we might have to use this idea of yours. Thanks!!
Love your story and comments!! Thanks for sharing. Take care and enjoy your upcoming travels :)
You're welcome. That's great! How special to travel with your sister! I'm sure you two will have quite the adventure. Enjoy your RV Life days. :)
Do it! Check out Cheaprvliving and Creativity Rv etc for great info
Just started following yall.. we are planning to move out of the apartment and do the FT class C living.. thanks for the tips!
I’m about to buy my first RV. I am in my early 30s and my heart is just pulling me to that lifestyle. I look forward to meeting fellow travelers.
Exciting times! Positive vibes sent your way. :)
@@FourLifeAdventures Thank you!
Yes, thanks! We are members of Harvest Host and have looked into Boondockers Welcome. Lots of options out there. Appreciate your comment.
Thank you!
Thanks so much me and my husband will be putting or house on the market and will be rving full-time soon as our home goes Thanks for all the advice
I’m am at the beginning stages of getting rid of my possessions and raving full time. Thank you for the information
Haha. Thanks so much for the compliment. We appreciate that!
Thanks!
Jim Brown welcome to Tyler. I went to college in Longview not far away. Love the rose gardens in Tyler in the spring.
Brent Johnson We GONE! We closed on our house there Jan. 18 and took off full-time RV. We were in Tyler since September 2000.
Jim Brown oh congrats on the new adventure. Waving from Greenville.
Four Life Adventures Heade to Karchner today or tomorrow! Camped out in Benson now!
Right on!! Just enjoy it all. We have enjoyed the life.
Great job. Keep up the good work. I will be going full time next week!
Thanks for the honest look into the RV lifestyle. The video was well done. I hope you continue to enjoy your journey. From Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 Cheers!!!
Thank you!
Agreed!
Do you have an aldi's?
@@jessicaarmstrong782 Unfortunately no not out here in the country where we live. I have shopped their however and do like their vegetables but not much else.
Check out boondocks welcome... 35 dollars a year and you can plan 24-48 hours ahead even more in some cases, always a safe place and meeting people as well, always have a local to tell you what's in season for that area. Free campsites.net requires researching on maps as well.
Yes, we have considered Boondockers welcome. Seems like something that we would like! Thank you :)
Awesome! Thank you for all the common sense advice based on your experience. We are about 2 months away from being out of our home and into our RV camper full time! I cannot wait!! Blessings on you two!
Have fun!! :)
I am so glad that you are enjoying your adventure!!
An instant pot helped us a TON with cooking and saving money. We got like an 12 in 1 that has an air fryer, suvet (prolly spelled that wrong we use it mostly for pickling ) love the video. My wife and I just bought our first rv, this video helped!
Hey you’re from AZ! So are we. Enjoyed hearing the expected and unexpected. Maybe we’ll see you on the road sometime.
Safe travels! :)
Hello from Okinawa, Japan! We are moving home to the USA next month to start our full time Rv adventures. Thanks for sharing this great information!
Thank you so much! :)
Totally agree on the reflectix!! Must have for sure in a camper and also in your vehicle. The reflectix also helped a ton when in Alaska and had almost 24hr daylight!
You mention Reflectix insulation and how you put it everywhere...would love to see where and how and what benefits it provides. Thank you. :)
Perhaps an idea for a video for the future... :)
Congrats to you guys!!! We are about to take off as well. I am in the process preparing our 40' ship for the long haul. You made the right decision!!!!!
Thank you!
Go for it, your young so enjoy the experience, the life style can be exhilarating, you connect with nature, which is something so many people are loosing with our modern day pressures.
We agree! Thank you for the support! :)
@@captain758 adjusting to what you need and don’t need is difficult at first.
Awe - thanks so much! Appreciate the nice comment. Enjoy your travels :)
Oh boy did I just recognize the "Mom" face!!! Used that face on my own kids....Fun to watch you guys.
LOL!! Too funny. Thanks!!
Yes! I agree with so many of your unexpected things entirely. We spent so much on groceries when we first started, and we expected to boondock so much more than we have, researching takes so much time, etc. (We're about 3 months in to full time rving.)
Right, crazy?! We'll see if any of this changes as time goes by. Safe travels!
Glad I found your channel. I follow a few and look forward to more from you two.
Such a nice comment - thank you! We definitely have a good time together. Enjoy your travels!
Looks like you are off to a great start with the full time rv life. Hope you continue your adventure for as long as you’re able to. Happy and safe travels! 👍😃
Thank you so much, Gail!! We appreciate your kind words :)
All too familiar :). When we hit the road we weren't expecting all of the things that would go wrong. Neighboring full timers have encouraged us to be prepared and be patient! I have treasured this advice
You need an Aldi grocery store bad. They are cheap and really good!
Nice video. Life is too short, enjoy it. God bless your guys.
They are towing it with a Ford 150 4X4
Platinum Truck.
Judy❤️
Thank you, Judy! We appreciate you following on our journey! :)
~Treca
Thank you! Texas has been so awesome - that's why we have spent so much time here LOL. :)
Glad you’re enjoying the life style. If you ever get to New England I’ll give you some recommendations for places to visit.
Definitely will take any and all recommendations. Thanks so much, Dan! :)
Love that you include your dogs! 🐕🐕
Thank you! They complete our family. We wouldn't have it any other way :)
Hi guys. I’m a full time single woman and I get a ton of inspiration from my UA-cam friends. I Loved your video. You are a really cute couple. I will be following you on your journey!! Good luck and happy camping!!
So nice - thanks for the compliment. Happy that you will be following along :)
We are looking forward to Full time in the RV this year. Completely retire afters years of RV “lessons”! See ya o the road! Jerry and Debbie
Do you have a video on how your supporting yourselves on your journey? New subscriber!
This will be coming out soon! Thanks for following along :)
Yes, we have heard of Mackinaw Island. We would love to visit Michigan and hope that will happen. It sounds so beautiful. Thank you for the tips!
We are just starting our journey on our own land and plan to do the same thing u r doing and supplementing with craft shows while we travel thru
Have fun and safe travels!
I just came upon this and enjoyed watching. My wife and I are thinking about doing this. Thanks for sharing about what you're encountering. Lots of good information, Keep it up.
Thank you! Hope travels are in your future. Nothing like it.
Five weeks! Congrats! How much fun! Boondocking is a challenge but it has to become a habit. You will find your way.
Thank you!
Thank you!!
@@FourLifeAdventures you're welcome. Be safe most of all.
Find ALDI food stores the prices are great.
Have not heard of these. We will keep our eyes out. Thanks!
Fellow Phoenicians heading out in May and we can't wait!! Have fun out there, I know I'm looking forward to NOT spending another summer in 110+ heat. *Cheers*
Thank you! Enjoy your upcoming travels and be safe :)
We have not boondocked as much as we thought we would too. Hoping to do a lot more to save money boondocking. Congratulations making it 5 weeks we've been doing it two years and absolutely love it.
Awesome. Thank you. Love you guys and that you are sharing everything. Hope we get to meet you.
Awe - thanks so much!! :) Appreciate that. Take care!
I really miss you guys , you were so fun to watch.
Ha! I like it you guys are great and a lot of courage to do it. Hoping to get there myself soon!
Please we have enough idiots out here stay at home
Roger Jackson Excuse me?
Very informative!!!!! Thank you!!! I will love to hear your regular updates on these three areas!!!
Thank you!
Love the beard, I have not shaved for years. (A trim is not a shave.) Tami, your long hair is beautiful as well.
Sure liked your video! My husband and I are retired and would love the rv. life but because of grandchildren we stay pretty close to home. We do have a camper and rv a lot in the spring, summer and fall here in Missouri. Stay safe in your travels and enjoy this time your spending together!!!
Thank you Donna! It is so nice to be near family, we certainly understand that. Enjoy your time outdoors :)
Thank you so much for the kind words and well wishes. :)
Again love the encouragement, nothing like on the ground update😍 People like you may become the new news🙏
We are planing our first trip as snowbirds this winter after we get past this one, come on spring. I loved your video this was my first one. Oh and by the way you worsh your clothes not wash them I get slammed on this all the time. Love to run into you guys on or journey.
LOL - the future is bright! :)
Kolaches! I love them. Pass through NM, the NM chili dishes are out of this world, even though I started on Texas Mexican food, and Central Mexico food. Yum.
Yes, we went through NM already. Great state! Mexican food is our fav! My husband loves New Mexican dishes.
Awesome! Thank you.
Great job you two. First time viewer and it was great.
Thanks for all the tips. We are in the contemplating stage of the process. It looks like a big decision but you make it look like fun!
Thank you!

Yay!! So excited for you. You will love it! Enjoy your travels. Thank you for the compliment :)
Enjoyed your straight forward down to earth info. We are new to full timing and are pretty much experiencing all the same things. The part about how much to take along and the tupperware overload😂 nailed it
Thank you!! No. More. Tupperware. LOL
I love state parks too, much more than campgrounds. How has that changed for you now with COVID? Are you boondocking more now?
