Was a b-1 crew chief for 8 years. Flew the virtavia many moons ago and it made me cringe. Just added the kwikflight, can’t wait to give this a try! 4:44 this is about how far I’ve made it and I’ve noticed a few things that make me nervous. It been awhile but when I was engine run qualified, we would always start 2 & 4 first. Then 1 & 3
@@StevesSimStation I really want expecting it to be, this jet is so complex to make it study level would probably make the developers loose their minds! I'm loading it up now, and see what i can find.
Not a B-1 pilot but spent plenty of time around them and the crews. Normally the start sequence is 1, 2, 3, 4 one at a time for safety purposes but the B-1 has an APU for both pairs of engines and can do simultaneous starts, particularly for alert starts/EWO. Last time I was in a B-1 was a good few years ago but the usual sequence then was 1 and 3 together and 2 and 4 together. No idea if that's still done now or if that's what they used to do in the 80s/90s, and I have no idea what's recommended.
I wish they would come up with a way for a DCS type simulator to be able to utilize the world environment of MSFS. Would be so cool to fly your military hardware anywhere in the world. I think people would pay big bucks for that capability. I know I would!
Thank you for reviewing this version of the Bone. While the aircraft has some nice features, I find that for the price point, it feels like a bit of a let down. Way too many controls that are INOP. E.g. bomb bay doors. Hoping the dev will come back with a few updates.
@@StevesSimStation The aircraft has different load managements and how you configure bleed switches and other switches determine which LM you end up in. If you don't configure the bleeds right you'll overheat electronics there always needs to be some sort of air. There is two different ways to start engines on a B-1 the aircrew predominantly uses one while maintenance uses the alternate way. I don't remember the starting order but in MX we started what we needed.

@jeronb787 it's nothing close to study level but the detailing is way better in my opinion

Backseats are OSO and DSO. Offensive systems operator and defensive systems operator. One does bombs the other countermeasures and jamming.

@@StevesSimStation I worked on them while stationed at Ellsworth from 99-02. I have some awesome take off videos when I was out at Red Flag in 21...

I'd love to get this in DCS. Way cool!
@@Universal_exports87 don't we all
Good thing they simplified the start up because just getting it up on apu's is not very easy.

@@LineUp-m7n Nellis AFB from flightsim.to
