"Why did you want to become a donor?"
"Because it is the right thing to do"
The most beautiful thing I have ever heard.
She is very special for donating to save this cute little boy
What that woman did was a suicidal move, brave, yet suicidal.

I was a donor for a complete stranger, unfortunately my recipient wasn't able to survive. It is amazing how you feel such a kinship to someone you have never met. I received a card from the recipients wife and i still hold on to that card today.
Bless you so much for that. You made a difference.
What a selfless and beautiful act of kindness. I am sorry your recipient didn't survive. I am sure they are shining a light down on you for the sacrifice you made for them.
Your recipient may not have survived, but you gave them more time with their family.
Shay Hicks wow...
Shay Hicks god bless you
I was my little brothers bone marrow donor. We were a perfect 10/10 match and it blew away his doctors at Stanford. He’s been in remission since then, 9 years ago 🧡
That brings this granny’s heart joy thank you for sharing

The way he’s looking at her the whole time ❤️ so so so sweet. He knows how important this young woman is. I hope they are all doing well today!
To all the donors and to everyone who signed up to be an organ donor. Thank you. I wasn’t gonna be here if I didn’t get a donor heart, he was my angel.
When my son, 22, was in the hospital and was said to be brain dead, it broke my heart into pieces. He was still being kept alive by machines. I talked it over with his father about donating his organs. To give someone that chance at life is something I think my son would agree with.
@@tonya4417I cannot imagine the strength that must’ve taken in a time of unbelievable grief. Bless you and your family. You are a hero.
My son was 18 when he donated. He hated needles and had to have quite a few but it was worth it because after a year or so he was told that the recipient survived. Im always so proud of him. He is a remarkable person and not only because of his donation. Not everyone is fortunate enough to survive but it's worth trying.
God bless him!! 🙏

God bless him. I hear the pain of bone marrow extraction is likened to the pain you feel if you were kicked by a mule.
I'm very touched that that little boy got to meet his bone marrow donor.I had leukaemia 11 years and my only chance of surviving was to have marrow transplant,I'm from Ireland and the only place in Europe witch did the transplant at that time was in Bristol England me and my family flew over so I got have it I was age 7 when I had my bone marrow transplant My donor was an American woman that is all me and my family know about her for the last 11 years. After watching this it is making me want to find the amazing woman who saved my life and I would honestly love to thank her so much.

The donor is such an angel. We need more people like her she is really beautiful with a kind heart and also the should of had her sit with the kid
This is absolutely weird. My brother.. on his birthday, 4, leg pain had leukemia. Then relapsed. None of us in the family were a match. And found a young girl to help her. Just found connection to this and decided to share.

This brought me to tears. I unfortunately can't donate bone marrow because I am type 1 a diabetic, but I'm happy that there are people who can

I donated bone marrow for a random person in need.... it’s one of the worst pains you can go through and I was still greatly happy to do what I did!
God bless u man you are a legend
Onions! Wow. When I was 13 I lost my mother who was 38 to leukemia. She could not find a match in time. That was in 1988 I made a vow that when I was old enough to get on the list to be a donor. I've been on the list for over twenty years and I got a call 2 weeks ago that I may be a match. I hope and pray I can help this person so that they can be a productive part of society. And if they have kids their kids will not loose a parent. And if the person still has their parents they won't have to bury a child.
I do not know you but I am proud of you that you are truly amazing
Jason King sorry about your loss, thinking of you and I hope all goes well with it all♥️
Jason King my brother had leukemia and I was tested but was not a match but a match was found but he did not make it so I told my self I would be a match for someone time went on and then one day I got the call that someone would need my help and I said to my self that I could. To help me but I can help someone so I told them that I would do it I had all the blood work done but I did not get the next call. I told myself that if I could not help my brother Paul I will help someone now I’m just waiting for a call
Update:
It's been 8 months since I was able to donate to someone. The process was done at a major hospital in Atlanta Georgia. I'm not sure where the recipient lives or anything about them. I did check the form yes if the family would like to reach out. I work for the railroad and my employer was great to allow me to do this, as well as my wife. It's more to it than just saying yes. Would I do it again, absolutely so many people die without or waiting on a match. Just the thought I may have helped something gives me a good feeling. And honestly at this point in my life good feelings are a good thing. If someone reads this and have thought about going on the regestery but haven't please do. You can't put a price on life. :)
@@zoeharmon5077 thank you
that little boy is so sweet and grateful. u don't see that a lot anymore these days in kids around that age. most are big brats and completely spoiled. its so annoying. this boys parents really taught him the right way.
Sorry to disagree, kids are not born brats and spoilt, they are made that way by bad parenting, all kids turn out good with 100% love, they return what they are given , love love and more love to all children every where.
That's so rude to say. Not all kids are like that. you have to get to know them first.
@@vickersvc They did not say they're born that way.
they look like siblings.

the boy so happy and can’t stopped looking his saviour .
I have been watching videos' of people who stepped in to help others with life threatening diseases. I have been crying, but it's a good cry. We are Blessed.
I had to stop the video and register on Be The Match. I cried so much ❤️ I hope I can help save someone's life
Amy Pham Not to be a downer or anything, but just because you donate your bone marrow, doesn't mean the recipient is gonna make it. I think it's great of you to sign up as a donor and everybody who can should do that, but you have to be prepared for a bad ending too when you do this.
Herr Hurbig I know that it might not work out, but I don’t understand why you felt the need to make a discouraging comment. Donating is caring for someone else even if it doesn’t work out. I would still be happy that I tried.
Doing that right now !!!! Thank you
Just have to sign up
Youre an Angel. God bless you!
she looks like she's apart of their family. they look alike.
I was blessed to come up as a match in 1995 and 1996 thru the National Marrow Donor Bank. My first recipient did not survive past one year, so we were never able to meet. My second recipient did survive, and my family and I drove out to Michigan from our home in Maryland to meet him and his family. I still get teary remembering when his father ran out of their house to hug me….he didn’t want to let go. My tears remembering that moment are dripping onto my iPad as I type this. Those marrow donations made me a better person and I am forever grateful to have had those opportunities to help.
I don’t know them but when he said “thanks for saving my life,” I just started crying
The boy looks very adorable. That donor girl, you rock! 🙏
wow, that donor is an angel.
My dad was given a gift of a liver by a wonderful family that had just been through loss. It's meant another 22.5 years and still going. I'm so thankful especially when I see him and my boys together xxoo to all the donors and families out there.
I love the way how the boy and his donor girl both looked at each others with a peaceful smile all the time
I am so happy for him and his family. May God always bless those willing to help others.
I see no one can voice their religion anymore. God Bless this family!
I hope all that hatred and lack of nuance makes you feel better =)

The baby boy’s smile says everything 💕
People like that restore the faith in humanity. God bless her 🙏 ❤️
I think when this woman gets older, she can look back on this and say that it was one of those defining moments in peoples lives that make a difference. And when the little boy grows up and looks at her picture, he's going to think how can you ever repay someone back for giving you life. Excellent story, BTW checked to see if I could be a donor but I'm past the age restriction.
Donating is so very important as you can see from this video. It saves lives. So please be a donor. Saving lives one donor at a time.

Hello From Nepal. I have been working through our organization voluntarily for children living with Cancer since 17 yrs. I am really inspired by the story. Love for the Donor and boy. God bless you all there.
My nana was diagnosed with Leukemia before my tenth birthday, and my nana promised to take me to Paris for my birthday. We haven't gone yet. My nana got a transplant due to thankfully getting a doner. My nana says for my twelfth birthday we can go to Paris, THANK YOU DONER!! You saved my nana!!
Have you been to Paris?
She didnt have to do that but she did, out of the goodness of her heart. For doing the right thing and potentially someone's life. It is a minor inconvenience, a few hours of your time and a small procedure with some pain, but to the other side and recipient, your sacrifice means the world to them.
Please donate if you can. I've just sent mine in. Hoping for the best.
Real life heroes dont wear capes. They get married this weekend, filled with love.
Such a sweet and emotional story , the young lady looks like she can be his sister .
All donors are heroes. All of them. ❤️

I had bone cancer at 13 and got so many blood transfusions and so much care. And you meet these brave little warriors they make you realize if they can you can.
I recently became a bone marrow donor and I'm awaiting the day to donate..
That's amazing
As someone who came face to face with possibly needing a bone marrow transplant, this is incredibly touching. She says she did it because it’s the right thing to do, but so many people don’t do this for many reasons. I don’t blame them - it’s terrifying and painful. But it’s so so important and anyone who donates to anyone, but especially a complete stranger, has such a kind heart. Thank you to Alex and to every person who donates or signs up to donate!!
Never hesitate to help, because helping gives you the best feeling you could have ever feel.
As someone who is going through cancer themselves this is so, so heartwarming to see!❤️ she saved this kids life and now he’s thriving! That’s incredible of her. I’d love to be able to donate to someone if I was under different circumstances.
Most of the stories I’ve seen recently of donors saving these sweet babies lives are all young people which is so awesome to see! So much heart and courage to step up and put their life to the side to help a stranger.
"Thank you for saving my life" What a lovely boy
Very touching and emotional God bless her for saving aj life
What a great thing this young lady did for this young man so glad you dont have cancer anymore glad your feeling great bless you both and your families and friends ❤😊❤
I want to congratulate the mom! Even though she's going through turmoil of her son she still shows love to the donor that takes a lot of courage, foresight, and the uncanny nature to take herself away from what's happening to her son and walk a mile in the donors footsteps. She is a story of why gratitude is so lost on society today!. Thank you for this heartwarming tutorial it's an inspiration of what one act of kindness can spread. Kindness make it infectious! May God bless both families!
When the boy said thank you for saving my life I cried even more.
Who'd dislike this like for real. Why?
My situation was different, but I can still relate. In my 60's I either needed spinal cord surgery or become paralyzed. No other options. I received 3 bone grafts in my neck thanks to a total stranger who was a donor. I will never know my donor or his/her family, but your kindness before passing saved me from a terrible fate. You are a part of me now and I will take care of you and your gift. Thank you, RIP and we will meet in heaven.
