I’m not mr. clean, so my water gets pretty dirty. This is an awesome design to separate out the dirty water. Probably disagree with the three months to replace the mop head. As often as I mop I’ll probably get three years out of mine.

I have had a Hurricane Mop for years but your video makes me want to buy this. I agree - the clean water function is a game changer.
😀I have never used the Hurricane Mop. If they come up with one like this new O'Cedar Mop I may try it out because I like testing out new products to see if they really work. Yes it sure is a game changer and it washes the floors well without spreading the dirt all over.

Last week I bought the new mop, the double basin mop. I didn’t like it so I returned it. I got the single basin spin mop and I love this one. I don’t mind the one bucket, I change the water when I need to and with the one bucket I can see how soiled my water gets as I mop my floors from higher traffic to lower traffic areas.

Thank you for this video. As stated in your video there is not instructional pamphlet in the box. I did not realize the instructions were on the bottom of the box until I watched your video. Other videos did not point that out. Thank you for your thoroughness. I am glad that I did not immediately throw the box away👍👍👍👏👏👏

Wow!!! This is an EXCELLENT Detailed Review! I like the fact that one doesn't have to touch the dirty water and TALL Ladies like us don't have to bend over because the handle is long enough to extend to my 5"7 Height! Amazing review!! BUT, a third bucket of water is needed to truly mop with a clean mop. Once the mop is on the floor, it picks up dirt. The mop must be put in the third bucket then in the spinner then it's cleaned out to be put back in the cleaning solution. Should be done as follows.
Put the mop in cleaning solution
And mop an area.
Rinse off in third bucket of water and spin.
Put in cleaning solution and mop another area... Repeat the process till done changing the third bucket of water as needed.
Thank you. The third bucket option will be adding too much work and complicating the whole process. I think how the mop is designed with a two tank bucket bucket system that separates dirty and clean water works better as is because the mop can just be rinsed in the chamber with clean water. If you feel like the mop is not clean enough you just let clean water 💦 flow in the chamber again and rinse the mop. That way you simplify the whole process.
@@TheCleanLoft I agree it would be a lot more work if you're cleaning house's or have kids. But anytime you pass a mop on a dirty floor and put it in clean solution,it's contaminating the solution. The mop has to be cleaned off in a separate bucket of water. I know, I hear myself and think how I must sound! But it's true.
@@amirssittu3943 I think the trick is to put it in the spinner again before putting it in the clean water. That way most of the nasty stuff gets spun off first.

Hi! I just used my new one a day ago. I would look at my mop head after every section I mopped, I didn't think it was cleaning my floors because the mop would look clean. When I was finished and dumped the water...I was so embarrased! The water was very dark, and my floors are squeeky clean! That mop head is very unique as it really does get up the dirt, but doesn't show on the mop head. After this lengthy explanation, my point is I don't think a third bucket of water would be needed. Thanks for your time!

I just used mine on the inside if my garage doors before I put insulation panels on it. Perfect! Not only that, when mopping was done, I used the clean water that was still in the bucket for some microfiber rags I was using to hit some areas a mop couldn't get into. AND I put the rags in the spinner too. It was awesome! I finished a 1-car and a 2-car garage doors in less than half an hour. Now, I have to get to hanging the insulation.

OH My Goodness!!! This is a game changer!! I'm embarrassed to say that I have been washing ceilings, crown moldings, walls and baseboards by HAND for years!!! Yes, my friends, a ladder, a bucket, a wash cloth and a LOT of back breaking time - UGH!!! Why in the world did I not know that I could be using this amazing mop to accomplish all theses tasks!!!! BTW, I also wash my floors by hand, but it's becoming very painful to crawl around on my knees - so - O'Cedar to the rescue!! Quick tip: Wash, dry, and shake the mop head really well before the first use. I didn't do that and the mop left fibers stuck all over my LVP. Other than that, I LOVE this system.

So glad this is a positive review. I have a somewhat small space to mop but it takes me forever and I never finish in one day because I can't keep changing the water due to a bad back... I saw this and couldn't help it... Had to get it (thank G-d I was able to) haven't used it yet and don't even care that I'll have to push it around a little... Just so I don't have to lift it ten times but give up after 4!

Great review! I just bought one of these and used it for the first time yesterday. A couple of things aren't clear to me - How to tell how much water is going into the pail when filling it, in order to add the right amount of liquid cleaner, and, how to hold the handle while spinning the mop head.
I agree, as a string mop, it does a much better job on corners and underneath things than a sponge mop, and using clean water is definitely an improvement; previously with a more dirty floor I would rinse the sponge mop at the utility sink in between mopping and dipping it back into the bucket-a lot of extra effort.
I don't like that the mop head has to be placed on the floor just right or the plastic base scrapes the floor. Another "con" for me is how everything is made out of cheap-looking plastic-it feels as if parts like the handle, the foot pedal, or the sliding valve could break very easily.
Thank you for compliment 😊. The clean water tank fills up with about 27 cups of water and this will still give you enough room to put product. One thing to note is you do not want to put too much product as this will streak the floors. For the mop to wring out well you must hold the mop loosely while while at the same time stepping on the wringing pedal. I do agree, the separation of clean and dirty water is the best part of this mop for me as well. Thanks for your feedback

I just got this mop and this video helped me so much. I think I used too much soap (Murphy's oil) as it was a bit sticky. I re-watched it, also, to see how much you wrung it out. I left too much water in the mop and had to go over it with a towel to dry my laminate floor. All user error, so I'll be giving it a once over with plain water this week, to give it a clean rinse. I love the mop and it works way better than my previous method. Thank you for making this video!

I just got this mop and bucket. Can’t wait to try it. I’ve had 3 hurricane buckets but wanted to try something else to see if it’s better. I just want anyone who owned the caddy for the hurricane mop system this one fits perfectly on this caddy so you can wheel it around.

I just bought the “clean and rinse” mop in Target. Wish there was wheels but I’ll manage. Just hope the pedal function doesn’t break as I’ve heard that can happen. Oh, this mop was very easy to put together.

Awesome. Yes thats mopping 101 right there. Sweeping or vacuuming first before mopping is a must that way you don't drag dirt all over the place making the task daunting.
Hi, I just used the mop and bucket for the first time. My husband inadvertently threw the box away so I no longer have the instructions. Can I ask how far or how much I’m supposed to fill the the reservoir up to and when the water no longer moistens/wets the mop, does that mean to pour it out and start over?

This will still leave you with enough space to put a cleaning product without the water spilling. When the water no longer wet the mop yes you have to refill the tank again. What kind of solution did you use on the unpolished floors?
I used Dr Bronner Pure Castile soap (Lavender).
Just got the original version on sale at Wal-Mart and is seems the old one spins the mop with more of an "in Balance" rotation. Did you fine that to be true? Thanks for the review because with the small mop head size I will not be wanting the new model. Information is gold~!
I have noticed that but didn’t experience it much. This sometimes happens because the spinning side and mop base and mop head is small. The old version doesn’t have these issues, it spins well because the spinning chamber is big so is the mop base and mop head. Having used both mops, thats my take on the two mops.
Still can’t decide from older version or newer 😩? Any suggestion… either or is going to be a major upgrade for me and definitely a game changer .
Hey Dianna, both the new and old version work. The major difference is the new mop has a separate rinsing area and the old mop doesn't have that feature. So if you care so much about using clean water to rinse out the mop when cleaning then the new mop is for you, but if this is not an issue you can get the old mop.

Is it possible to take apart the clean water bucket? Like the blue part ? I don't like it staying together
No it doesn't come apart, hopefully that will change in the near future.

Where does the extra rinse water come from. You have to get the soap off that you put on it.

I'm kind of curious about keeping the bucket clean when not in use. Having that separate enclosed chamber for the clean water seems like it would be easy for it to grow mold but does it dry out well?
I have not heard any issues with mold. Here is what you do, after cleaning the bucket, I wipe the main bucket that collects dirty water and let it air dry completely. The blue tank for clean water you thoroughly rinse it out and trash all the water and leave the lid open to allow it to air dry faster. When the main bucket is dry you can then put the whole 2 bucket system together. By the way thank you for the support. 😊

Every time I add something aside from vinegar it makes it all soapy. I literally just tried to do my floor with just water and bleach and it was like I was using a bunch of soap and was all sudsy
The mop strands are made of microfibre and absorbs too much soap. So you need to put just a little bit so you won't have this issue.

Does the blue bucket come apart? Mine stinks
it doesn't come off, this is what i suggest you do, after you are done mopping rinse off the blue bucket thoroughly and the leave the cap open so air can circulate that way it will dry out faster.
That was my question; it seems like the blue tank is difficult to clean thoroughly since it only has one little hole + the valve for water in & out.
I always wash it leave it open and upside down. Still kinda smells. Im not a big fan for the size house I clean
@@lisa8249 The only way is to put clean water in the tank and shake and dump the water. Repeat till you see the solution is rinsed completely. Also less is more when you are cleaning do not put a lot of product because if it foams, it will take long to rinse it. I hope O'Cedar will improve on that and put a much bigger opening.
@@margoskaggs3823 Not sure why its like that, mine doesn't smell. If you have essential oils like lemon/peppermint you can put some few drops in your water when you are doing the final rinse, That will take care of the smell.
When you first put the mop in the wringing side, make sure the fibers are underneath the mop head down in the wringer. Then press down a little on the mop using the mop handle and your hands. You will hear excess water squeeze out into the bucket, then press the pedal a few times. This should make sure the mop isn’t so damp for laminate without having to use your hands to wring it directly from the mop head. Also, pushing the mop into this position is how you are supposed to place it for smooth wringing by the pedal. It won’t jerk around once it’s in like this! Just hold your pointer finger and thumb around the mop handle in a very loose O shape and the mop will spin in your hand without being awkward.
