HEY BOO! I was looking for an easy and affordable way to clean my floors? So, I decided to check out the new O-Cedar rinse clean spin bucket mop! This mop is supposed to be great for getting your floors clean quickly, and better than the old O-Cedar spin mop!
In my opinion, the O-Cedar rinse clean spin bucket mop is not worth the money. It doesn't work that much better than the traditional mop and bucket.
Have you tried it, and did you like it?

I think the floor is still dirty after because there’s two issues I see in your technique. I was thinking the same thing but, once you mop and have a dirty mop, you wring it out, release the valve, grab fresh water with the dirty mop, wring that out, and then go back to the fresh water and mop again. Secondly, you have to mop up the dirty water on the floor. It’s still there. You have to get a clean mop with the fresh water and wring it out until dry, then go back over the area to absorb the dirt. The first pass is to loosen. The way you did it pushes the dirt around and picks up some of the dirt.
I recommend using a spray bottle to get solution down. Then use a broom brush to agitate the floor. Then use the mop in the method above to absorb the dirty water on the floor.

I watched many videos and read reviews before I bought mine and most people recommended using a few drops of Dawn and a little white vinegar. I did this and put a cap full of Fabulosa in for a nice scent. It works wonderfully. And I do not use boiling water because sooner or later I'll get burned with it and don't want to take a chance. My tap water gets very hot and that works fine with using a funnel to pour it in. Boiling water on some floors will actually damage them especially hardwood floors. I had my own commercial/residential cleaning business for 10 years and I wish I'd had this product back then. I think it's better than anything else I've ever tried and I think I tried everything available including all the Swiffer wetjets and electric steam cleaners. The price, the user friendly design and how clean it gets my floors with six cats and a husband who never learned to wipe his feet, I'm very pleased with the results.

Yes! I would not use essential oils anywhere your pup can get to as they are toxic to animals. If your dog licks the floor try putting ice cubes in his water. He might be craving the cool if he’s too warm.

What’s your problem? People have pets! We want our homes clean just like people with kids. Kids dirty up homes just as any animal would so why shouldn’t people expect a mop to keep up with a home, kids, pets, or not? That’s what a mop is supposed to do. If it can’t keep up, then it’s not the mop for most people.

My sisters swear by this product. One of my sisters sent me the items for the feet and I put them on my hands and used them to clean the dust from my television, blinds, baseboards, and monitor screens. They both laughed when I found out it was for my feet, but hey it is great. I received the O-Cedar as a gift from them, and I like it.

Nice to see the review, keep it up. Ok I'm a guy from the "old school". I actually bought this mop system also. I like it for certain things. For small bathrooms I think it's great. For small areas and cleaning up localized messes it's great. For total real clean I have the old school yellow bucket on wheels janitor style with press wringer attachment. Ones you see in commercial settings.

I do not agree! The reason why is not the strength of the cleaner. It was obvious it was because the baseboards came clean. It is not going to work when your putting the mop back into dirty water. Most of the water spins out, but there is still enough dirt on the mop when dipping it into the cleaning water. The only way a floor like her’s (because of the dog) is to keep changing the water. No way, not me.

I’m a single guy with a husky… I have a shark matrix robot that I run 2-3 times a day and I just got this mop because the mop water becomes black when I’m mopping… I mop 2-3 times a week… with a regular mop, I’d have to change the water and remop the downstairs 3-4 times until it was clean… with this system, I only need to mop once or if it’s really dirty, twice. The first cleaning is to get up whatever my husky left down there and the second is to finish it off…

I bought one of those thinking it was going to be an improvement over the older one which I had. BIG mistake. First of all, the reservoir to hold the clean water is too small and I kept running out of clean water. Then when I had to rinse the dirty mop I had to dip it in the clean water reservoir in order to soak up more liquid so I can properly rinse it. Ended up that a lot of dirty used water got mixed up with the clean one. After about 4 cycles of mopping I already ran out of clean water and had to refill it again. I had to refill it 4x to clean up my average size living room/dining room and kitchen. The whole contraption is unbalanced at first because all of the cleaning liquid is contained in the clean water reservoir. I am going back to my older Ocedar and just use another bucket full of clean hot or warm water. So what if I had to deal with 2 containers......easy peasy......so do not spend money on this...keep using your older model.

Little Falls, NY, originally from the Caribbean. I was curious how this system worked and I really appreciate your time in going through the entire process. As an elder with spinal disabilities and arthritis everywhere, I can already see too many issues with the set up of this mopping system for myself. Although I like the idea of separate water partitions, it looks like it would be too heavy for me to lift. I use Swiffer Wetjet for my weekly routine and my Mr. Clean foam roll mop for my hot monthly cleaning. I have a short hair cat who doesn’t shed much but I live right next to a highway and active train tracks so the amount of dust that plagues me, Ohmygoodness! I have to sweep and vacuum every other day or else I find my cat chasing tumbleweed sized dust rabbits (not bunnies, because these have grown up!) around the apartment, no lie!
I must say, grrl, you rockin them slipper covers! LOVE them!
Again, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Like we say in The Virgin Islands, “Bless up!”, and, “Love alone”.

Hi from Troy, NY I was looking for a great way to clean my hardwood floors and I came across your site I'm a man and I'm very clean so I use hot water also I had bought a O-cedar also didn't like it for one I have a petty big place and lifting up and pulling that bucket was not hard but I knew they was a better way so I bought a bucket with wheels and it spins so thank you for your input keep doing what you're doing.

You did a great job on the review. I like the old bucket better. I'm not sure this bucket was an improvement. I also have two labs.
I have a huge house the all hardwood floors. I will stick with the old O-cedar bucket.
Girl you boil water! That's some work.
I hate how little water flows over to rinse the mop. Plus when I pick up the bucket, it tilts. Not a fan but I will use it upstairs.

Thanks for the honest review. I just bought one and I couldn't understand how it could do a good job if the spin water went right back into the clean water, plus it no longer has a telescoping handle, which I was wanting. I may just exchange it for a regular spin mop and a bucket of clean water.

Hi Wayna! Just subscribed to your channel and am loving it. I have a question about cleaners. I like the combo you use and am going to try it but wonder if it leaves the floor sticky at all? I use PineSol in my cleaning water, not much but find it's the tiniest bit tacky when it dries, which makes me crazy! I would love suggestions from you or the viewers as to what is used. Thanks for the review! Carla

I recommend a roomba for the dog hair! I have a chocolab/hound mix and often have my daughters chocolab AND we have 2 cats. My Roomba runs every day and even after my cleaning lady comes and sweeps & mops my floors... the roomba runs and gets MORE hair.
I think I might try the cheaper oCedar thing just so I don't have to stick my hands in dirty water..but the two chambers seems like one more thing to try to keep clean too. Thanks for an HONEST review.. so rare with "influencers"!!

I'm in love with my original and swear by it. I have put people on, lol! I will say though I wring my mop thoughly because I can't stand seeing a wet floor. It'd seem like you'd just be pushing dirt around with extra water. But I do want those shoes covers you have because my whole first floor have to be mopped and I hate wearing sandals or my "mop" socks, lol!

I bought this clean rinse system bc I hate putting the mop head back into dirty water-seems really stupid and counter productive to me. However, if I had it to do over again I would've bought the original version and just got a small bucket to fit in the main bucket to keep the clean water in. The white mop heads are so much denser and easier to use on baseboards and cabinets. The blue ones are thin and the plastic head just gets in the way. However, I think since it's your first time using hot water you were probably getting a lot of dirt loosened up that you normally weren't. Hence, why the microfiber towel was so dirty at the end. I bet that would've happened with any mop. But I few extra passes would get it clean and then it wouldn't be so time consuming going forward.

Just got this and rried it and so far I love how clean it got my floors. Even though some the dirty mop water stays on the mop you really use most of the clean water when it comes up in the clean side. Most of it absorbs in y our mop when you shut off the water plug..not all of it but it is way cleaner than my other one bucke syste..

You are so right to take the spin mop back. I bought the original version 4 years ago. It stayed in my house for one mopping and took it back because, buy the time I was done with my 80% hard floor house, I was very exhausted.
I saw the new version in the store and thought before I buy it again I’ll find a review.
I don’t have a big dog and still think it would be a waste of my time.
    Bottom line:
The floor will stay dirty if the water isn’t changed frequently. Too much work!!!!
My system is faster and easier I also dry them before letting my dog in the area. My towels are white and when I’m done drying the floor they are still white.
Thank you for you honest review.

Hey there! Loved your video! I think a big difference with this mop system would be to change out the mop head instead of re-dipping if you have animals. A lot of that dirt stays on the mop head even though you're dipping in fresh water. I feel that would make a big difference as well.

TFS I think this new method is phenomenal! First vacuum then get down with O- Cedar does make life easier! It’s simple to put together The pole is of light weight! Love the idea of not putting my mop back into dirty water! Spin after each use then pour into clean water The grout in between the tiles don’t look dirty nor does it absorb from a dirty mop So, I give it a 10 when I take a break from steam mopping I’d like to order those micro fiber slippers 😊

You can use your tub or shower instead of the kitchen sink. The handheld facet is much easier to use. Then dump the dirty water in the toilet.

I just got the first version and I just used it the only problem I have with the mop is that if you try to mop up and down the mop head flips underneath it and doesn't stay flat. I had better success using it side to side. I like how it does get the dirt up well. I might just use the nicer dollar tree mop. I love the bucket spin action which is easy and works well.

Not sure if you specified or not but I thought I only saw you go over the floor once. I think if you went over the floor a second time and added some vinegar to cut through that build up, your floor would’ve been sparkling! I’m sold on the mop simply cause I don’t have to wring it out! 😂 Great use of the microfiber shoes tho!

I think every way does. I used to do mine by hand. I'd wear knee pads and scrub the floor with micro fiber rags. There's always something left behind. My only solution is to go over the floor multiple times but each time you do, use new water and a new mop head.

Just one thought. Any time you use a new mircrofiber mop head, it will not have the absorbency. Hence, maybe that is why it didn't pick up the dirt like you were wanting. I always wash any new microfiber products a few times prior to use because of this issue. Loved watching your video, though.

See, I was using the Norwex mop that was gifted to me a couple of years ago. But it became easier for me to scrub my floors with a rag, rather than use that mop system. You had to constantly re-wet and ring the mop head, which didn't fit into the bucket. It sounds so easy, but it's not.. It's ok for touch ups in between, but I like my stuff super clean and that mop was no where near worth the price for me personally.
I just purchased this mop because I fell in love with my parents older version of this mop. I loved theirs. So I'm hoping I love this one just as much.
I'm a little concerned because I have 2 little boys and 2 cats. So, now I'm hoping I made the correct choice.
