- This is my first attempt at custom kydex. I got several ideas watching Black Bear Custom Kydex here on youtube. Mostly the use of Teklok for two styles of carry, for biking and hiking off trail in dense brush. IMO BBCK does the best kydex sheaths I've seen on youtube so far. The bag on the sheath is for an Esee 5/6. I used .08 and .06 Kydex with 8-8 and 8-12 eyelets. Olive Drab and Flat Dark Earth(fall). I mounted a hand punch in a drill press that worked great!

I need to learn to make my own kydex....I've done leather and it ain't fun . I can make puukko sheaths for my knife handle mods from blanks , that's fun.
Kydex really is about having all the right tools and of course skills but tools are important.

Looks good!!! Gotta be prepared out in the world!!! I use a leg holster when we are out hunting. Much more comfortable on horseback or ATV's!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Thanks! I ride bikes and wade through dense brush, so both carry styles can be very useful to me.
Nice set up! Try 2 clips on the back. It helps keep the sheath from moving when you draw, and return. I perfer leather. More comfort for all day carry. IMO 👍
Thanks! One clip on either side the belt loop. That's a lot of teklok, but I see what you mean though.
Every material as it's strength and weakness. Where it hangs low and doesn't chafe you above the belt line it's actually quite comfortable.
