How can I map to the midi controller pads different track sounds? I want to change the keyboard sounds assigned in the tracks by tap the midi controller pads.
Hi! How do I mkae the sample be in a keyboard but not have the speed change? I want the pitch to change, but I dont want it to get slower when its lower
Thanks but the problem with this tutorial is not beginner friendly because you already have the transposed midi data. I try to follow from a wav file and like huh? after 1:54
Where do I find the folder of 'Drum Samples'? NO matter where I search, I can't find where GarageBand store it's native sounds for it's stock drums/symbols. I'm trying to re-map my drum kit to have several sounds from several of the different built-in kits in Garageband
This is for mapping your own samples that you recorded or downloaded from the internet. that folder is my personal folder of drum samples that i got from online. if you search free drum samples on google im sure you can find some good ones.
@@CarlosCastillogearhead Exactly. I'm looking to use the High-hat from SoCal, the Bass drum from East Bay, the snare from Brooklyn. And save it all together as my own Kit
Justin Hart Ya. You could also map out all your notes first and then place all your kick drum hits in your desired drum kit instrument. I used to do that. Better for mixing anyway.
@@CarlosCastillogearhead I see what you're saying, but that would require me to retrack my song in post-production. I'm talking about literally just remapping what I want my MIDI drum triggers to sound like. So I could take it live onstage with those sounds. Thoughts?
Why the fuck GB doesn't let you use the original drum kit that you chose, every time I open the plugin menu it switches to electric piano, I dont wanna use that or import external samples
Hey man, I have multiple samples uploaded onto my sample and can play and record them all without issue...my question is, do you know how to assign each sample to its own audio channel (so I can automate each samples volume, panning etc) Or do I need to just open a new track and a new sampler for each sample I want to use if I want to have them on separate audio channels??
Been looking for a tutorial like this for five hours already. Thanks man!
Glad I could help.
When I go to plugins to where it says the instrument name it doesnt give me the options (Au Generators, Au instruments, etc)
i had this problem too. you need to go to the top menu> GarageBand > Preferences > Audio MIDI > enable audio units checkbox
Dude, thank you so much! I've been looking for this for the last 6 hours :)
Hey man. Appreciate the help. Although I can't figure out how to see the actual AU Sampler. ONLY THE CONTROLS AND EQ!

if you want to use the stock sounds from garageband you could just open a project, play the sample, and save that file if you know what i mean.

Can you use a midi controller with those samples (.wav audio files)? Thanks a lot!
Yes
*Hey Carlos, do you have the whole track? I liked it! Please share!*
Thanks! But no I dont. That was just a little thing I threw together for the video lol.
@@CarlosCastillogearhead I liked it
do you have to have a .wav file????
Not sure if you have to, but wav files are better quality than mp3
I can’t pick any sounds. It’s like the color isn’t filled in and I can’t pick the song to sample
rename the end of the file from .mp3 to .wav i had the same problom
can we do it on mobile?
Your a lifesaver
maybe you can figure out how to assign audio to a stereo channel

Ya just make a new track per sample.
do I need the essentials downloaded for this to work on the native software
not sure
sounded like a lil peep sample in the beginning
