@@lewieandtheroverone word…stunning. The scale and remoteness of the landscape reminded us of our Namibia trip 20 years ago (more elephants and less snow…but you know what i mean. It is really hard to convey the scale and beauty on film but you guys certainly did that. We will be taking our Hilux Camper and WILL get the book, for a last big adventure before we get too old!
Definitely! It’s hard to believe we were actually there! We came from Kyrgyzstan where we already spent a couple of weeks around 3000m so our bodies adjusted slowly. Still we had some light symptoms but not too bad 😊 The car had more trouble getting started in the morning haha
@@LucasTJahn I did most of this route by bicycle and barely ever felt a thing. People's bodies handle altitude differently, but I personally remember ascending from 2000m in Khorog to 4300m at a mountain pass two or three days later, and the moment when I was going over the pass dragging the bicycle on that awful road covered with loose stones was the only time I really felt that it was harder to breathe. I think that as long as you give your body a few days to climatize, you should be fine.
Thank you guys for sharing such an incredible video. I think you used some effects. Didn't you? I am from Tajikistan, but I didn't know that we have beautiful landscapes like this😅. Love your videos❤
Quality videos but they do make it all seem that a journey like this is all very easy peasy and nothing but joy and happiness, no stress at all. Even when you get stuck in the middle of nowhere there is a joyous atmosphere about it, though it should normally be pretty stressful.

How are you ever going to be able to go home to NL after this kind of adventure. I took at stove apart this week. I found bulk dust from western Australia in it. It hangs around for years. Cheers Rolanda ❤️
Courageous. The Defender that got stuck does not seem to have differential lockers on front wheels. It is a nice option to have when you venture in this type of terrain.
