I love watching the hulls cut through the water, how they react to waves and wakes, and especially how much forward the captain can see when the bow is raised. They ALL look good at reat.
Great video! Next time, start posting the cost for a boat slip, insurance, maintenance (and most of those 50’ plus boats are going to have a crew). Also, the girl in the bikini on the sunpad probably wasn’t cheap either! 😂
Excellent video, great stats...the amount of money that it takes to fuel these yachts is for sure mind blowing, not to mention the upkeep / maintenance...amazing.
Trickle down economics actually DO WORK - if our beloved non -tax-paying 1-percenters race by fast enough so it trickles down on us wage- and mortgage slave who have to get up in the morning to earn the taxes and the loan interest to pay for this.
Sounds like F1-driver Kimi Räikkönen 😁 Actually he's OK with that, still hanging out with his old friends from younger times. Because when he started getting those million-dollar deals from the formula 1 world, he announced to his friends: "Right, from now on the partys on me, no matter what the cost!" Sounds like an honest guy.
Enjoyed the extra info. - I am not sure if my credit card could fill up some of those yachts! It's still fun to watch - thanks for taking the time and effort, well done.
Fuel is pocket change when you can afford a $3M boat. Of course many of these are owned by multiple people or parties, so at least they can spread out the costs.
Great post! Explains why so many powerboats always sit in the marina. Being raised on sailboats, I'll take sailing any day. Once you're out in open water, all you hear is the sound of the sea against the hull and the foam from the wake. And wooden boats sound far better than fiberglass.
This is why you get a displacement hull boat! Smaller engines, exponentially better fuel mileage, and much lower maintenance costs. Example: a 50' displacement hull boat running at hull speed can run at the same fuel cost as a bass boat! A sailboat can make an atlantic crossing using less than 50 gallons of diesel, and this includes running the generator, engines, air conditioners, all electronics, etc. (You can make it on less, but you won't be near as comfortable)
Great Video liked all the boats! Next Video could you change the text on the specs of each Yacht to either white or yellow the black was too dark to read against the blue of the water! Again thanks for great videos!
Great video I had no idea of the prices of all those boats and the amount of fuel they use. I'm completely shocked!!! Got to also say, I'm also a bit jealous of the owners too!! Thanks for posting the vid
just a general comment...THANXS for just letting the natural sound come through ... almost every you tube video has some bogus music in it ...people way over produce their videos , which would be much better off to just let the sounds of nature come through... SO THANK YOU by not adding anything that would make these videos un watchable...and adding the graphics is a wonderful plus .. you dont have to google every boat to get the info you add... GREAT VIDEOS , THEY ARE PERFECT
A thousand bucks an hour to run, and that's just the fuel costs. Figure in the insurance, crew, depreciation loss, maintenance, harbour and storage costs, maybe even annual taxes and fees, it's probably double that.
Wow this place is busy! Unlike the California delta where my boat was one of the few that actually ran and went out every weekend. (Just sold it so I can leave the zoo) Most large boats here are from the 1970 and 80’s and don’t run or at least not for very long. Of the nicest yachts seen in this video there may 5 in the entire delta. Very few 2000 and newer. And no one I trust to work on them.
Well, at least I know a backup occupation. Have the skill and knowledge but just don’t fit well in cramped places. My back is too stiff. I’d have to get a skinny, strong guy to direct for that Lol.

I have to laugh we had a Bayliner 3288 with twin hino 135 hp diesels and they burnt 6 gallons per hour per engine at wide open throttle 2500 rpm. when we cruised at 1200 rpm 10 knots we burnt 1 gallon per hour and I had 100 gallon tanks per engine. Man could we ever go a lot way maybe not fast but cheap. had to sell her because my wife had a stroke and the guy who bought her was very happy. The need for speed is a disease but if you got the money well what's 68 gallons per hour at cruise.
That Absolute fly looked like it was heading to the moon the trim is so nose up , and it looks like it’s ass is digging a massive hole in the water . I’ve seen quite a few of them over in Europe and their all the same , tail dragging everywhere . I think it’s the fact they are all IPS powered and they shove them right back to the furthest aft position , gives more space inside but handling looks awful
I appreciate the vessel descriptions but Black Lettering on dark background isn't veryb easy to read, try a lighter color for the description lettering.
Man, that Pershing 90... I could not imagine going 52 mph on the water in something longer than an 18 wheeler, wow I wonder which of the italians is most reliable/easiest to maintain among Absolute, Cranchi, Azimut, etc
Jake Stoler, Azimut build quality isnt very good at all, and most of the time u try and take it out something breaks. Absolute and Cranchi are both very similar quality/maintenance wise but absolutes look better and have a better layout in my opinion. Absolute also does have the advantage of AMAZINGLY efficient boat... (absolute specifically designed the hull for IPS drives and volvo also used absolutes hulls to test and improve the drives while other manufacturers just make cheap corner cutting methods)
I always thought that if I'd ever win the lotto jackpot, I'd open a homeless shelter and help the truly poor and abused children. This video confirms my choice.
For the cost of the Yacht, the mooring, the maintenance, any crew to help and gas to go anywhere. I think I better charter a helicopter, plane ride or both with a hotel room or camping gear if need be. They are nice for those with more money than they can spend. Just not me.
Thing about boats... any kind is they all drain your wallet, the only difference between them is how fast and how much. Basic operating costs for a yacht, fuel, crew, slip fees, food, regular maintenance , etc. is big money and will separate the wanna bees with the ones who really have deep pockets.
Love your reading the brochure on fuel consumption. Lol. I own and captain a 70 ft Azimet . If you run outa the speed you are saying yes you are right. At 12 mph I burn 8 gph

Jon Oakley i know right? I don’t even have any boater friends. At least not like any of these boats. I’ve had my share of 16-20’ single motor bay fishing as a teen.
Monterey 200ls top speed 45 to 50 with the wind behind me and at 5am in the morning fuel 68 bucks a tank engine fuel injected 305 ol last all weekwnd pulling tubes haha
Well yes, it is expensive to operate a power driven vessel. However, fuel is way cheaper than the math on this video of $4/gal. Just a quick search of current diesel prices in FL turned up many at less than $2.50/gal. and that was not even the bulk price of bringing in a tank truck to fill those big fuel tanks, plus very few of those captains run the boats that hard. So fuel consumption is vastly lower than the max calculated throughout this great vid over a year's worth of operating... But, it is a way cool video:)

Exactly. My dads buddy has one and one trip would cost like 13k in fuel. Crazy.

I'd like to see the same data for the outboard powered boats in your videos, especially the boats with 4 motors or more.
Awesome new format when you’re able to give some extra information about the boats!
When you own boats that big you don’t worry about fuel cost

The ball park figure is 10% of the purchase cost, per year, with another 10% tucked in your back pocket to pay for annual major jobs.
They do say for the average boat owner his 2 happiest days are when he buys it and when he sells it.
