  • This time on the AutoEdits Drive Your Adventures series of videos... come along for a group tour of a few of my favorite spots in Death Valley. On this trip we'll have ‪@DirtLifestyle‬ and ‪@WillometMotorFab‬ along with their amazing vehicles!
Special thanks to Nate and Jessica from ‪@DirtLifestyle‬ for all the great drone footage and exterior shots in this video!!! Seriously good stuff!
I'll be cruising in the 1995 Chevy Tahoe on 35" Milestar Patagonia tires, Nate is running his 2003 Land Rover Discovery2 on one ton axles and 39" BFG KM3 tires and David brought along his highly modified 1985 diesel Suburban on 40" Maxxis Razr tires.

I see Nate wheeling in some crazy conditions. He always has top notch equipment and preparations.

I’m loving the Tahoe build bud. You’ve inspired me once again. This time I’ve grabbed up a $500 S-10 Blazer with under 150k on odometer and runs amazing! The 4.3 Vortec is just fantastic. Hoping to compile some footage for the channel of the Blazer build. I need a name for it lol.

Jason I mentioned to you once I use to go Gorman/Frazier part back in the day and it brought back some great memories when I first saw your video with the Ram. Although I've wheeled in Sequoia, the coast back when we were allowed to drive on the beach, the Sierra, Red woods and etcetera And yet growing up in S. California I have never gone to death valley. You mentioned organizing another trip to Death Valley. If you do I would be interested in attending.

@@AutoEdits it is really easy to do... You could to be on cheap do part of hood, like a u shape in middle, roof, and bottom of door skins. You can tint the liner too if black isn't your desired color... After I was done I got a cheap ceramic coating kit and coated the liner material which makes it easier to clean. Only regret is I followed instructions but wish I had applied thinner on my door skins. I need to make some build videos for my truck. These tahoes are so darn cool! And so few people have caught onto how awesome they are for offroading.

But some day I would like to get my rig fixed up with a lift winch bumpers rock sliders wheels an tires ext. but my budget is limited right now I’m on a shoe string budget. Right now I’m just rebuilding my front end along with a few other things that had got damaged I got into an accident a wile back. Its my only vehicle for my family an me to get around in. But now It’s been sitting in the garage on jacks stands I fix on it from time to time moneys tight so I’m hopping maybe one day I will Wine the lotto an I can fix it up like I want to 😂 it’s bone stock nothing fancy to look at but it’s mine. I’m no mechanic by any means. But I’ve been around cars all my life. So I know my way around.

Spent the next day on the Racetrack Loop. We did try Cerro Gordo the last day, but it got too gnarly for being solo, so then we headed out to Alabama Hills and to get a look at Mt Whitney. Love your channel, Jason. Sorry you got rid of Ram Johnson. But, that's life. Got a couple minor quibbles with this video. You may have pronounced Searles the actual proper way, but, having been born and raised in Searles Valley, no one pronounces it the way you did. It's more like Sear-els, just so you know. Also, Goler Wash starts in Panamint Valley not Searles Valley. When you go over that windy road on the north end of Searles Valley you're leaving Searles Valley and entering Panamint Valley. I think our driver's ed teacher got a thrill out of making student drivers go over that road. I don't know if it has guard rails now, but it didn't back in the 1970's and there used to be regular gravel trucks running up and down at the time taking ore to the Westend plant for processing. Scared the crap out of me the first time, especially when one of those gravel trucks was in the other lane. I haven't been there in a long time. Nice to see videos from around that area. Thanks for sharing.

How do you find the width and wheelbase of the Tahoe off-road? Limiting or not too bad? Just thinking about an ideal family wheeling rig down the road.

The Tahoe and Jeep are very close footprint wise but the Tahoe has more overhang front and rear. I like it a lot so far.

@@AutoEdits good to know! I was looking at some measurements online and was surprised to find out a Tahoe is almost the exact size of a land cruiser 80 series. Also I think the gmt400 is the most narrow full size gm truck, thanks for the reply and content 👍

I have a stock 2007 Suburban I want to take overlanding at Death Valley should I put a 4 inch lift on it ? or just a winch and drag it over the tough parts.

At this moment, I'm all about figuring out a bit of armor and some rocker protection and keeping it low but a Suburban has a bit more wheelbase to worry about.

@@AutoEdits Yes I am considering rocker bars.
