Just me pointing my phone out of the window and trying to capture the views when I should be driving! 🤣🤣Enjoyed seeing the set-up and review. Nice with 3 views and looks like a nice picture. Thanks guys. Yes it is a good bit of tech and I’m sure I can find some footage for my vids from it. Also guards against the increasingly bad standard of drivers over here and people that brake test you trying insurance scams. Which is very common at the moment.

I was the same thing about a dash cam for a while and after someone went in the back of my last Christmas, we got front and rear fitted in the new car we got last May. They look real good cameras, especially at 4K too and the set up to the app looked very straight forward. You did a good job hiding all the wires and connecting the cameras to the Wi-Fi and both footage and audio were both very clear, just what you want. Very comprehensive review to be honest, cheers Alan

Great review, Watto. It does look like a good product. The footage looked very respectable and good enough for vlogs. And even though it's mounted on Kim's side of the car, it shouldn't be in her line of sight 😊.
Yes mate it is a very good bit of kit. And with the standard of idiots in the road these days. Almost essential.
It is about 4 feet above Kim’s head so won’t be an issue. 🤣🤣

Great unboxing and review. Seen a lot of great dashcam footage videos online. I wish I could have caught a few moments this week. There is more tec in your car than in the Starship Enterprise D! Very clear footage. 👍

....with the rear camera installation you can actually pass cable thru those rubber channels and hide cable completely.

Thanks for the video. Just a heads-up that the length of cable between the rear camera and front camera is not as long in practical use as it appears when wound. I used it on a Volvo SUV following an efficient path in terms of keeping the length of cable short and there was little left over.
Good to know. My car is a lot shorter than an SUV so has quite a bit left o we which I stuffed into the head lining.

So do you have to plug it in every time you get in the car and have to remember to unplug it every time you get out?
Hi Kevin. I don't unplug it as the power cuts when my car is turned off. I imagine some cars still have power to the 12v adapter but there is always the option to hardwire it. And the unit uses minimal power when in parking mode.
I'm doing the initial setup and I see it has a slot for an SD card but there is no SD card in the slot and want to know if I need one in order to use this dashcam? Great unboxing and set up video
You will need a Micro SD card for the footage to be recorded to. I would advise at least 128 GB. And a good spec. I use Sandisc extreme Pro cards for all my uses including the dashcam.

Have you installed the polarised filter yet? For sure you could do with it watching that. I've just ordered one of these wirh the filter. What is ur long term review of it? I'm looking at getting it hardwired at some point for the parking modes
Hi Jon. No I haven tbh but might get the filter. Not too much sun over here 🤣. Long term it has proven to be excellent. I was rear ended a month ago and the footage was perfectly clear captured number plate and 3 views of the incident. Which was submitted to the police as he drove off. And has led to him being caught. I am deffo thinking if hardwiring too for the same reason. 👍🏻
Just wondering, why doesn't anybody use motorcycle dashcams ? Those are way smaller with pretty much the same specs ?
Not sure they are but is an option. Instant control via the app. 3 cameras. 4K very good audio. Voice control. Incident saving. It depends how much you will need. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm not sure what happened to the second video because I can't find it so I don't know what pictures were like quality wise or at night time. Can you advise please on the display can you just display one camera? or would you have to have the 3 camera split screen view all the time. Also when you are playing back the files are they encompassed into 1 Or can you play back all 3 separately in full screen? hope that makes sense thank you
Hi Anthony. I never did get round to making the follow up but is still planned. The display can be cycled through all three cameras or just one of them. So each camera uploads its own file. When downloading either over the Wi-Fi or direct from the SD card. There will be 3 files for each length of recording. The length can be chosen in the settings. I have mine set at 3 mins. So each 3mins of footage will have a file from each camera. I actually had someone hit me from behind and downloaded the footage from the rear and front cams to submit to the police. Hi Bryan. No the Wi-Fi is put out by the camera and is used to connect to phone if you want to use it to adjust settings etc. whether hard wired in or using the 12v connector the camera starts recording as soon as there is power. Wi-Fi is useful if you want to transfer footage to your phone without taking the SIM card out of the cam.

How about in Parking mode? Where does it get power? In case something happened to the car while parked, would it still continue recording it based on impact or it has motion detection while parked?
Does it charge even when not connected to cigarette port so it can still record?

Hi there thanks for watching. To be able to use the parking mode it does need to be hard wired which is a separate kit that is available. I am told it is easy to do and there are other reviews detailing this.
When hardwired you can adjust settings to have it record at a low frame rate therefore using very minimal power.
I have not hardwired mine so can’t attest to how that setting performs. Hope this helps.

It is purely for convenience. As there are a lot of vehicles that have that option. There is also a hardwired kit available if that is what is preferred. So all bases are covered. 🤷🏻♂️
@@WanderingwithWatto that’s my point. It’s actually very inconvenient. How many cars even still use a cigarette lighter. That power source is antiquated and inconvenient nowadays. My 2018 maxima car only has the one in the middle console making this setup impractical and the hardware setup…I’m terrified. lol
