Awesome session Eric! Keep them coming. Timed that one to perfection, wasn’t fancying it to begin with after giving it some beans on last nights 3x15 but got that post erg satisfaction now. Cheers 🤙🏻
LOVE THE VIDEOS. I can tell how much you enjoy the sport. I’m in high school right now. I was a full time football player now rower. I fell in love with the sport and intend on taking part in it in college:)
Keep up the training! rowing is an honest sport. Work in = Results out. So remember that. Do the time, look for improvement, which can change quickly sometimes and then can take a long time at other stages... So be patience.
Hi Erci, thanks a million for all that usefull, helpfull and motivating stuff! Today I did "1000m Time Trial - World Rowing Challenge March 2019". It was quiet interesting. I did leave some feedback regarding that 1K in that comment box ... . Not sure, if I should just move on to do one of the trainings after another or if I might should work more on my aerobic base. Or move on with the trainings and do some additional aerobic stuff inbetween. I left my 1K, 500m, 1min, 100m times in the comment box of the 1K TT video (1000m Time Trial - World Rowing Challenge March 2019). Cheers and have a good one :)
ill go check it out if i can find it. So IMO, if you build your aerobic base, you can do anything. you wont get a great short distance time score as you need to specifically train for power and speed for that, but youll get better 1km, 2km 5/6km and so forth. youll also get better at longer training pieces and the likes. but what im trying to do for these ergs is to mix it up as you want to make sure that happens in a program. if you mix it up and tough different pressures and HR's and intensities, you cover all base :)
@@ericmurray-kiwipairindoorr2302 I struggle to display my times here. Somehow YT doesn't want me to do it ... But still, I got your message and I'll go and mix it up. 4 or 5 of your sessions a week and 1 or 2 additional aerobic stuff (a session from your steady state sessions or a session on the bike).
hello eric, thx for your vedio . why you segmentmgent the time as long as there is no any change in rate or spilt . why you didnt said 30 min @ 24 - 10 min @ 24 . thx
I'm preaching to a wide audience mate. If i told people to do a 60minute row, there would be very few that did it. If i said do 6x10miutes, maybe some people, 10x6minutes sounds even better. So its about finding something to cover time we need to do. So if you set the 'Countdown" as it is, its a mental check at every time marker and you never see a huge number and the time clicks down really quickly.
Concept2 is coming out with one... So watch this space, or maybe email them and see if they are on the market yet.. You can make a few hacks.... just letting you know... if you own the machine, its easy to hack.

I suspect it's to help him (us) keep focused on the task at hand. We are less likely to drift away if we refocus at each time interval.
