- Hi guys. In this tutorial I will show you how to make my “Not So Slouchy” beanie using our Sentro 48 knitting machine. I purchased mine from Amazon prime.

I just got one of these machines after wanting one for years. Watched several videos on the “how to” from several creators. Your method by far was the easiest. Made my first beanie in about a hour (with several interruptions). Love this.

I used part of your method for the white yarn cast off but I did 25 rows, put the starter yarn in the middle and grabbed the edges and put it thru each hook around then put the yarn back and wind like normal. Successful brim without needing to do 112 rows. I struggled with casting off before but your method helped a lot!

When i am going to switch to a different color on the sentro 48 do i place the new color under the white peg or on the peg to the left of the white hook?

Yes these fit my husbands head ! You can always adjust to make the brim bigger or even no brim!

Does the Super Saver yarn work on the knitting machine? I love the vibrant colours here and really wanna get this lol. But I saw some users say some types are too thick for the machine
Some of my machines don’t like certain yarns so it just depends, but as long as you’re working with a weight 4 yarn you should be ok. And you can always use the dryer sheet hack on your yarn to see if that helps

What Yarn you use on knitting machine
How do you stop your Sentro from going all over the table which makes it hard to turn? I have the suction cups on but they don't stay.
Mine doesn’t either and mine seems sticky and hard to turn. It doesn’t crank smoothly. It drops stitches so much and ruins my projects. I hope you find a better way that works for you!

So yours doesn't tuck/drop stitches with red heart stripes? I've tried two stripe colors and no matter what tension I try, it's not consistent. I've been messing with different yarns/tensions but it's been frustrating with a couple of successes haha also made your Beetlejuice inspired beanie as well👍
One of my previous sentros didn’t like red heart. But there’s a hack! If you use a dryer sheet as you crank and hold the strand in the dryer sheet. It helps it! My current sentro doesn’t like “I love this yarn” from hobby lobby. I will have to make a UA-cam / TikTok video on this hack!

@@frankandluna so I did happen across the dryer sheet hack and it certainly helped a lot! Only tucked one stitch haha I'm having good luck with the Big Twist Value yarn
Red Heart and Caron Jumbo give me problems as well. Joann's and Caron cake yarn work well. Had good luck with Premier yarn.

My Sentro doesn’t knitting the super save yarn also I see all the tricks people do to use the super saver yarn. You luck your Sentro doesn’t make a fussy to knitting that yarn
My other sentro hated red heart ! It just depends but I have a video on the dryer sheet hack and it sometimes helps ! Or you can use thread magic too 🖤
I cannot get it to work. I followed your steps exactly but the hooks don't catch the yarn half of the time. Using same stripe yarn as you. I don't want to cry about it. So frustrating. I've been at it all day.

I have to share a secret! At the end you don't need scrap yarn! Just use the last tail and take out with a needle all the stitches from the machine 😍

Thank you! This method works the best for me! Every time I do the needle 🪡 method I drop a stitch!
@@carolynhummel4791 oh I don't have a video about it. You just leave enough yarn at the end. Then you pass it through a short needle. With every crack of the machine you take each stich out of it. One by one, with the yarn inside them. I hope you will find the way!

Update: I ordered my sentro on Amazon but it’s coming from China and will take a month to arrive. This wasn’t eligible for prime when I ordered. I’ve shopped around online and it seems like they are all shipping from China.
I'm a huge knitter and crafter and I think this machine sucks wasted my money drops stitches constantly I tried everything I was told to do nothing works

Don’t bother with this machine. It cranks over and wool gets trapped. Waste of money’s
