A good company would have fitted hose burst check valves on the door rams to prevent injury or death... Over here that installation would be 'illegal' 😢

Hydraulic hose and fittings are matched. Gates fittings go on Gates hose, Parker fittings on Parker hose. Unless they are made to interchange (not likely) The reasons are technical. I spent 35 years making hoses for 300 customers.

Chet, don't worry about us not understanding you, we're used to you bye now, and there is an easy solution, get a new set of teeth. Anyway it's part of your charm. Has anyone else noticed how similar Randy and Dougo sound not just inflections, but actual voices. When Randy was working on trailer, at first I thought it was Dougo, until I saw a different shirt, then penny dropped. That is why we love the whole family, staff etc.

Just an idea, but where you park all of your trailers, you should pour a long concrete pad for the landing gear to sit on and then they won't sink into the ground.

Thanks for another great video Chet and crew.
    It was interesting and enjoyable.
Lots of busy work going on waiting for fields to dry.
Nice fix on the hydraulic door hoses. Some were really long. You got it fixed.
Randy, your trailer needs some work on it. Good to see Randy.
Trailer will be nice all fixed up.
You all are keeping the shop busy for. Thanks for everything.

Then put the pictures on a cheap Android tablet (cheap in case it gets wet). Then just look at the pictures to mix. Bigger screen, easier to see than on a phone. Or if you were to get really ambitious, type them out into to .txt file.

Just buy new hoses, it's cheaper in the long run and faster to fix the door. Chet, make new cheat sheets, go to a UPS store then have them laminate them. That will make them waterproof and will protect them for a long time.

Same boat as you this year for farming!! Living in north east Montana for 5 years (I'm french), the first year of seeding battling with rain, pretty dry usually here. So we won't complain about it but it's frustrating, can't seed more than 2 days before getting some showers again 😅
    Good luck for planting!!

Just like the mechanic told me before he blew my engine. Your chassis is leaking. Maybe you might look into like Fastenal. They come and fill up bolts and screws every so often, and can bring special order to. Obviously monthly fee. But didn't know if they carry hydraulic hose parts. Good luck

One-time fix for your door hydraulics: replace the rubber hoses with steel lines (already exist overhead--use sweeping bends if needed, not elbows.) . Maybe a shorty flex if needed. And you are correct--mix/match fitting/hose brands is a bad idea (especially with crimped ends.)

Noticed that you'll do not drop your suspension when getting under a trailer. There should be a switch upper far right side of dash, top one. Let air out of suspension and under you go. Flip switch and tractor airs up while you are connecting air lines and lights, and jack is easy peasy
