It's not just the nerfs, it's the attention in general that the game is getting right now. Nothing is being addressed, any response the community is given consists of no more than vague, cryptic nothings used to excuse the lack of content. It really speaks volumes when months into your release you add commas between digits. I had fun for the first 300 hours. Id like the devs to prove this is a live service game they care about.
it's like they're punishing us at the moment, with bad tired maps with hellish environments. why??? we're the ones who have put up with constant crashes, disconnects, the difficulty of getting into a game, and all the other stuff, they have an all time low player count and they offer us HELLMIRE for two weeks straight?? wtf??? i log in every day just to see if there is decent maps to play. haven't played in 5 days
As soon as they nerfed the railgun I knew that they had no idea what they were doing with balance. I was praying they would take the DRG road and buff guns that were weak to make them more viable and only need something if it was absolutely insanely broken to a point of ridiculousness. But they didn't. They took that worst possible route of nerfing anything good.
They think we're only complaining about fun, because some elite helldivers are clearing 9s no problem. Great for you. A lot of people are FAILING missions because the game is too hard.
Honestly I’m annoyed every time one of the weapons I use is nerfed, but in the days after I haven’t more fun because I have to come up with new strategies and so on. And honestly if you have a team of 4 half decent players even on difficulty 9 is manageable, I would even wish for mode 10,11,12 because they get easy even with the nerfs. The nerfs are annoying, yes. But I think if every weapon is buffed and everyone can play helldives, the game would be very interesting and fun for one week max and then everyone would get bored and stop playing the game. And just a reminder: if you want an easy game, difficulty 2 or 3 is named easy, if you want a difficult game, that’s like 5 or 6, they’re names are difficult and very difficult for a reason.
The tripple Eruptor nerf was what did it for me... loved this game but the fun is gone. 200 hours in and I had enought supercredits but even so I purchuased the warbond with money to show my suport, then they do this to it....yeah I am done.
I think most people exaggerate the extent to which there are nerfs. The nerfs to the eruptor, the crossbow, and the slugger were kind of rough. But there are still a ton of really strong guns. The breaker and the sickle are still A tier. The breaker incendiary, the Blitzer, the scorcher, the plasma punisher, the dominator, the digiligence counter sniper, and punisher all still feel really nice. When I load into a mission, I still feel spoiled for choices. There are more guns I enjoy shooting then I have time to use them all as much as I would like. I would definitely like to see some nerfs reverted. But it's not killing the game. If anything is killing the game, it's the spawn rates. As a solo player, the increased spawn rates are pretty rough. But I don't really think the nerfs matter too much

There is an interesting post in the HD2 Steam General Discussion forum called "For those of you wondering why balance is so out of whack" which explains that one person is responsible for balancing weapons. The balancing was based on weapon popularity, also YT and TT videos celebrating a weapon (eg. Railgun, Arc Thrower, etc...). He also ruined another game before cursing this one (Hello Neighbor 2).
I did not mind the Arc Thrower being nerfed for the range but the speed being nerfed kinda pissed me off. Alot of people couldnt even figure out how to shoot it fast so it was cool to have mastered that technique.
300hrs in the game. Agreed with everything you said. They are taking their time with this next patch. CEO has heard our complaints. This next patch is make or break. All my friends have stopped playing. If the next patch doesn't take the game towards fun, it's over. I got my money's worth, but it sad their balance team did so much damage to the game. As a comparison, Diablo 4 came out very mid, but as of season 4 is really fun now. Helldivers 2 came out really good but it's bad now. I hope AH can turn things around. I really do.
I have been streaming season 4 and I am thinking it's enough to bring to me for sure, this game has slowly lost me over the last few patches, I want it to be good again but am not going to hold out hope maybe in a year it will be back to where we can have fun
my issue with this game is : 1- why the hell divers without the ammo booster dive into planets with lower then full ammo stacked that booster is nonsense 2- why ARs don't have larger magazines drums if they fighting large amount of enemies which doesn't make sense 3- why stalwart machine gun is even a support weapon ? 4- why hunters have slow ability when most of the small spitting enemies exist 5- why spewers have more dmg then chargers they can one shoot you with the vomit 6 - why bile titans even the vomit don't touch you u still get the slow effect 7- why chargers and bile titan expose flesh still deflect light pen weapons it have armored organs? 8- why automatons have insane knock back effect even if the rocket didn't touch you 9- why devastator can snipe unlimited rocket 10 - why eagle stratagems are the only most effective ones 11- why very few weapon are the most effective in missions ( fire shotgun + Blitzer for bugs) (scorcher and plasma punsher for automatons) 12 - bringing any support weapon that cant deal with heavy armored enemies you basically fuked 13- why bugs W key is stuck no matter what 14- fleshy parts of bugs should take way take way more dmg then any parts of the body but it not considered a weak point? spewers take more dmg to the head witch have armor then the butt that have no armor which is bad design 15 - why sniper weapons even a thing ? 16- why anti material rifle is not for heavy armored enemies? 17 -why purifier do same dmg as plasma punisher but stuiped long charge time 18- why not make a purifier have 2 mod of firing 1- semi firing do 200 dmg with no explosive 2- charging mode do 300 with explosive 19 -why the heavy machine gun have less ammo when the modle looks like it should have 200 per reload 20- why machine gun reload make you crouch instead make it able to move while reloading 21 - why air busrt is even a thing? make it explode on impact only or u chose to detenat it 22- why smgs do more dmg and slower fire rate then ARs? just make smg faster with same dmg and buff ARs dmg by duble
Honestly, the Nerf of the Sickle from 6 to just 3 Mags (Heatsinks) isn't that terrible. I think it is the only gun that I have yet to shot dry.😂 But the other nerfs for ammo, yeah there where not really necessary.

I like how devs characterized railgun gameplay as brain-dead and then just add quasar cannon. With railgun it was one guy strip armor from charger leg and after that other guy shoot this leg to kill it while railgun guy is already shooting next charger. We had some kind of teamplay between players. With quasar you just shoot charger to the head, thats all. Yeah, this is definitely way more sophisticated than our brain-dead way to play.
What AH is doing is just making the game tedious to play while offering very little enjoyment out of it. There's really a fine line between making a game challenging and tedious and it seems like AH still hasn't found where they want to be yet.
My friends and I have uninstalled this game because the devs care more about making the game an absolute frustrating slog to play than to make it fun. Everything weapon or strat that sounds or looks cool is an utter disappointment. Every bug or glitch that frustrates a diver never gets addressed. I've made a long list. Warbonds are all shit and a waste of money. The devs have been sniffing their own farts and think they know how you should enjoy the game.
Nah I get the Railgun nerf, that gun was not fun nor balanced. But Breaker was peek and other weapons should have used that as a base model for dmg and efficiency. The Eruptor was meh but fun and it got wrecked, the crossbow was not even used and wrecked to the ground. Sycle is fine, it's energy but rly having to aim perfectly all the time at bots is bloody annoying. Like putting thread through a needle, not fun (Eustache moment when I aim at the damn charger eye or devastators tiny head). And then bile titans have barely an apparent weakspot bcz mouth doesn't seem to do as much, Stryder is also a beast but in defense mission it blows ur objective from miles. I am good but rly most weapons can't shine no more and not all want to squint at this game when fighting bots

Bro, this is embarrassing. They do make the bad weapons good. The nerfs are fine. You shouldn't be able to solo helldive with 1 gun. The ammo capacity was balanced with more mags returned on resupply.
You can still use guns that get nerfed. Railgun is still really powerful. You just need to use it on unsafe mode for the heavy armor targets. When I saw the bullet guard dog got nerfed I was thinking "isn't that one garbage already?" So I tried it out and it's awesome. My friends were running the ballistic sheild before it got its massive buff because it's good. Personally, when quasar cannon first came out I was saying that it pretty much removed any reason to bring the recoilless, now that it's nerfed I do think the nerf was a bit too much but an in between would be perfect. If your playstyle revolves around using only the best stuff because it makes the game easy then I don't feel bad for you.
You are just plain wrong. The railgun was the only viable option at the time for helldive. Apart from stealth it was the only way to clear helldive missions well. They absolutely should have just buffed other options. Case and point is DRG. They never need anything unless it's so busted that it makes the game easy, which cannot be said about the railgun. It made helldive *playable* not easy. Instead in DRG, they buff underperforming overclocks and weapons. I knew this was coming too. I literally told my friend if they need the railgun this games balance department is going down the complete wrong path. Never letting metal develope and allowing players to build their own play style. You're just wrong.
Meh, most of the stuff you said is just not true tho. - They nerfed a lot of stuff, yet they buffed a ton as well. - The breaker Is still great. The railgun was too strong before, a gun that doesn't require a backpack and allows you to run the shield can't be that powerful. Since the nerf people started playing more stuff, making the load outs a lot more diversified. - "Tell them they shouldn't play that way" while showing the post from the devs saying they are doing nothing to counter the "leg meta" is funny because you are countering your own point... - Planet hazards do not target the player only - The melee works, it's just not the focal point of the game. As you said: it's a shooting game, melee is not important. - The Eruptor is still good, they should give the shrapnel back, the mag size is not bad atm, it was too much back then. - The sickle has infinite ammo if you don't overheat, 6 mags was crazy. I think 3 is too much, maybe 4 like the scythe would have been better but ultimately doesn't change that much. - The warbond thing... just because the war bonds are bonus stuff, that doesn't mean they can't rebalance them. I mean, you pay for the game, but nerfs and buffs are expected. Actually, the war bonds are not really "bought" if you use super credits. - I agree the crossbow was bad and stayed bad, imo they don't know what they want from the weapon. - The patrols where bugged, so they did not buff the enemies, they fixed the game... Why are you not showing the whole text? - On the enemy numbers, once again, show everything. They changed the "enemy distribution", which means = same number of enemies, more of a certain type. - The melee is dogshit because this Is a shooting game, the CEO said it is an interesting idea but it's not something they want to do rn, maybe in the future. - First of all, armor is not that complicated, the CEO talked about it on twitter, but if you play the game for a little bit you understand what enemy types your weapons can damage. They fixed the ricochet, it doesn't mean you are gonna get hit all the damn time. Seems to me you can't read or you just hate fixes at this point. - The fire tornado one shot was an unintended consequence of the fire buff, which has been reverted, just as the hulk's flamethrower one shot. Oh, you skipped the "fire buff" thing, you know, the thing you were asking about. They increased all the fire damage helldivers do by only 50%, lets not talk about that tho. - You show the "solo player patrol spawn increase" post as if it is something different to what you showed before, and once again, it's a fix. - You can kill a charger with your basic guns, you just need to hit the butt. The only bug you can't kill with a primary is the bile titan, you can still damage it a lot tho. - The quasar still one shots with a good hit, as it should be. They increased the cooldown form 13 secs to 18, which is still nothing since it can kill stuff that otherwise requires stratagems with 3 mins of cooldown... Just to give you an example, the quasar does the same thing an EAT does. The EAT has two shots with 1 min cd, the quasar can hit 3 times in the same time, even after the nerf. You either did not read the full posts of balances arrowhead did, or picked and chose what you wanted to make a bait video that farms the hate. Is the game perfect? Absolutely not. Is the balancing perfect? Nope, but it's not as bad as you portrayed it to be. You skipped the fact that almost every weapon got a damage increase in the last patches, the weapon you are using in the video (fire breaker) is one of the best primaries for bug missions, and is just the breaker with fire damage. The rover you are using got a damage nerf so it doesn't one shot helldivers, yet basically does the same damage to enemies. The flamethrower was the worst weapon and now shreds bugs like it's nothing. Stun grenades and fire grenades are beasts. The grenade pistol has opened up many different load outs. I could go on, but I think I made my point. I could understand not being happy with the nerfs, but showing posts in a misleading way is not ok.
I got this: 1) Yes, any weapon that got buffed was in a complete dogshit state, remember where the Counter Sniper was before 2 buff patches? 2) If the breaker isn't OP, why did they nerf it in the first place? Lazy. 3) The post clearly shows they meant for players to kill the Chargers via headshots, yet it was faster to kill them via the leg and they passive-aggressively stated this should change. 4) I think more he's just mad that swords aren't in the game yet, but yeah definitely his weakest point. 5) Eruptor is hot garbage right now, if it couldn't close bug holes and bot fabs it would be a useless gun, it's just a worse version of the Jar. 6) Sickle didn't change much from the ammo nerf, so was it necessary in the first place? I'd rather see focus on fixing the other laser weapons. 7) Regardless if you got them for free, nerfing them so heavily makes money feel wasted and that's bad business practice. 8) Crossbow is a disaster. If it ain't broke don't fix it. 10) The ricochet change cause the guns to kill players far away from the target, real guns don't work like that. AKA LAZY. 11) The only reason fire damage kept getting buffed, was because it wasn't working and the devs didn't even realize it was bugged until way later. Same with the Railgun bug. 12) Not a fix, it wasn't intended but worked better. That's like making a better mashed potatoes by using more butter and then deciding to make it shitty again with less butter. 13) Killing chargers with primaries is INSANELY hard to do, in fact, the Eruptor got nerfed because it could one-shot them, so maybe we don't want that or those weapons will get nerfed too. Bots are better because other ordinance weapons work beside just spamming rockets. 14) If the change was nothing, why change it in the first place? Stop riding the balance team's dick, maybe this guy is wrong about some things, but if tomorrow you reverted EVERY nerf to primaries and ordinance weapons the game would be in a better state. @@Akantorz Ok so, I will answer only to the stuff I don't agree on: 2) It's not op, but it's viable, that's why they nerfed it. Before everyone was using it, after the nerf + buffs to other weapons we have more viable weapons. As I said, in the video he is using the incendiary breaker. 3) I see nothing passive-aggressive there. They stated the leg meta is not going to change, they left it there and lowered the head hp, what more do you want? In fact, when I use the auto cannon I still target the back of the legs. 5) It's not hot garbage, a lot of people still use it. The fact it can destroy holes etc. gives it the chance to open load outs to different grenades and support weapons, like machine guns. EDIT: I forgot, when the shrapnel was removed they increased the explosive dmg to compensate. 6) The sickle was too ammo efficient, rn you gotta at least pay a little bit of attention to your magazines, before it was basically unlimited even if you overcharged the coils under pressure. 7) Again, nerfs and buffs are going to happen regardless if it's paid content or not. If you buy a game and something gets nerfed are you going to complain? 9) Patrols got fixed because before, in solo for example, you'll get 1/6 of patrols instead of 1/4. By rolling the fix out they bugged something and now they always spawn as if in a 4 men group even if you are solo. Once it's fixed we are good. 10) The charger kills has nothing to do with the shrapnel being removed, as they stated in the patch notes, you are speculating here. 11) No, they knew about the bug. It's a know bug for weeks now, the buff has nothing to do with it. In fact, they buffed the dmg, then fixed the issue and left the fire damage buff standing (except for some enemies, so it goes in our favor). The railgun is the same, they nerfed the gun because having a gun that can kill everything with the backpack slot open is just crazy, then fixed the ps5 bug. After some times they buffed it a little bit because It was underperforming. 12) point 9 13) Killing chargers with primaries is not hard at all, people do that with the incendiary breaker, scorcher, jar etc all the time. It's so easy that people rather do that then waste support weapon's ammo. 14) For the same reason they nerfed other guns. Because the Quasar was too good, now it's just really really good, but not so much that other stuff is just useless in comparison. With a 13 secs recharge on the quasar you could shoot 4 times in a minute, now you can shoot 3. In the same minute you have 2 EAT uses, which does the same thing. As you can see, quasar is still on top, but less. Before everyone was using it, now I see more EAT, recoiless rifles and auto cannons. Not to mention many people call a second quasar when they can so that they can cycle between the two, because the coil cools down when on the ground, so it's super exploitable still. I'm not dick riding. As I said, some changes are bad, but this video is just full of wrong facts and weaponized informations to make it look like the game is unplayable and the devs hate the players. That's not true.

Regardless, since they removed it's blast radius and removed the shrapnel, IU don't see ANYONE run it. I mean, it can close bot fabs and bug holes, but so can the autocannon and Grenade pistol and GP is the best secondary at the moment. So yeah, it already was just good, but thanks to the nerfs, now it can't compete with other options. Also don't forget that it can't fire beyond a certain range, yet the Counter Sniper will fire way past it. 6) Yeah, but it was a crowd clearing weapon, not like it could kill things faster than main weapons, trying killing a hive commander with it and look how long it takes. Just because it's good at mobbing doesn't mean it is too much, just a nice safety barrier if your the last man standing. I don't mind the change though, but I would've been fine either way. Also they nerfed the Scythe ammo and it's definitely in a much worse spot. 7) This is a PvE game, not a fighting game, the need for nerfs is not that necessary, could they end up overbuffing something? Maybe, but then they can nerf, but nerfing the railgun because of a glitch that took them months to fix? That's fucked, the Railgun is still suffering since it fails to do the damage. Honestly I think the railgun just needs to go back to the drawing board, too much is wrong with that gun. (Safe mode, yet unsafe is ALWAYS better. Charging a railgun is not how railguns work. ETC...) 9) Even if that was the original spawn rate, they said that they are reverting it to before the changes, not just fixing the spawns. When you have more than 1 person, things get exponentially easier. Remember, the only thing that gets harder with more players is the amount of gunships. (1 for 1-3 players, 2 for 4 players.) 11) Same with the patrol rates, even though their buffs led to unintended results, does not mean they wanted damage to be this high, but possibly changed their mind due to seeing how little fire is used on bots side. Which, if that is the case, thank GOD. 13) No, people can, but most people would rather just quickly swap to the Qeuso cannon and rip the charger apart and then go back to killing smaller mobs. Yeah, you can use those guns, but remember, even they have ammo limits and during the kill 2 mil bug order, even I could run out of ammo if I ended up alone killing bugs due to patrols and bug breaches. 14) The only reason people use the Queso Cannon (Yes I know it's Quasar, but Qeuso is funny) is because it's the easiest rocket like weapon to use. All other rockets have very limited ammo and having the slowest reloads while requiring you to sit still. Do you know when I stop seeing queso? When doing that new mission where the rockets send out essential items into space via rocket and we defend the generators. People use: EATS, recoiless, Autocannon, etc. Nobody uses Qeuso because they can mag dump rockets into big enemies. Once Rockets are buffed, or you can start killing Chargers/Bile titans with AMR, Autocannon, and Laser like bot side, you'll see the qeuso really drop off. I will say that you might not be dick-riding, but you are much less informed that the Video Creator. Just watch some of OhDoughs videos and you'll see, ask me if you want some recommendations.

If you think the balance changes are fine, that's on you, but I also provided links, you just reposted arguments. VC said that if people were kicking for meta before, an even stricter meta will cause more kicks which is true. Furthermore the balance changes are definitely making the game much worse as people are leaving, the steam numbers show and they are choosing to mention that if nerfs are walked back they would return, this is very common on the steam forums. He showed nerfs, were there buffs, yeah, but the entire point of video was to show how non-sensical the nerfs were, not show that only nerfs were happening. Furthermore, the only significant buffs this game has had were to fixing issues the game created: fire damage bug, DMRs being the worst weapons (now assault rifles), Weakening the charger's head for easy rocket kills, making gunships and Factory walkers killable with medium pen weapons, fixing reload speed (Adding speed loader to Revolver), etc. So yeah, there has been buffs, but if anything, they have brought everything to a meh level instead of being great, and thus have put spotlights on issues that would have gone unnoticed: Why is a rocket propelled round (See Gyrojet) bolt-action? Why do Assault Rifles have poor structure damage? (Not to be confused with damage, Eravin made a video on this, check it out: ua-cam.com/video/b3V5CpVPMJE/v-deo.html). Damage drop-off starting the moment the bullet leaves the gun, high pierce weapons somehow having insane structure damage (quite the opposite in real life), the dev is the same balance dev that destroyed Hello Neighbor 2, guns not having consistent recoil patterns, internal testing not being done despite the fact that youtubers can find all the new bugs in less than a day, bugs that still persist since day one (AMR scope STILL misaligned), etc, etc, etc.... Dude I could go on, but this balance team has ignored that making the player base angry while these issues persist make it impossible to ignore them and now the bugfix team is getting swamped because they just couldn't keep it the fuck together and just let players have fun. I mean for FUCK'S SAKE, THE LEAD BALANCE DEV HIMSELF CLAIMED THE POLAR PATRIOTS WEAPONS WERE GOOD AND THE ONLY GOOD GUNS FROM THAT WAS THE PUMMELER AND THE PISTOL, EVERYTHING ELSE IS A COMPLETE SIDEGRADE OR DOWNGRADE. I mean shit, even the CEO is stepping down to CFO so he can fix the game. The balancing is so FUCKED the CEO himself has to do it. I was praying they would take the DRG road and buff guns that were weak to make them more viable and only need something if it was absolutely insanely broken to a point of ridiculousness. But they didn't. They took that worst possible route of nerfing anything good.

They think we're only complaining about fun, because some elite helldivers are clearing 9s no problem. Great for you. A lot of people are FAILING missions because the game is too hard.
Honestly I’m annoyed every time one of the weapons I use is nerfed, but in the days after I haven’t more fun because I have to come up with new strategies and so on. And honestly if you have a team of 4 half decent players even on difficulty 9 is manageable, I would even wish for mode 10,11,12 because they get easy even with the nerfs. The nerfs are annoying, yes. But I think if every weapon is buffed and everyone can play helldives, the game would be very interesting and fun for one week max and then everyone would get bored and stop playing the game. And just a reminder: if you want an easy game, difficulty 2 or 3 is named easy, if you want a difficult game, that’s like 5 or 6, they’re names are difficult and very difficult for a reason.
The tripple Eruptor nerf was what did it for me... loved this game but the fun is gone. 200 hours in and I had enought supercredits but even so I purchuased the warbond with money to show my suport, then they do this to it....yeah I am done.

I think most people exaggerate the extent to which there are nerfs. The nerfs to the eruptor, the crossbow, and the slugger were kind of rough. But there are still a ton of really strong guns. The breaker and the sickle are still A tier. The breaker incendiary, the Blitzer, the scorcher, the plasma punisher, the dominator, the digiligence counter sniper, and punisher all still feel really nice. When I load into a mission, I still feel spoiled for choices. There are more guns I enjoy shooting then I have time to use them all as much as I would like. I would definitely like to see some nerfs reverted. But it's not killing the game. If anything is killing the game, it's the spawn rates. As a solo player, the increased spawn rates are pretty rough. But I don't really think the nerfs matter too much

There is an interesting post in the HD2 Steam General Discussion forum called "For those of you wondering why balance is so out of whack" which explains that one person is responsible for balancing weapons.
The balancing was based on weapon popularity, also YT and TT videos celebrating a weapon (eg. Railgun, Arc Thrower, etc...).
He also ruined another game before cursing this one (Hello Neighbor 2).

I did not mind the Arc Thrower being nerfed for the range but the speed being nerfed kinda pissed me off. Alot of people couldnt even figure out how to shoot it fast so it was cool to have mastered that technique.
300hrs in the game. Agreed with everything you said. They are taking their time with this next patch. CEO has heard our complaints. This next patch is make or break. All my friends have stopped playing. If the next patch doesn't take the game towards fun, it's over. I got my money's worth, but it sad their balance team did so much damage to the game. As a comparison, Diablo 4 came out very mid, but as of season 4 is really fun now. Helldivers 2 came out really good but it's bad now. I hope AH can turn things around. I really do.

my issue with this game is :
1- why the hell divers without the ammo booster dive into planets with lower then full ammo stacked that booster is nonsense
2- why ARs don't have larger magazines drums if they fighting large amount of enemies which doesn't make sense
3- why stalwart machine gun is even a support weapon ?
4- why hunters have slow ability when most of the small spitting enemies exist
5- why spewers have more dmg then chargers they can one shoot you with the vomit
6 - why bile titans even the vomit don't touch you u still get the slow effect
7- why chargers and bile titan expose flesh still deflect light pen weapons it have armored organs?
8- why automatons have insane knock back effect even if the rocket didn't touch you
9- why devastator can snipe unlimited rocket
10 - why eagle stratagems are the only most effective ones
11- why very few weapon are the most effective in missions ( fire shotgun + Blitzer for bugs) (scorcher and plasma punsher for automatons)
12 - bringing any support weapon that cant deal with heavy armored enemies you basically fuked
13- why bugs W key is stuck no matter what
14- fleshy parts of bugs should take way take way more dmg then any parts of the body but it not considered a weak point? spewers take more dmg to the head witch have armor then the butt that have no armor which is bad design
15 - why sniper weapons even a thing ?
16- why anti material rifle is not for heavy armored enemies?
17 -why purifier do same dmg as plasma punisher but stuiped long charge time
18- why not make a purifier have 2 mod of firing 1- semi firing do 200 dmg with no explosive 2- charging mode do 300 with explosive
19 -why the heavy machine gun have less ammo when the modle looks like it should have 200 per reload
20- why machine gun reload make you crouch instead make it able to move while reloading
21 - why air busrt is even a thing? make it explode on impact only or u chose to detenat it
22- why smgs do more dmg and slower fire rate then ARs? just make smg faster with same dmg and buff ARs dmg by duble
Honestly, the Nerf of the Sickle from 6 to just 3 Mags (Heatsinks) isn't that terrible. I think it is the only gun that I have yet to shot dry.😂
But the other nerfs for ammo, yeah there where not really necessary.

I like how devs characterized railgun gameplay as brain-dead and then just add quasar cannon. With railgun it was one guy strip armor from charger leg and after that other guy shoot this leg to kill it while railgun guy is already shooting next charger. We had some kind of teamplay between players. With quasar you just shoot charger to the head, thats all. Yeah, this is definitely way more sophisticated than our brain-dead way to play.
What AH is doing is just making the game tedious to play while offering very little enjoyment out of it. There's really a fine line between making a game challenging and tedious and it seems like AH still hasn't found where they want to be yet.
Not even just the nerfs, the general lack of giving a shit about their community and game state is what made me stop playing.
My friends and I have uninstalled this game because the devs care more about making the game an absolute frustrating slog to play than to make it fun. Everything weapon or strat that sounds or looks cool is an utter disappointment. Every bug or glitch that frustrates a diver never gets addressed. I've made a long list. Warbonds are all shit and a waste of money. The devs have been sniffing their own farts and think they know how you should enjoy the game.

Nah I get the Railgun nerf, that gun was not fun nor balanced. But Breaker was peek and other weapons should have used that as a base model for dmg and efficiency. The Eruptor was meh but fun and it got wrecked, the crossbow was not even used and wrecked to the ground. Sycle is fine, it's energy but rly having to aim perfectly all the time at bots is bloody annoying. Like putting thread through a needle, not fun (Eustache moment when I aim at the damn charger eye or devastators tiny head). And then bile titans have barely an apparent weakspot bcz mouth doesn't seem to do as much, Stryder is also a beast but in defense mission it blows ur objective from miles. I am good but rly most weapons can't shine no more and not all want to squint at this game when fighting bots
I could go on a rant or some shit but at this point this game is dead to me and my friends, if it gets fixed? awesome, we'll probably check on it next year, if not? Oh well, we dont play it anymore anyway.

Bro, this is embarrassing. They do make the bad weapons good. The nerfs are fine. You shouldn't be able to solo helldive with 1 gun. The ammo capacity was balanced with more mags returned on resupply.
Enemy shots can glance off player armor
You can still use guns that get nerfed. Railgun is still really powerful. You just need to use it on unsafe mode for the heavy armor targets. When I saw the bullet guard dog got nerfed I was thinking "isn't that one garbage already?" So I tried it out and it's awesome. My friends were running the ballistic sheild before it got its massive buff because it's good. Personally, when quasar cannon first came out I was saying that it pretty much removed any reason to bring the recoilless, now that it's nerfed I do think the nerf was a bit too much but an in between would be perfect. If your playstyle revolves around using only the best stuff because it makes the game easy then I don't feel bad for you.
You are just plain wrong. The railgun was the only viable option at the time for helldive. Apart from stealth it was the only way to clear helldive missions well. They absolutely should have just buffed other options. Case and point is DRG. They never need anything unless it's so busted that it makes the game easy, which cannot be said about the railgun. It made helldive *playable* not easy. Instead in DRG, they buff underperforming overclocks and weapons.
I knew this was coming too. I literally told my friend if they need the railgun this games balance department is going down the complete wrong path. Never letting metal develope and allowing players to build their own play style.

- They nerfed a lot of stuff, yet they buffed a ton as well.
- The breaker Is still great. The railgun was too strong before, a gun that doesn't require a backpack and allows you to run the shield can't be that powerful. Since the nerf people started playing more stuff, making the load outs a lot more diversified.
- "Tell them they shouldn't play that way" while showing the post from the devs saying they are doing nothing to counter the "leg meta" is funny because you are countering your own point...
- Planet hazards do not target the player only
- The melee works, it's just not the focal point of the game. As you said: it's a shooting game, melee is not important.
- The Eruptor is still good, they should give the shrapnel back, the mag size is not bad atm, it was too much back then.
- The sickle has infinite ammo if you don't overheat, 6 mags was crazy. I think 3 is too much, maybe 4 like the scythe would have been better but ultimately doesn't change that much.
- The warbond thing... just because the war bonds are bonus stuff, that doesn't mean they can't rebalance them. I mean, you pay for the game, but nerfs and buffs are expected. Actually, the war bonds are not really "bought" if you use super credits.
- I agree the crossbow was bad and stayed bad, imo they don't know what they want from the weapon.
- The patrols where bugged, so they did not buff the enemies, they fixed the game... Why are you not showing the whole text?
- On the enemy numbers, once again, show everything. They changed the "enemy distribution", which means = same number of enemies, more of a certain type.
- The melee is dogshit because this Is a shooting game, the CEO said it is an interesting idea but it's not something they want to do rn, maybe in the future.
- First of all, armor is not that complicated, the CEO talked about it on twitter, but if you play the game for a little bit you understand what enemy types your weapons can damage. They fixed the ricochet, it doesn't mean you are gonna get hit all the damn time. Seems to me you can't read or you just hate fixes at this point.
- The fire tornado one shot was an unintended consequence of the fire buff, which has been reverted, just as the hulk's flamethrower one shot. Oh, you skipped the "fire buff" thing, you know, the thing you were asking about. They increased all the fire damage helldivers do by only 50%, lets not talk about that tho.
- You show the "solo player patrol spawn increase" post as if it is something different to what you showed before, and once again, it's a fix.
- You can kill a charger with your basic guns, you just need to hit the butt. The only bug you can't kill with a primary is the bile titan, you can still damage it a lot tho.
- The quasar still one shots with a good hit, as it should be. They increased the cooldown form 13 secs to 18, which is still nothing since it can kill stuff that otherwise requires stratagems with 3 mins of cooldown... Just to give you an example, the quasar does the same thing an EAT does. The EAT has two shots with 1 min cd, the quasar can hit 3 times in the same time, even after the nerf.
You either did not read the full posts of balances arrowhead did, or picked and chose what you wanted to make a bait video that farms the hate. Is the game perfect? Absolutely not. Is the balancing perfect? Nope, but it's not as bad as you portrayed it to be.
You skipped the fact that almost every weapon got a damage increase in the last patches, the weapon you are using in the video (fire breaker) is one of the best primaries for bug missions, and is just the breaker with fire damage. The rover you are using got a damage nerf so it doesn't one shot helldivers, yet basically does the same damage to enemies. The flamethrower was the worst weapon and now shreds bugs like it's nothing. Stun grenades and fire grenades are beasts. The grenade pistol has opened up many different load outs. I could go on, but I think I made my point. I could understand not being happy with the nerfs, but showing posts in a misleading way is not ok.
I got this:
1) Yes, any weapon that got buffed was in a complete dogshit state, remember where the Counter Sniper was before 2 buff patches?
2) If the breaker isn't OP, why did they nerf it in the first place? Lazy.
3) The post clearly shows they meant for players to kill the Chargers via headshots, yet it was faster to kill them via the leg and they passive-aggressively stated this should change.
4) I think more he's just mad that swords aren't in the game yet, but yeah definitely his weakest point.
5) Eruptor is hot garbage right now, if it couldn't close bug holes and bot fabs it would be a useless gun, it's just a worse version of the Jar.
6) Sickle didn't change much from the ammo nerf, so was it necessary in the first place? I'd rather see focus on fixing the other laser weapons.
7) Regardless if you got them for free, nerfing them so heavily makes money feel wasted and that's bad business practice.
8) Crossbow is a disaster. They need to take that weapon back to the drawing board.
9) Patrols didn't get fixed, they made ALL player counts have the same patrol rate as 4 players. ua-cam.com/video/1Fu6ddHejh0/v-deo.html explains patrols and the massive fuckup that was this patch. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
10) The ricochet change cause the guns to kill players far away from the target, real guns don't work like that. This change was clearly made to get people to want the shrapnel removed instead of fixing the health of the charger against shrapnel because it was probably harder to balance. AKA LAZY.
11) The only reason fire damage kept getting buffed, was because it wasn't working and the devs didn't even realize it was bugged until way later. Same with the Railgun bug.
12) Not a fix, it wasn't intended but worked better. That's like making a better mashed potatoes by using more butter and then deciding to make it shitty again with less butter.
13) Killing chargers with primaries is INSANELY hard to do, in fact, the Eruptor got nerfed because it could one-shot them, so maybe we don't want that or those weapons will get nerfed too. Bots are better because other ordinance weapons work beside just spamming rockets.
14) If the change was nothing, why change it in the first place?
Stop riding the balance team's dick, maybe this guy is wrong about some things, but if tomorrow you reverted EVERY nerf to primaries and ordinance weapons the game would be in a better state. This balance team sucks ass.

2) It's not op, but it's viable, that's why they nerfed it. Before everyone was using it, after the nerf + buffs to other weapons we have more viable weapons. As I said, in the video he is using the incendiary breaker.
3) I see nothing passive-aggressive there. They stated the leg meta is not going to change, they left it there and lowered the head hp, what more do you want? In fact, when I use the auto cannon I still target the back of the legs.
5) It's not hot garbage, a lot of people still use it. The fact it can destroy holes etc. gives it the chance to open load outs to different grenades and support weapons, like machine guns. EDIT: I forgot, when the shrapnel was removed they increased the explosive dmg to compensate.
6) The sickle was too ammo efficient, rn you gotta at least pay a little bit of attention to your magazines, before it was basically unlimited even if you overcharged the coils under pressure.
7) Again, nerfs and buffs are going to happen regardless if it's paid content or not. If you buy a game and something gets nerfed are you going to complain?
9) Patrols got fixed because before, in solo for example, you'll get 1/6 of patrols instead of 1/4. By rolling the fix out they bugged something and now they always spawn as if in a 4 men group even if you are solo. Once it's fixed we are good.
10) The charger kills has nothing to do with the shrapnel being removed, as they stated in the patch notes, you are speculating here.
11) No, they knew about the bug. It's a know bug for weeks now, the buff has nothing to do with it. In fact, they buffed the dmg, then fixed the issue and left the fire damage buff standing (except for some enemies, so it goes in our favor). The railgun is the same, they nerfed the gun because having a gun that can kill everything with the backpack slot open is just crazy, then fixed the ps5 bug. After some times they buffed it a little bit because It was underperforming.

14) For the same reason they nerfed other guns. Because the Quasar was too good, now it's just really really good, but not so much that other stuff is just useless in comparison. With a 13 secs recharge on the quasar you could shoot 4 times in a minute, now you can shoot 3. In the same minute you have 2 EAT uses, which does the same thing. As you can see, quasar is still on top, but less. Before everyone was using it, now I see more EAT, recoiless rifles and auto cannons. Not to mention many people call a second quasar when they can so that they can cycle between the two, because the coil cools down when on the ground, so it's super exploitable still.
I'm not dick riding. As I said, some changes are bad, but this video is just full of wrong facts and weaponized informations to make it look like the game is unplayable and the devs hate the players. That's not true.

2) Even still, just because people are using it doesn't mean it needs a nerf. remember, people were even using it on the automaton side, nobody uses the incendiary breaker on the bot side, so if it does get nerfed it will very much hurt that weapon as it's used for only one side of the war.

Despite this, there are TONS of info not explained by the game that I had to learn and I only just figured some things out after 300 HOURS OF PLAYING THE FUCKING GAME!!!! How the hell can new players even learn this shit? If your curious about those points do let me know though, might make a video about it.
5) The shrapnel was actually a huge chunk of the damage contrary to what they said. Regardless, since they removed it's blast radius and removed the shrapnel, IU don't see ANYONE run it. I mean, it can close bot fabs and bug holes, but so can the autocannon and Grenade pistol and GP is the best secondary at the moment. So yeah, it already was just good, but thanks to the nerfs, now it can't compete with other options. Also don't forget that it can't fire beyond a certain range, yet the Counter Sniper will fire way past it.
6) Yeah, but it was a crowd clearing weapon, not like it could kill things faster than main weapons, trying killing a hive commander with it and look how long it takes. Just because it's good at mobbing doesn't mean it is too much, just a nice safety barrier if your the last man standing. I don't mind the change though, but I would've been fine either way. Also they nerfed the Scythe ammo and it's definitely in a much worse spot.
7) This is a PvE game, not a fighting game, the need for nerfs is not that necessary, could they end up overbuffing something? Maybe, but then they can nerf, but nerfing the railgun because of a glitch that took them months to fix? That's fucked, the Railgun is still suffering since it fails to do the damage. Honestly I think the railgun just needs to go back to the drawing board, too much is wrong with that gun. (Safe mode, yet unsafe is ALWAYS better. Charging a railgun is not how railguns work. ETC...)
9) Even if that was the original spawn rate, they said that they are reverting it to before the changes, not just fixing the spawns. When you have more than 1 person, things get exponentially easier. Remember, the only thing that gets harder with more players is the amount of gunships. (1 for 1-3 players, 2 for 4 players.)
11) Same with the patrol rates, even though their buffs led to unintended results, does not mean they wanted damage to be this high, but possibly changed their mind due to seeing how little fire is used on bots side. Which, if that is the case, thank GOD.
13) No, people can, but most people would rather just quickly swap to the Qeuso cannon and rip the charger apart and then go back to killing smaller mobs. Yeah, you can use those guns, but remember, even they have ammo limits and during the kill 2 mil bug order, even I could run out of ammo if I ended up alone killing bugs due to patrols and bug breaches.
14) The only reason people use the Queso Cannon (Yes I know it's Quasar, but Qeuso is funny) is because it's the easiest rocket like weapon to use. All other rockets have very limited ammo and having the slowest reloads while requiring you to sit still. Do you know when I stop seeing queso? When doing that new mission where the rockets send out essential items into space via rocket and we defend the generators. People use: EATS, recoiless, Autocannon, etc. Nobody uses Qeuso because they can mag dump rockets into big enemies. Once Rockets are buffed, or you can start killing Chargers/Bile titans with AMR, Autocannon, and Laser like bot side, you'll see the qeuso really drop off.
I will say that you might not be dick-riding, but you are much less informed that the Video Creator. Just watch some of OhDoughs videos and you'll see, ask me if you want some recommendations.

The problem here is you are not listening to the VC. If you think the balance changes are fine, that's on you, but I also provided links, you just reposted arguments. VC said that if people were kicking for meta before, an even stricter meta will cause more kicks which is true.
Furthermore the balance changes are definitely making the game much worse as people are leaving, the steam numbers show and they are choosing to mention that if nerfs are walked back they would return, this is very common on the steam forums.
He showed nerfs, were there buffs, yeah, but the entire point of video was to show how non-sensical the nerfs were, not show that only nerfs were happening. Furthermore, the only significant buffs this game has had were to fixing issues the game created: fire damage bug, DMRs being the worst weapons (now assault rifles), Weakening the charger's head for easy rocket kills, making gunships and Factory walkers killable with medium pen weapons, fixing reload speed (Adding speed loader to Revolver), etc.
So yeah, there has been buffs, but if anything, they have brought everything to a meh level instead of being great, and thus have put spotlights on issues that would have gone unnoticed: Why is a rocket propelled round (See Gyrojet) bolt-action? Why do Assault Rifles have poor structure damage? (Not to be confused with damage, Eravin made a video on this, check it out: ua-cam.com/video/b3V5CpVPMJE/v-deo.html).
Damage drop-off starting the moment the bullet leaves the gun, high pierce weapons somehow having insane structure damage (quite the opposite in real life), the dev is the same balance dev that destroyed Hello Neighbor 2, guns not having consistent recoil patterns, internal testing not being done despite the fact that youtubers can find all the new bugs in less than a day, bugs that still persist since day one (AMR scope STILL misaligned), etc, etc, etc....
Dude I could go on, but this balance team has ignored that making the player base angry while these issues persist make it impossible to ignore them and now the bugfix team is getting swamped because they just couldn't keep it the fuck together and just let players have fun. I mean for FUCK'S SAKE, THE LEAD BALANCE DEV HIMSELF CLAIMED THE POLAR PATRIOTS WEAPONS WERE GOOD AND THE ONLY GOOD GUNS FROM THAT WAS THE PUMMELER AND THE PISTOL, EVERYTHING ELSE IS A COMPLETE SIDEGRADE OR DOWNGRADE.

I can count on one hand weapons that have actually been buffed to where people will use them. I wanted to bring some of that up, but those crashes and connections problems varied wildly between everyone that I played and happen fairly rarely to myself so I wanted to focus on the nerfs since everyone experienced those and it was the main factor in why I quit the game - Cheers!
