Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time UA-camr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. On my channel you'll find lots of videos about drugstore makeup and drugstore dupes (those are my favorites to film!) but I also review high-end makeup as well. I absolutely love Moira! Their eyeshadow pallets are unbeatable. The shimmers are a mature and refined take on sparkle on the eyelids. Also, their eyeliner are creamy and lovely. Thankyou Jen for introducing us to this elegant brand. I live in Canada 🇨🇦 and the price point is very attainable (even with the exchange) and worth it💗

I had to come down and recommend Moira’s Complete Facial Primer/Pore Vanishing Primer. It really does a good job blurring pores and smoothing my skin - I love it!

I agree about the liquid shadows. They do feel almost menthol-y till they dry down. I assume it's the alcohol to help them dry down quickly, just like when a nurse uses an alcohol pad before drawing blood or giving a shot. That cool sensation. Yeah, I bought Moira Cosmetics BECAUSE OF YOU! And I love everything I got. It was my Black Friday splurge to myself. I got 2 eyeshadow palettes, an ombre blush, the color correct pressed powder, the liner, (because I agree, brush tips are the best, I absolutely HATE felt tips) 2 of the pot shimmers, and lip gloss. I love it all. Excellent recommendations 👌 👏 👍 🙌 😊
Yes! That's a good point it could definitely be the alcohol on the drydown!
@@JenPhelps I also agree that the same sensation is felt with other liquid shadows, from Stila to wet n wild. Same sensation.
Anna Dominguez: The "cooling sensation" is from rapid evaporation. It's the same principle as sweating, your body releases sweat so it will evaporate and cool your body. If you ever feel hot, rub your arms with water and let it evaporate.

I've saved this video for future reference! I finally made my first order during Black Friday to try some lucent creams, starshow shadows and an eye cream. I haven't used the eye cream yet, but will do so when I'm finished with my current one.

I discovered Moira Cosmetics a few months ago, been consistently buying their products, the Daze Liquid Shadows, the multichrome eyeliners & multi chrome single pan shades, their waterproof eyeshadow primers are absolutely amazing, the Glitter one is fabulous along with their Peptide & Vit E infused primer & their "Love Letters Palettes" have multi/duo chrome shades in them too! These 2 palettes are my absolute favorites, love the formula & their creamy, velvety texture, & of course their duo chromes in these palettes! Got that same brush eyeliner! Perfect for my eyes, my hooded eyes! Next in trying the blush, the powder & the cream! MOST of their products are fantastic💯💘🥰

Their waterproof eye primer IS EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!! Works better than anything I have tried. The best!
OMG, I can't believe you talked about the burning from liquid shadows. I first realized this when the Milani liquid shadows came out. It burned so bad, I thought it was just me, because I have sensitive skin. Then I realized it happened with all liquid shadows. I still stay away from liquids now, but I'm glad to see it wasn't my imagination!
I think it might be the alcohol in the formula that helps them dry down. It stings a little at first!
Tonybake62, you need to identify the ingredient you are allergic to.
As a redhead, I have reactions to everything and am over the moon I have never tried liquid shadows. I already have to use a prescription around my eyes for rosacia breakouts. That would be all I need.
Ahh I’ve gotta try some of those Moira products! 🙏🏼 Love your Vlogmas! I never miss one of your videos 😊. Oh and that slight burning sensation from the liquid eyeshadows, and other products, is from the ingredient phenoxyethanol. That product always does that to my eyes too. Any time it’s placed on the eyes, or even skin around the eyes, it stings for about 10 seconds. Just have to buy eye products without that ingredient to avoid that stinging feeling, if it’s too bad.

I bought Moira products because you recommend them, when I got them & saw Johnny Ross recommend, I got more. My smashbox Cali Bronze palette is dying si I've replaced it with the Moira Sculpt & Bronze. That colour correcting finishing powder is WOW, I love them

I'm glad to see people like you talking about Moira, I bought 2 of their palettes like 4 yrs ago. And recently just bought 2 of the palettes you showed, the pressed settings powder (which is my favorite powder I've EVER used and I'm 50, so I've tried so many!) and I also bought one of their face palettes (it was the Ready, Set, Go) it is a bronzer/contour palette with cool shades instead of warm, which for my super pale skin, I love!

I just bought it two weeks ago and love it better than my old favorite Milani. It holds your shadow in place for 12 hours, any more and I can’t attest to because I haven’t kept my eye makeup on that long with it. Holds glitter in place beautifully! Hope this helps, just my opinion! Less costly than Milani also🥰

You’ve done it again! I looked at the palettes and said to myself they were kind of boring but those swatches look really nice. Note I’ve got as a couple to my wish list. The only thing I’ve ordered so far is the showstopper eye shadow pots because Christmas busters my budget😂 but my birthdays coming up so I’ll probably try a few more things very soon.

I agree with you on the shadow sticks. I got the cream-colored one to hopefully use as a primer but it was just not creamy enough. Also a bonus with Moira, they are vegan. I've recently developed what I believe to be a sensitivity to carmine. It is so sad how many of my palettes I have to stop using because they have carmine. With a vegan brand, I just don't have to worry about it. When I did my full face video, I'd forgotten to get a blush, but I picked up one of the ombre blushes and I love it! And I was going to get Falling for You, but it's out of stock! Thank you for recommending this brand. I love it!
I think mine would be BH Cosmetics, ive liked every single thing ive tried from them. Cant say that for Colourpop, or Natasha Denona, or anything else ive tried this year. They had such great, fun color stories in their Say it collection. The palettes were super cute, and very affordable to boot. Ill definitively try Moira. The blushes and the shadows look great.

In addition to the beautiful items that you've recommended of which I've tried several and absolutely agree with you. I've also tried some of their skin care specifically their serums, the Rose face primer and the peptide cream in the jar. The actives are pretty much at the top of the list along with a lot of other ingredients that I understand what they are. I've fallen in love with the niacinamide serum. I tried both the peptide serum and the cream in a jar I like them both but prefer the cream in the jar. The rose face primer I truly enjoy. With that particular product a little goes a long way. I should say that my skin has traditionally been oily to combo but now at my age (51) it's more normal to combo leaning oily.
Many of the shadow palettes seem to be sold out on the site but are available on the store in Amazon, oddly. I got the green/bronze palette and one of the lighter peach ombré blushes. Thanks, Jen!
