Learn English Tenses: Present Simple or Present Continuous?

- “I work” or “I am working”? In this easy English lesson, you will learn the difference between the PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE (“I work”) and the PRESENT CONTINUOUS (PROGRESSIVE) TENSE (“I am working”). Many students get confused, because these two tenses do not exist in all languages. Here, we’ll review when to use each tense, how to form it, and what common mistakes to avoid. We’ll do practice exercises together, so you can understand the differences clearly. Then, you can check what you’ve learned by taking the review quiz on engVid at www.engvid.com/present-simple... . When you’re ready, move on to the past simple tense, the next class in my engVid series on English verb tenses: • Learn English Tenses: ... Keep taking your English to a higher level, step by step!

Thank you mam
I am from India .
Thanks teacher
You make it simple. Thank you.
Mam, "have" is a stative verb, we don't use it on a sentence which is present continuous. But at the end of this video, you gave an example "I am having breakfast", could you please give more clarification on that.
Rebecca is one of the best English teachers I have ever come across. Her accent ,for a teacher, is second to none - it's so sweet and clear. The pace she adopts is what learners really need. She looks decent too. Moreover, her body language ( posture, eye contact, facial expressions and gestures) is perfect. I also find her voice quite appealing and engaging.
Being a teacher of English myself, I strongly advice
learners of English to subscribe and commit to her lessons.
Rebecca, you're a lovely teacher with an amazing hand writing.
Nice complement, but for the sake of English learning, "writing" is an uncountable noun aka mass noun aka measurable noun, as such "writing" cannot receive the indefinite articles "a" or "an" therefore "an amazing hand writing" is incorrect; the way to write that sentence would be "Rebecca, you're a lovely teacher with amazing handwriting.". And also, "hand writing" is not the same as "handwriting": "hand writing" is a construct for clausal subjects e.g. "A hand writing something is an ancient practice." whereas "handwriting" refers to one's particular method of writing on paper e.g. "His handwriting is very good.".
Other than those two things, you did well. Keep up the English learning!
@Soum Aya Who's typing about whether amazing is an adjective?
@Soum Aya What are you typing about? I am not a Wikipedia; I am a person.
I think the same 👏👏👏

Hi. Where does she teach English?
Your lesson is extremely comprehensive. I like your tone, body language and organizational skills. I have only one question: How can we remember the conditions of each tense to make proper use of each tense while written and verbal communication?
Have you seen German grammar? There are also cases and genders in it. English is like playing in a simple mode after German.
So what I was trying to say, don't be afraid of English 😆
if youd ever seen serbian gramer its much more complicated the righting is easy but the gramer not so much we have somthing called padezi.about your question i wold say that english is a lot of memoraisesion but after a while its mosly logic.i hope this helps you
