Any updates between Durgol vs Descal effectiveness... I am currently using Durgol on my wolf gourmet coffee maker... Just ubsure whats the best i want the machine to last a long time.
Thank you for the kind words. Although Dezcal made a larger difference in descaling, perhaps machine was not built up as bad before using the Durgol. Can't clean what isn't dirty. I am working on some tests to address this a little more scientifically.
@@thecoffeescoop9390 I tried Durgol & the Dezcal definitely cleaned better! Do you know what the factory time is from start until the water comes out? If not would you share what yours is at after u descale?
Based on my personal experience using citric acid for cleaning purposes ( which can be purchased as powder or liquid ) for cleaning kettles, pots, etc. Has anyone tried cleaning a Moccamaster with citric acid?
Dezcal is a citrus acid based product, as long as the ratio is right, i do not see a problem. I wrote Technivorm about this and their concern was with people using industrial strength cleaners, which might lead to damage.
So do you use the Durgol to descale your still instead? I have always been told that coffee tasted better made with water that was around 150ppm tds, so I never tried distilled water. But I should try now and find out.
I used the exact same Durgol in mine and it seemed to overheat the brewer. I think I'll try the Dezcal next.
Did you try the Dezcal? Any luck?
