To simplify it folks…. If you run heavy current through a toggle switch, it will eventually fail. A relay allows you higher current because the contacts in a relay are much bigger than a little switch.

What size of wire are for the on/off switch? I need more length since battery is located in back on a Can am x3 max

I don't understand why you cannot get a factory RAM switch in your normal switch panel and use it. It would look like it came with the truck that way.
