I love this little found family. I commend Rei for actually stepping out of his comfort zone when push comes to shove. The man barely had any idea about truly living but to see him at least try for the kid, it makes me somehow proud. And Kazuki's tragic past?? That's the stuff that would scar you for life. Pushed me to tears fr. I always felt like Kazuki have been holding back a lot because of the guilt after what happened to his wife and kid so to see him finally get into terms with it (special thanks to Karin, he really needed that pep talk) makes me really happy. Thank u guys for your reaction!! I'm so happy I stumbled upon your channel! If anything, it's you guys that I trust with the commentary on parenthood and kids! Kudos!
When Rei argued that he was helping with Miri, I think he actually did believe he was doing his best instead of being a smartass. From what we know of his past, he clearly has no idea how to be functional outside of assassin work. He knows that playing games with Miri and feeding her junk food makes her happy and it works for him so he doesn't see a problem with it until the massive wake-up call when he realized there was a whole other side to taking care of a kid.
Rei doesn’t even know how to look after himself fully he just has a routine he sticks to Sleep in bathtub, eat what he is given, workout.... repeat I feel like next ep will have more of Rei’s story! Well it should it has been a while since we saw anything
@@TheGenreVerse yep! Also sorry to bother. But that phrase, "Do you think Im a maid or something?" I KID YOU NOT. My parents literally use that same phrase everytime. They said like I dont remember a maid named Gretel living here. Me and my brother would not do something like not wash the dishes and ask when dinner ready and think our parents would do it, they would than say that phrase. I swear this anime actually knows how a parent does. But I became an adult and understood responsibility, and now I actually do the chores. Its so relatable, I think I show this anime to my parents and see what they think. By the way, so far out of everyone, you guys have been my favorite react UA-camrs. Especially for this anime.
So true about playing with the box. I remember my niece’s first or second birthday party (can’t remember which) - and probably Xmas too. All the adults spent money on presents. Such a waste. What was she most interested in? The wrapping paper and bubble wrap, of course. Hours of fun!
Yup... You can save a lot of money with kids if you realize how simplistic they are and that they grow so fast you should mostly buy used clothes for at least the first 6 years of life...
@@dajtoad1 Nothing wrong with that. We send our nephew Lucas' old stuff all the time. Lucas looks forward to sending his cousin his "cool" clothes lol. I mean, they are cool... My son has Dr. STONE and Gridman shirts!
6:36 - Are you ok? It looks like you were in pain and I wanted to know if you were okay. 6:45 - I try to say please and thank you as best as I can as well unless I am busy or forget. 8:22 - Hearing Kazuki ranting about all the work he does for Rei and Miri really reminds me of my mom although she also includes how the house is a mess or just not to her standards of being clean. 😥 12:50 - I think in Japan measuring a person’s temperature is in Celsius which according to conversion is 101.3 degrees Fahrenheit. 38.5 C = 101.3 F. 14:06 - I have to admit that I did not see that this is how Kazuki met his wife. I wonder if there could be more to explore in that part of the show. 🤔 Honestly I was struggling to find anything in animation that I could get interested again especially after all of the streaming services canceling animated shows to save money. I know this show is an Anime, but I am glad that I gave it a chance because I am enjoying how the show is going. In this episode we learned a lot about Kazuki’s past, but I think there could be more to it. Also seeing Kazuki snapped is really relatable and makes me appreciate my parents more. I am proud of Rei for trying to take care of Miri especially when she got sick, it shows that he does care about her. Out of all the reactions for this show, I like you guys the most especially when the show exhibit moments that relate to your own lives. Finally I have a random question, do you guys prefer watching the subbed version or the dubbed version of anime?
I have very strong sneezes... They do hurt and I have to restrain them a bit or risk tearing the palate of my mouth, something I have done before. As for sub v dub... It all depends. We generally watch older shows in dub unless someone tells us a good reason not to. New stuff we're too impatient for dubs. There are some REALLY good dubs like Dr. STONE, but then there are some not so hot ones like Sabikui Bisco... in our opinion at least. A lot of dubs from before the 2010s can be rough to listen to, especially stuff from the 90s. Thanks for chatting with us and for watching. I am glad you got in to this show as well, and we are humbled to be your favorite reactors for this series! -Kyle
Which branch/Country? I was in the US Army. Our son was a "goodbye" baby conceived about a week before my last trip to Afghanistan lol. Luckily I never deployed to a combat zone again after he was born, but she did have to care for him alone a few times while I did schooling (usually 6-8 weeks) a few times. -Kyle
Depends on the which part. I liked Ireland and Amsterdam the most in Europe. Germany had the disadvantage of me hating the Unit I was in... What states and countries have you been to to compare? -Kyle
@@TheGenreVerse Countries: Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Britain, Norway, Poland, Estonia, America. States: New York, Florida, California, Arizona, Washington and Montana PS: Amsterdam is the capital city of the Netherlands.
@@xaoz2362 Yes I am aware it is the capital of the Netherlands. I also know the difference between the Netherlands and Holland. However I have only driven to and from Amsterdam (to visit) and didn't visit anywhere else in the country. Unlike the weeks and months (and years) spent in other Euro countries. Forgive my simplification of things. Never made it to Norway or much of East Europe unfortunately. Been to every state you have (except Montana) plus another 30 or so. Didn't mean this to be a pissing contest, just a curiosity as to what you're comparing with. I had a lot of Soldiers make similar statements about European countries but they had never left their home state before being stationed in Germany. Everyone is entitled to think some place is better than others, but it's good to have actual references.
Have to say, although I enjoy this, Miri does grate a bit. She does seem to have volume up to maximum at all times. Anya has a much greater variety. Plus, of course, she has her hilarious inner monologue. I think this show is a bit more conventional - two people take in a stray kid out of fondness and good hearts. Loid cynically takes Anya in with no affection and no intention of keeping her after his mission. His inner monologue is all cold calculation. We only gradually see his actions conflicting with his inner monologue. My guess is that he’s not going to realise he’s fallen in love until the mission’s over (if that ever happens - we’re not finished yet).
Miri is much more realistic, but she can't read minds so... Kids are grating. I was, you were, my son is... Kids are unfiltered and unbalanced, and it's up to us (parents/adults) to teach them how to find balance and install a filter between brain and mouth. Being a parent is my most favorite thing ever. It's hard, grueling, painful, annoying, frightening... But it also gives you the greatest joy, greatest wonder, and greatest satisfaction. Seeing my son learn to be a member of society, learn to say "please and thank you" without being promoted, learn to tie his shoes... It's all sooooo amazing.
