Also got that top tube bag, bought it from Garda, Italy on my trip last spring. Like it a lot! Have not found optimal frame bag for the Canyon Grizl size L that works with two bottles still in their cages. Apidura 4.5 would be good if it were even 12 cm high and not have that 'dip' in the middle.
Nice bike, I have the same model bought a Canyon on a whim not knowing what to expect, absolutely love how it handles and I weigh 220LBS. I went tubeless on the DT Swiss wheels, going to be tearing up the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath trail this year! Nice review.
At first I was surprised that you didn't pack any raincoat at all. I then checked your Strava link and realized you were indeed cycling around the sunshine state of Florida. I am from Malaysia and the raincoat is a must have when going for a multi-day bike-packing! 😉
Have you put any helicopter tape, or ridewrap, on the frame where the bags straps are? Over time, especially with a gravel bike, dirt and sand can get stuck between the frame and straps and rather quickly wear away the paint (and if left unchecked damage a carbon frame).
Yes, I actually have RideWrap installed over all the most common wear areas of my bike. Thanks for the good input for others! I forgot to mention that in the video but definitely important 👍🏻
i'm planning exactly this kind of trip this summer. i only have a frame bag and a saddle pack, but i don't plan on taking any camera equipment either, so that checks out. i had been slowly making a list, but earplugs were not on it. good call. question tho: where are you going to put your flipflops? i assume you're not wearing bike shoes for the whole shindig. also where are your bike tools, extra tube, etc.? are they in that dark water bottle? and do you carry a bike lock with you?
Good questions, I probably should do a video next time about everything I carry with me, not just what is in my bags 😁 in this video, skip ahead to minute 14:33 and you can see how both of us strapped on our sandals to our bikes, we both did it a little differently. Flip flops are a must for after riding. ua-cam.com/video/R8XK928_WUU/v-deo.html We didn’t take a bike lock because we knew one of us would always be with the bikes or they would be inside where we were staying. Mike put tools on his bike, I only carried a small multi tool, which is attached to one of my water bottle cages. In the dark water bottle I kept gu’s, electrolyte tablets, and shamois butter.
Yes, I love that phone mount, it's so easy to use and looks super clean and sleek. I have the QuadLock Out Front Pro phone mount, here's a link you can check it out on amazon: amzn.to/33PeiP6 You could also get it directly from the QuadLock website
@@Pranav_m_Mistry I'll be doing a review of the phone mount soon. Be sure to subscribe to our channel so you don't miss that video! Thanks for watching!!!
Once again, excellent product review. Those bags do not look that big in the video until you start unpacking and see how much they really hold. My top tube pack would hold a 'Batman' style grappling hook. Make sure to use a stretchy rope or cord so I don't get yanked off the bike when I attach it to a passing car lol
Good question. I actually didn’t bring one on this trip. There were two of us and we knew where we were going/staying one of us could always stay with the bikes. That being said, I’m going on a trip in a few weeks and definitely bringing a lock on this trip. Know your surroundings and always be aware.
Thank you for this video. Very informative for a person who is just starting bikepacking adventure and needs to buy the first gear.
I’m glad it helped!

I have been looooving this bike too! It’s such a great bike for the price.

Nice..i confuse which one i go buy first frame bag or top tube bag?
I bought the top tube bag first for a few reasons… I like it for shorter day rides when I just need to take a few things but also it’s cheaper 😉
@@wolfpackadventures tq madam
You have a beautiful bike. I use bikepacking setup and it is also much more comfortable than panniers.
Thank you!!! I seriously love this bike, it’s been a great all around bike
Panniers are so 1999. Love the bike pack bags available these days!

Hi what widht of tires do you use?
Thx
Here’s the exact tire I used on this trip…and am still using! It’s been amazing a.co/d/fN6tTPS
Btw...what gopro do you use? Love how steady it is on your other vids.
We use a mix of the GoPro Hero 9: amzn.to/3fRXMQL and the DJI Pocket 2 4K Camera: amzn.to/3IDKxQo
Jennifer uses a slightly older GoPro Hero7 and it has great stabilization too
very nice information mam 🇮🇳
Thanks a lot

Hahahaha! That's a great idea, I always ask everyone I'm riding with to throw me a rope...no such luck yet.
What size frame is your Grizl?
I have a size small
Hi your video is super helpfull :) How tall are you? Im not sure which size to order...
I love your shirt. Go DBC
Haha thanks! Comfy shirt…unfortunately it didn’t help me win a dirt bike 🤣
Where’s your lock?

That’s a huge Garmin.
Are you thinking my phone is a garmin? The garmin really isn’t all that big, it sits nicely next to my phone and I can read it easily on rides.
🤣 Promo-SM!!!
What is that supposed to mean??
