Paddle Boarding on the Deschutes River
Переглядів 369Рік тому
It always seems like a good idea to go on a nice gentle paddle on the river after dirt biking the previous day, but SOMEONE forgot to check the whether. A storm was coming in, the winds were gusting, pushing us back upstream, white caps... it was an exhausting weekend to say the least! Forgive my lack of good recording of the craziness, if we weren't paddling 90% of the time, we weren't moving....
Bring Sally Up Squat Challenge | Paddleboard Edition
Переглядів 885Рік тому
Not your average day on the river! Why did we decided to do the Bring Sally Up challenge? Because apparently paddling down river in 20-30 mph winds that were pushing us back up river wasn't a good enough workout. After being on the river for around 2 hours, we finally came around a bend in the that gave us a break from the wind, just enough time to grab a quick bite to eat and hopefully not fal...
Mods On My New Bike! 2023 KTM 300 XC-W TPI

I bought my first ever brand new dirtbike!!! I have always bought used bikes, but when I saw this bike listed for $8,900 I couldn't pass it up. I knew they were blowing out prices on these because the 2024 KTM 300 xc-w TBI bikes would be coming out soon. But I also knew that a lot of the parts off my old 2020 Husqvarna TE300i would be able to swap over to the 2023 KTM 300 xcw TPI, including the...

First dirt bike ride of the year and man, it was a good one! Jenn got a purdy new bike this year and it was the perfect day to break it in. She switched from a 2020 Husqvarna TE300i to a 2023 KTM 300 xc-w and she doesn't regret the decision at all! We'll be posting another video soon with all the mods she did to the new bike, so keep an eye out for that one! It's been raining pretty consistentl...
$3000 Mt Bailey Poker Run | Better Lucky Than Good

We headed down to Diamond Lake Resort for Steph's first ever Poker Run. We learned that Steph does NOT know how to play poker, but she still came out in 3rd place at the end of the day and won a good chunk of change. Turns out once again it's better to be lucky than good! We rode to the first checkpoint and then, like a bunch of dogs chasing squirrels, got distracted by some drainage riding and...
How Do You Choose Your Line? | Tree Riding

No editing, just a quick gopro video from last week's epic trip to the Eastern Sierras during and after the last atmospheric river storm system. How do you choose your line when you're riding? Do you stay in others' track and pick the "easier" way? Or find any opportunity you can to find the more technical lines with higher consequences? Either way, keep your head up, look at LEAST 30-100 feet ...
ArcticFX Sled Wrap with Silver Flake | 2022 Polaris Khaos Matryx

In this video, Jenn throws away her old bumper and installs a B&M Fabrications EXO front bumper on her 2022 Polaris MATRYX Khaos Slash 165 snowmobile. The stock bumper is pretty useless for taking any kind of impact and this upgrade is perfect for all the technical tree riding we do around Central Oregon. The fit is perfect on this sled and the install wasn't too challenging. The new bumper is ...
First Time Using A Motowinch In The Snow

We got the opportunity to test out the Motowinch at Skyliners Ski Hill outside of Bend, Oregon. It was our first time trying the setup in the snow so there was a bit of trial and error. It was obviously a very small hill but this thing has a lot of potential to lap some fun terrain on the snowboards. A few weeks ago, my coworker sent out a group text message with a plan to meet up and ride Mount Bachelor before our 48 hour shift at work. I woke up at 3:45am, made some coffee, and drove through near white out conditions up to the mountain. You can definitely tell I woke up early looking at my face in the video! We left the parking lot at 5:05am and skinned up the hill to the top of Red Chair...

In this video, I break down the steps of a simple install of the DuraPro magnetic tether on my BRAND NEW (to me) 2022 Polaris Khaos Matryx Slash. Also got that top tube bag, bought it from Garda, Italy on my trip last spring. Like it a lot! Have not found optimal frame bag for the Canyon Grizl size L that works with two bottles still in their cages. Apidura 4.5 would be good if it were even 12 cm high and not have that 'dip' in the middle.

Any sled that runs at 170F+ has serious cooling system / engine design flaws, whether or not it's getting enough snow up into the rear to cool it down. It is great as a first beginners trail bike, but lacks power and traction when climbing uphill. I am located in Utah and we do a lot of rocky single tracks. I saw some comments from other riders complaining of excessive stalling on the WR250F as well as challenging to start the motor when hot. Did you experience any of those issues? How do you like the bike after a year? Thanks a bunch.

Your correct about turning your sled off when its hot, do not do that unless you plan on keeping it off for 10-15 minutes till its fully cooled. Lots of people turn it of on the trail then chuck a bunch of snow on the tunnel then start it up and giver, your giving your jugs and head a cold shot which is not good. Your piston is hot and you shoot a bunch of cold water through your jugs and head could shrink it enough to cause premature wear or worse If its hot and you have no place to chainsaw then pull over and quickly pack the top of your tunnel with snow while its still running and also put a bunch in your track then jump back on and go quickly to the next spot to do the same thing You should be sweating hard by the time you get into deep enough snow to let your track do its job of cooling the sled

    • @wolfpackadventures
      @wolfpackadventures Рік тому

With the new sleds not having the coolant flow thru the tunnel, I'm not sure how else to cool the sled other than chainsaw method?
