That is exactly the type of videos I need! To actually see what you're talking about (cadence, slack line, hookset) on a certain technique is key to people like me trying to learn new ways to catch feesh. Thank you!
Love these videbos reminds of the hook line rod relationship videos you did a while back they helped me understand how to setup a combo towards a specific technique
Great video bud! Definitely a step up from a lot of your vids in recent memory. A lot of work I’m sure but the polish on this video definitely got me fired up to finally try some walking baits that I keep sitting on when I’m out on the water!
Oh Debo, nobody teaches like you! OK well maybe Matt and Tim at Tactical Bassin, but nobody else has Mr Hands teaching you how to not knot badly, or not backlash!!!
Hi Debo! First of all, Thank You for all of the great content. I've been going back and watching / rewatching a ton of your videos. In this particular video you asked people to comment if they wanted more educational / how-to videos. YES PLEASE! You do a better job of explaining things than anyone else I've found on UA-cam and typically better than the pros, too. Keep up the great work. Please teach me more!!
So glad I found this video today before placing my Tackle Warehouse order. Great info on the colors and technique for top water walking baits. Fish on!
Love the "how to" viDEBOs. It was your channel & Flukemaster that I leaned heavily on two years ago when I got back into fishing after about 15 years away. Very thankful for you guys, and others, for putting out your content to help people learn techniques, gear, maintenance, etc.
A top water walker has been one of my most productive baits this year. I wouldn't have even considered throwing one if it weren't for your Monsterbass box. Great tip on cadence in deeper water. Ill definitely have to keep that in mind. I absolutely love these technique breakdowns. Keep up the great work fella!
Really enjoy the how to video. Like what you did with the voice overs and floating texts. Video seemed professionally done! Keep up the great work buddy!!! 👍🏻
Great video ! Definitely do more videos like this especially for us bank anglers. I have had no luck at all with top water and need all the tips and advice I can get
I live here in the middle of Nebraska and find your videos very helpful. The waters there are similar, I lived in Des Moines for about a 2 years. Yes I did do a lot of feeshin' back in the 90's when I lived there. Love your videos, Go Hawkeyes!
Great video!!! I would like to see more videos like this type, tutorial. In this video you really broke it down well, all of the details. I want you to know that I enjoyed watching this video and I have learned some things once again. Thanks 👍🎣
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, even though I've already learned all this through trial and error, mostly error, it is nice to watch these in depth videos. I look forward to more of these in the future.
Love the explanation videos and this one was perfect because I’m not good with it and am going out tomorrow to try and throw it.Great video as always!!
I havent watched your videos in awhile and man the editing game got strong. Good job. I've tried to do those pop up messages and know how much work it is.
Thanks so much! You are a good teacher. This was helpful to get me set up to properly fish topwater baits. Slowly working my way through different baits to catch fish while watching your videos: swim jig, topwater popper, shakey head, ned rig, spinner bait, live worms and bobber (have you done this?), crankbait, Texas rigged worm/creature, and now hopefully a topwater bait like the sexy dawg!
Yes. Absolutely do more vids like this. 👍🏼 In this one you pointed out that you do not tie directly, but always use a split ring. Cool. What is the reason for this? Does that improve the walking action? Or are there other reasons? Thanks.
I really appreciate this kind of videos. The comparison with drumsticks was a highlight! It's so hard as a newbie to understand, how to move rods and lures... Everyone nows, how to drum! I heard so many times, if I use a BC, I have to swing it like a tennis racket. WhoTF is used to play tennis in the first place?!? The average angler isn't. That's for sure! For reasons like that I love your videos. You have a great way to find words for teaching noobs like me. 🙂 Problem is, as a beginner you has to learn all of it at once, on a propper level. If you don't, you're not gonna catch anything. Therefor you don't learn anything about right and wrong. You can do everything right and one detail wrong and have no succes at all, never knowing, what was the reason for failing the whole time... :oP Thx a lot!
I’ve caught more 5 plus pounders on a one knocker spook then I have on any other lure. Walking baits and topwater in general are my favorite way to catch them with the Chatterbait a close second. It’s really easy to walk the bait. The hardest part for me when I was learning was learning how to pick up the slack while walking it. I used to just walk it forward as far as I could, pick up all the slack line and repeat lol. Still got bites doing that, but much better results picking up the slack as you walk it. I like to experiment with different cadences( fast short twitches, slow wide glides, etc.) until I find what they want that day and then stick with that.
I liked and benefitted from this video and format. I really enjoy throwing walking baits and they have been very productive for me. My favorite is the Sexy Dawg Jr in Sexy Shad Chrome. Actually, I got a hook from one embedded in my finger that had to be removed at the emergency room. I still use the bait!
Walking bait strikes are so fun! I picked up a Berkley Cane Walker this past spring and have had some success on it, though the middle hook busted off 1/3 points kinda quickly :(
Dig this video my fishing lives and dies by the top water bite. I was taught years ago ( 1970s ) how to fish top water and never Looked back. It’s is such a important technique (top water ) that ever angler should have some skill fishing with them. Your right about the Yo Zuri walking baits great back for the $$ I do run the KVDs and Heddons too. Some of my Heddons are 40 plus years old. Color is important , but I’m not a Bone guy. I do much better with White . I dig your vids when your just being Debo and you come across well to the beginners in Bassing. FYI .. your right about the top water rods.
I love the baseball cap you're wearing in this video. Where can I get one? Thank you for all the informative content. Your channel has really helped me learn to fish more successfully. Keep up the great work!
Sup debo, great video bro, I mostly have the MB walking baits, forget name, they were slamming them Sunday, brother even cought his PB 6lb 10oz, huge blowup, yes more like this👊. ty tc
Can you do Rod action versus Lure weight? I only have a couple Rods and it’s difficult to cast lighter Lures with the medium heavy I think or maybe it’s not the action. It just seems more whip in the tip makes casting a lot easier. No catches to report still.
@@Nick_Hunter2 it walks well (even for a a relatively new angler like me). I’d like to get more for next season. Starting to shift focus to steelhead now. 😁
That is exactly the type of videos I need! To actually see what you're talking about (cadence, slack line, hookset) on a certain technique is key to people like me trying to learn new ways to catch feesh. Thank you!
Mr. Debo I like the record scratch video pauses with commentary and pop up text boxes. Solid production!
I agree that added a nice Debo touch
Love these videbos reminds of the hook line rod relationship videos you did a while back they helped me understand how to setup a combo towards a specific technique
Great video Debo!! I really like how specific you were with everything, from the lures to the setup and how to fish, all of it was excellent

I absolutely 100% agree it takes Matt AND Tim to equal Debo lol..!!

Thanks for this Debo - I need to work on and step up my walking bait game
You and me both 🤦♂️ I slack in that area
Good video. You're a welcome addition to my regular list of fishing subs. Thanks for the information, learned a lot from you already!
I'm the Feeshin' Friend! What an honor.
Thanks for the tips on the walking baits!!
Fantastic video format, if you cover every technique with this style of video, I’d watch every single one. Great work Debo!
Yes I love the how-to with specific baits / techniques. Since I am new to fishing, I have everything to learn!
Absolutely love these types of videos!!! Debo you missed your calling in life. Shoulda been a teacher. Keep up the great work
Def enjoyed that video Debo! Thanks for some great tips! Looking to use these more.
Fishing techniques really helps an angler improve their performance out on the water. Always learning something from Debo. Thank you.
Really enjoy the how to video. Like what you did with the voice overs and floating texts. Video seemed professionally done! Keep up the great work buddy!!! 👍🏻
This was great. Love the way you approach the breakdown. Easy to follow… now I just need to get on the water and put some time in!
Another great viDebo production, and a terrific instructional video, as always! Love all your posts but especially the how-to…please keep it up!
Thanks for the vid ! I needed the answer to add a spilt ring to my walking bait or not . You the man Debo !
Yes more tips and techniques videos. Never stop learning, no matter your experience level.
Great how to and tips! I’ll definitely put that to work on the next outing.
More like this. Technique/combo stuff from the bank. Great stuff Devon
One of my biggest challenges is throwing a top water bait. I’m going to go give your tips a try. Thanks Debo.
Great video ! Definitely do more videos like this especially for us bank anglers. I have had no luck at all with top water and need all the tips and advice I can get
"The shizzle" color is my favorite for the sexy dawg. I also love that color for the ol' red eye shad when I'm small mouth fishing on the cedar

Silver spook jr was working for ‘em on the river in Iowa tonight! Smallies we’re super shallow, practically right up on shore.
Love your videos. This is what I'm looking for. Good ways to improve my fishing skills. Keep them coming.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, even though I've already learned all this through trial and error, mostly error, it is nice to watch these in depth videos. I look forward to more of these in the future.

Love these videos Debo love the Rod Reel Line Combination type video.
Thanks for taking the time to make a very through how to guide 👍👍
Love old school class with Debo.

Great tips Debo. One thing I like to do is to use 30lb braid with a short little mono leader of 15-17lb for spool type baits.
Any type of video you make I’m here for. Enjoy all of it!! 🎣🎣🔥🔥
Top water is such a fun bite, thanks for the tips!!!
Great video. I have learned so much from you and thank you. Still have A LOT to learn but my fishing game as improved due your videos
Great video. Debo is a awesome teacher.
Yes. Absolutely do more vids like this. 👍🏼
In this one you pointed out that you do not tie directly, but always use a split ring. Cool.
What is the reason for this?
Does that improve the walking action? Or are there other reasons?

Yes it makes the bait easier to walk

Thx a lot!
the River2sea pro tuned rover is my favorite topwater. They walk sooooo good and sound amazing
Love the instructional videos. Keep ‘em coming.
Pencil 100 is my go to. Little more pricey but pretty easy to walk and catches alot of fish at the right times.

This technique definitely takes practice. Watching videos like this help too. Thanks man. How about Randy doing a jig how to vid ? ✌🏻😎🎣
Good video, good information. Now do Drop Shot. Convince me to fish it more.
Well done Debo. Keep them coming.

Walking bait strikes are so fun! I picked up a Berkley Cane Walker this past spring and have had some success on it, though the middle hook busted off 1/3 points kinda quickly :(

That hat is sweet. What are the grips on that blue rod combo?
I love the dual pitch
Very very educational! Thank you!
Debo. Does co-polamar float? Really like th yo-zuri but wasn't sure if it floats of slow sinks?

That 13 fishing navigator has been a beast for pike mine is absolutely covered in teeth marks after this summer it walks so easy
Sup debo, great video bro, I mostly have the MB walking baits, forget name, they were slamming them Sunday, brother even cought his PB 6lb 10oz, huge blowup, yes more like this👊. ty tc
Thanks for the tips just getting into walking baits would usually use a larger popper
I started throwing the rover this year. So far I like it. It’s easy to walk and it gets bit.
The 6th Sense Dogma 100 has been my confidence bait when it comes to topwater.
Repping that guy skimpy, very nice, just picked up a couple vixens myself. Another great one is the evergreen showerblow
Any top water tips for up north? In New England days on average are winds of about 10mph and temp is 65 and drops with the sun
Great video, love these types of vids.I’d enjoy one on jerkbaits or neds.
I’m not gonna lie….the googan squad twitch rod makes walking the dog so easy.

In his Bass fishing for beginners playlist on his channel he has a ton of stuff that will help ya out.

Yes! This is gonna be good!
enjoyed it as usual man 🤜🤛
I have one called like a Texas dog or something like that, love using it. It also has a small cupped mouth to spit and it dives around like crazy
yes would love to learn more
Yo dude, youre a unit! Subbed.
KVD Sexy Dawg is one that I'm comfortable with. But watching this makes me wanna venture out and try different brands.
Only question i have what knot do you use
I threw the 6th Sense Dogma lots this summer. Caught me a good amount of bass this spring/summer.
Got one a couple months ago I need to try it!
@@Nick_Hunter2 it walks well (even for a a relatively new angler like me). I’d like to get more for next season. Starting to shift focus to steelhead now. 😁
