The saying Thank You for the jars sealing is the cutest thing I've ever heard. More people need to remember to be thankful for the little blessings in life.

A tip here from a Mexican 🇲🇽 for when you do get jalapeño or any other chile in your eye, is to rub your hair (or someone else’s hair) against your eye; the oil from the hair helps remove the heat from the eye! Trust me, it works!

Your salsa looks delicious 😋 you are so fortunate to have a husband that likes to help you in the kitchen. I miss having my husband to help me with the chores. We agreed before we got married that we would always share the housework since I worked full time. I was a teacher and needed to do lots of lesson planning and prep. at home. He worked on a computer all day and didn’t have to bring work home. I loved sharing the simple chores with him. The thing I miss most of all is he always brought me a cup of tea each night when we finished working and started to relax and unwind. Ahhh memories,

Have you tried the candle trick when cutting onions? A friend told me about this years ago and I had completely forgotten until you were talking about leaving the root end intact. What you do is you place a lighted candle next to your cutting board while you're cutting your onions and the flame is supposed to burn up the fumes that are released by the onion. I've done this a few times and it has always worked for me. The hardest part is remembering to grab a candle when you're focused on what you're cooking. lol

I've also heard putting the onion in the freezer before cutting helps reduce fumes

I loved the farm and garden , I learn so much from both of them cause I equally liked the garden & barn yard !! I had so many memories that I have past on , my grandma was a grand agriget every year! She always entered flowers, baking, preserves & house plants & canning .. she also entered knitting & crocheting as well.. peti point way back in her earlier days .. Doing things like this build & strengthens a person’s character ❤️😘❤️😘Bless🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Hi grandma, I joined your platform a while back when I was looking for a good bread recipe, what got me was the story about how your mom got you the bowls when you moved in to your college dorm, my husband was watching your bread video with me and he said "that's the bread we're going to like, they are bikers like us.
Just wanted to thank you, your bread has brought our family a little closer, my little boy and my husband love bread baking day, now is something we all do together ❤️👨‍👩‍👦🙌.
I will definitely try out the tomato sauce, it looks amazing.
Thanks again and from my family to yours, we sent you all many beautiful blessings ❤️🙏📿

This video brought back so many childhood memories. Every year around August we would go to my Grandparent's home in Salina, UT and bottle their garden. We made salsa, pickles, tomato juice and so many other things. Such a sweet sound when you heard that lid ping! It was a sign of hard work paying off. Thanks for the sweet reminder of an amazing childhood. Love you guys!

Yummmm.....I could smell the inside of your kitchen ALL THE WAY TO IDAHO! I bottled tomatoes all day on Saturday, and my kitchen was very fragrant too. Today I’m doing peaches. Peaches and tomatoes are my favorite things too prepare to can. Have had a little trouble this season finding jar lids in green store for sale. I wasn’t prepared like I should have been. A lot of family members are counting on the home canned goodness. They have taken it for granted for a lot of years. I can tell your family is the same. I have never put carrots in my salsa, but I like that idea. It is a great season of the year.....THE HARVEST!🍅🍅🍅🍅Thanks for sharing! Fun!

Brings back memories from my childhood. My parents had some land and we had a huge garden and we got all the neighborhood kids and they helped turn soil, plant, weed, water & harvest. We helped mom can tomatoes, pickles, jalapenos, etc. And all the neighbors got free fresh produce. If I lived closer to mom I would have her do some canning. 💕

Great recipe! I've been wanting to share with you that I made your choc chip cookies and snickerdoodles and they were both delicious. Since it's just my husband and I at home most of the time we try not to keep treats around! Too tempting!! So I made both recipes one day, dipped them in little balls and froze them on a cookie sheet. Then I put them in a bag with the instructions written on it. Now any time we want a little treat we can bake us a couple or when the kids and grandkids show up we have a quick treat for them! They bake beautiful and taste great. We make a couple kinda of salsa. One that has way to many hot peppers that only the brave of heart dare go there.
We grow a ton of tomatos every year. I love to garden. So we have home grown peppers , tomato's and onions.
We also make Jalapeno jelly. Its so good.
When cutting onions, it has to do with the sharpness of the knife more than any factor. The less you bruise the onion while cutting the less you cry. Always chop onions with a very sharp knife.
You can google your elevation for any city in the USA.
