Good job. Some things in zone 2 that seemed to make it easier is when it say to clean microwave and stove, I clean the toaster and coffee maker and wipe down any other small appliances at the same time. It doesn't take too much time and it is done. I am proud of you for sticking with this. I have done FlyLady for years and yes I have been lax about some things, but not the home blessing. This is when I go after the cobwebs while dusting through the house. Your house looks great, you look great and so relaxed. Sorry I missed your anniversary, so belated anniversary wishes. Another thing that's great about it is that if you have a season in life when you cannot do Zone Cleaning, just sticking to AM and PM routines can help keep a household running. I have learned that by going thru some health issues in the last couple of years. TFS!!!

I do okay on daily and weekly cleaning but the spring and fall cleaning I procrastinate on and then kill myself trying to get it done in a short period of time. I can't clean at 52 the way I did in my earlier days. ;) I think that breaking it up into smaller tasks is the way to go. Great video!
I hope you will do a full tutorial on cleaning the dishwasher. I hate to admit it, but other than the usual wiping off, I have never done a "deep clean" of the inside and wouldn't know where to start! We do run an empty load with vinegar every month, as our plumber suggested to keep from getting clogs. What else? Happy Mother's Day!

i have been reading the book and your inspiring me with your diary explaining the details of each zone I may or may not have told you i moved to another town in the last month a much smaller ( cozy) place with just one bedroom ive been de-cluttering a lot but im about to do the zones starting Tuesday im committed to going back to my old town on Mondays so my zones will be Tuesday to Saturday it is a lot smaller than your zone list but im disabled now and live in a custom block with all the support I need looking forward to your next zone

What I also add (not doing zones yet, this is just my whenever I get the energy to manage it!) in my kitchen is to clean the upper horizontal part of my upper cupboards, they get really grimey with the oil and dust. Plus I have a very high ceiling so there is space up there where I store some things. Also the light fixture, and the cobwebs on the ceiling (is it not on the list for this room too, weird right?) ...just brainstorming other places to clean, when I finally get to do the zones I am going to rewatch all your videos!!...How do you deep clean your dishwater? I do an empty cycle with a product made for this, plus I check every now and then if there is anything yukkie around? keep up the great job!

You can focus in areas you might have either set aside or just lightly cleaned on the first round. Making notes/reminders in the next month calendar will be helpful :)

Lol its okay we all over look things. I wished I had your energy to clean my mom's house like you've cleaned yours. There's just so much stuff and clutter in her home. I live with my parents so it's very annoying at times not having a clean decluttered house. I have medical problems so not every day I can clean like I want to. I just try to do what I can when I can.
+Summer J same! but one thing that has helped me sooo much was to focus first on the things i owned. i realized i was wanting to declutter everyone's stuff while i still had a long way to go with mine. decluttered it all and it has left me amazingly satisfied, relaxed and my parents noticed, my mom is now slowly realizing she would be better off too decluttering her stuff! I helped her with the closet the other day, she's still attached to stuff she will never use but it's so good already even if it's just one thing to donate/recycle, i don't impose, in a few months i'll ask her again if she wants my help to declutter any stuff from the closet.
I've been working on decluttering every thing that I own. I have my bedroom that I've worked on and still decluttering. I also have a storage shed in my parents back yard that I'll be working on this summer. My mom has put her things in there as well and I told her this summer we need to go through everything and get rid of 75% of everything out there so I can use it as a getaway like I had planned and not for just storage. It'll take time but I'm hoping this summer we can get a lot done. I try to get her to do a little everyday but we never do. I'm used to living without clutter and living here its gotten to me. Hoping one day it'll be clutter free and easier to clean.
Oh love the old classic films from the 50's/60's/70's. How about Escape From Alcatraz (with Clint Eastwood)? Not sure whether it would be suitable for Willy as I can't recall the whole film it's been so long since I saw it, but you could check that. I do remember enjoying it. The Italian Job (with Michael Caine) might be another one that the boys would like. Do you think when the Fly Lady says 'cabinets' she means the whole cupboard, inside and out? I think it must be as I doubt she would miss that. Like you say though, the whole process is so tweakable, which is what makes it so fab. As for you appliance manuals, try keeping them all together. I got so fed up with not being able to find mine when I needed them and their getting stained or lost, I decided to keep them all in a clear zip lock bag in a kitchen drawer which protects them and makes them easy to find. I do the same in most rooms according to which appliances are in that room.I think some folk store them all in their home management binder, but I have never reached that advanced stage of houeshold organization, so don't own such a tome, lol! not essential, when you go to your cleaning aisle they have orange and lemon oil for furniture
