    Good job! Very explanatory. Just a quick note: If you ever use 2400 powder, or H110, for .357 Mag loads, be careful NOT to use magnum primers! They will produce an overpressure situation that is dangerous. Matter of fact, in most load manuals it shd say only use Mag primers when it says to, because I didn’t pay attn and thot if it was a magnum load…sposed to use magnum primers, rite? Wrong! Blew up my S&W 586 all to hell! Just be aware, Buddy.

Get all your tools and press set up . Brass is very hard to get . If you can get range brass , that’s a big plus ! 38 spl and 357 is very hard to find . But I can find the bullets . If you look at Midway USA , I got 500 rnd of 38 spl range brass . They notify me when it comes in . Very clean stuff . I’m on there notify list for 357 right now . I’ve been finding primers too . It’s hit or miss . You have to do the leg work . It take time . Don’t give up , it’s a great hobby. Good luck ! Just little pieces at a time . It all adds up !

    Primers...... Small RIFLE primers work well. Reduce the load 12%-15%. This is a HOT primer and it's thicker, just a tad hotter than the Standard 500 primers. They stand up to Hot Rifle loads. I load for a G2, single shot, break action, 22in barrel,3x9x40 scope. With all the Bullet types that are out there one of the best hunting bullets is the simple Keith Style Lead Semi Wad Cutter loaded to 1100fps. Anything inside of 100 yards this load works well on Deer and Wild Hogs. Unique for my revolver and Little Gun for the rifle. From the revolver, 4 in 1100fps same load out of the 22in rifle 1700fps.

Because of this video I wanted to make Elvis Ammo’s famous woods load. But I have few molds floating around in the tool box. And I thought it was the lee mold Elvis used. Gosh darn it now I have to warm up the pot cast some more. Thing is in my reloading I realized full house loads require full house powder charges. I went through a pound of h110 rather quickly. Then I go in the tool box and noticed a green box next to some of my other empty mold box’s. And of course it’s the one I originally wanted to cast and see how they preformed DARN IT!!!! • @30roundclipazine79
    @30roundclipazine79 2 роки тому

    I stopped using my fcd's on lead bullets because the post size ring swages the lead down in the case and defeated the point of sizing the boolit to .001 over bore diameter. My gp100 cylinder pins to .360 and if I run the fcd and pull a boolit it is post sized to. 357 not the case with any other crimp die. On auto rounds this destroys case neck tension and makes setback scary easy by just pressing the loaded boolit on a hard metal surface. Unfortunately I now only use the carbide fcd's fire the few times I load jacketed.

Your videos are priceless and although i couldn't get the shake and bake pc method to work for me, i'm content for now tumbling and stacking before i bake. Not sure why, but the powdercoating would come off when i unstick the boolits from each other and leave big ol bumps on the other one. Not sure what i'm doing wrong yet... Anyway... i am curious if you've had any progress in the homemade primer front?? I'm getting down to my last few hundred primers, and no hope of finding any new ones any time soon.....
