Whoaa 10:44 this is steep, I picked it up 6 months ago from Akihabara for ~5000 , I guess sometimes it's just hit and miss BTW please don't become more hesitent to go through each game and stuff over time, IT IS the core enjoyment factor of your vids at least to me. Thanks
Nice video ! I wish you could explain game shop labels, like with or without spine, reg cards, manual missing etc... it will help us collectors going to japan.
Perhaps in the future I will do a video on this subject. What's funny is that my Japanese friends sometimes don't understand labels due to bad handwriting or cryptic phrases, haha! Cheers!
Akihabara has been picked through this summer! I went to all the game shops looking for Dreamcast and it was tough to find anything. The only store I skipped was mandarake because I don’t want to pay those prices. I’ve had much better luck in Osaka the past week. Good luck hunting.
@@RetroReWire I ended up getting a lot of games from different shops, although I did go back to this Surugaya shop in Omiya once and got a cool persona 4 art book and winemaker strategy guide.
Great summary of the store JJ. The Yen is clawing back a tiny bit but its still at a 10 year low. It would make me feel a bit better if went strenghened a little as I traded to yen in May and June lol. I didn't see much that interested me here today but you've seen my list. The show cabinets seem to be so random these days. Used to see Lickles, Doremi's and all the expensive ones a year or so ago. Now you see mainly anything that is in good condition.
Im sure part of the reason we see less of the rare stuff in stores is due to more people selling online. For example, I brought in a CIB Neo Geo CD to sell and was quoted ¥10,000, haha. Some stores advertise a 30% increase, but it doesn’t compare to the 5-10% that online sites charge. Cheers!
Love the Sega Saturn games they have there. I’m trying to collect the Clockwork Knight series for the Sega Saturn. Do you see it often from the shops you’ve been to?
WOW 1:26 I was JUST shopping for this on mercari and I found it for 6500 hahahahahahahahaha So it DOES exist in stores, I thought it's super rare, I will definitely leave it for my next shopping trip to Japan, hahahahha this is FUN
Another amazing video! I dream of being able to visit Japan and join one of your tours. Sounds like a dream.
Hopefully one day! And when you do visit, avoid the summer months. The heat and humidity is brutal, haha. Cheers!
Thank you so much
Whoa this Suragaya is PACKED

Another great video🙌🏼👍🏼… crazy how Dororo aka Blood Will Tell in NA over $200 whereas the JPN is like 1500Y 😊.
Over $200, wow! Demento, or Haunting Ground, is another one that’s crazy expensive in the states, but fairly inexpensive in Japan. Cheers!
japan game huntin asmr... i like this

Hunting for Dreamcast games is always a worthy endeavor. What Dreamcast games did you pickup?

I love Clockwork Knight 2! Good memories playing that one. I see them all fairly often, that being part 1, part 2 and the combo pack. Cheers!
Oh you will be surprised how many times you could be wrong on that 22:12 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You can by far find rarer games in Suragaya compared to Hard/Book offs, and most of the time they are cheaper in Suragaya, the rare ones I mean.
