Maybe a more dumbed down car like a Hyundai or Kia will work better for you.
Can you use Carplay on the entire LCD? In other words, get rid of the split screen to the right?

i'm a new owner of Acura RDX (waiting for shipping from US, bought car from Copart), comparing to my "calculator" in Ford Focus 3 - this is not comparable :))
not sure why people are strugling with that touchpad, you don't need straight your hand to the screen (touchpad), instead - you just sit confortably in same position and controlling your media system
I could never understand why Acura don’t implement the touch function in their cars! Even my 2019 Honda Civic has it, why not in Acura.
No learning curve, no fuss, it just works.

And the key fob was wrapped with red plastic like my red car. It doesn’t

No that is not normal. They are required to give you 2 keys. And as long as the key is working then the one you have would qualify but they do owe you a second one

Since November I’ve been able to use CarPlay wireless w- just the Bluetooth on. All of a sudden I now have to turn WiFi and Bluetooth on for it to work on the infotainment system.
If I connect using the usb cord I don’t have to turn the WiFi on and works just fine.
What do I need to do be able to only use Bluetooth on the wireless for CarPlay?
That's because that is how wireless carplay works. It uses a local wifi connection.
How do you get out of CarPlay. How do you turn it off?
Just hit the home button above the touchpad - super easy
Wireless charging is useless on the tlx doesn’t work with iPhones no updates no nothing from Acura to resolve it, they point the finger at apple 🤦♂️
Wireless charging works just fine in my 23 with iphone 12. A little slower than my my home charger, but that is also because wireless CarPlay is draining it almost as fast as it charges 😂
I don't know what Acura is thinking why not just use the touchscreen. How the people enter the address . That's why I go for his brother pilot
You can just speak the address id on the go. I tend to plan my route beforehand and have it my phone already so it is one click to get directions 😊

Whoever designed this 💩💩💩💩💩 of a system for using the touchpad with carplay . Should be fired. Try using it while driving on tye highway. Good job Acura👏👏👏👏👏
The TTIP is very frustrating in AA or Car Play. It's Baffling that Acura (in my case a 22 MDX ) has elected to go with this system. Maybe, Acura will be executing an Update to the system for better functionality.
They must have done this for the 23 because my RDX is pretty easy to use once you set it up...took a couple hours of customizing and learning and now pretty much second nature after coming from traditional touchscreen infotainment system 😊
