Had it happen to me, and there's one tattle tale sign that's a guarantee everytime! In our presence, she will get a call or message from the other guy, and she'll quickly respond and end the chat, or suddenly need to use the restroom when there's an alert on the phone. Everytime.
I live in Thailand. Married in the US to a Thai 13 years ago and very happy. But you are right about Thai women here. If you are on a dating service and not in Thailand, and the woman you are talking with seems ok with a long distance relationship it’s likely - and I mean very likely - that you are being played. If you don’t send money you will be blocked and if you do I guarantee you she is either not even a woman but a scammer group or she’s got a local Thai boyfriend or husband you are now supporting. It’s just the game here. If you want a serious relationship with a Thai woman you come here, stay here and find a girl away from the entertainment areas who has a job and an education. I met my wife when she was a college intern at a company in Bangkok who was a legal client of mine. I spent most of the next 2 years living here and dated her during that time. After it was clear she was the right women I brought her to the States to marry. We’ve been very happy together and she is amazing. But you need to be darn picky and get all these women over here before you get serious.

There are really lots of people who can't be trusted, male/female, this happens all the time. Many do not want to earn decent money. You really get to know the person once you've been with them. It' s a good thing that her friend had some concern and told you the truth. Often times, it's the person involved who is the last one to know about it. You're still lucky, it didn't take long for you to know the real person behind the mask. Lesson: Don't jump into a relationship and get to know the person first. Trust is earned. Don't give it too freely. There are just too many abusive people nowadays.
I have talked to girls that got 5 or 6 sponsors. One told me it gets very stressful when 2 of them over lap their visits. She has to lie a lot and she said shes got busted a few times and lost some of them. She says most the times she gets caught is she can't remember what lies she to told to which guy LOL.
I would NEVER trust one to leave her in PH and go back to usa. And any pre-up from there, or anywhere, has tons of loopholes around it. Don't do it Guys!
I just can't understand how men go to the Philippines and expect women to be different. No matter what culture you are in, a 25 year old woman has about the same level of emotional maturity as a 14 year old boy. I'm not saying don't date them. its kind of a wild and funny story but after being here going on 6 years its a common story . and i have to marvel at guys who claim they are in a long distance "relationship" with a pinay and sending money .sometimes they have never met . what do they think that girl is doing while he is gone for months on end ? she is banging her local bf or her second free meal ticket foreign guy . i could leave a list list of guys who left and came back to either a pregant wife/girlfriend or has a baby . some who had other guys kid while the older foreign is there "i staying with my sick mom " later she has a 100 percent pinoy kid haha . pinay can be devious . like all woman AND in fact i hooked up with a pinay who has a foreign partner while he was gone . she wanted to do it the day before his return one last time . my friend lived with a pinay nearly a year until her partner was to return . on and on .o some dont cheat while their guy is away . i assume . i ...think....i have met a few who dont . i could be wrong
I was in a local cafe sitting near a girl who was running 5 guys at one time. She would speak to one, asking for money, and then shortly after she would connect with another. That was her job, I think.
Ive heard so many of these stories from very intelligent savvy Vloggers from their own experience that Im convinced 1) sending money to a Filipina remotely is a stupid sucker move and 2) Filipinas are very talented at deception to get what they want regardless of who they are with; they will lie, cheat, steal, con anyone they think trusts them enough to be duped. And then be vindictive and slanderous when caught. Moral of this is always verify when a girl is not looking. Never blindly trust - thats an invitation to be a target. Rekay recently posted a similar story. Its a tough line between vetting over time and being paranoid w a girl you are with but what can you do w such masters of deception out there? It seems nothing is sacred if they can get money or support; how do you find honesty? or maintain honesty in a girl? OldDog suggested just not buying anything on request or implied for a girl no matter how small for months to allow her to prove her motives for dating you. “Not in my budget”. Also make sure her family is not blackmailing her to get your $s. Makes me Leary of dating anyone there.
I have a friend who supposedly is “madly in love” with a Filipina. He’s here in the US ,, she’s over there in the Philippines. He flew there to meet her and stayed 2 weeks and said ,,, “yup , that’s her. The woman I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. While he was there ,, he gave her a $20,000.00 engagement ring and paid for other things in the thousands. He’s back in the US, and sends her money . He’s Filipino! I’m Filipino. I’ve told him he’s being taken to the cleaners. Some of his other Filipino friends have said the same thing. He’s 74 and she’s 52.

When I'm interested in a woman, in Thailand, or the Philippines, I ask them how boyfriends do you have in a playful way. This makes it easier for them to tell the truth. Then I can decide whether to go further or not. You can't blame them to much because of their poor situation. At the end of the day all over the world. Women don't love us, they love what we can do for them and how we make them feel.
That's a great strategy, actually. It's all how you frame the questions so that they don't feel accusatory. I'm a bit of a stickler though, I won't date a Filipina who has had foreigner boyfriends. I don't want to be compared to anybody.

I had something somewhat similar happen to me back in 2015 in Cebu City. I met a filipina online and chatted and had a LDR for about a year before I came to Cebu City to meet her in person ( first time ever in the Phils ) We had ( what I thought ) a great time together for a month traveling, doing different things and I met her mother and family too. One thing I noticed though she was constantly texting people ( now I know it was other potential bf's ) and then it was time for me to leave. I promised her I'd be back as soon as I could....then I left after a long goodbye. I found out as soon as I got home the day after I left she was shacked up with another foreigner and she had the nerve to send me a pic of them 2 together in bed ( all clothes on ) THEN, I found out after he left she hooked up with ANOTHER foreigner, WTF ! She ended up marrying the last foreigner she was with and lives in Belgium with him and I believe they have a child together. THEN, after all that she had the nerve to ask me for $ 500 usd for cancer treatment for her brother ( all a lie....big surprise huh ) The way I look at it I dodged a bullet.....she's the other guys problem now. Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction. All I can say is be careful and keep your eyes wide open and if something seems suspicious it probably is. JMHO
It happens unfortunately. Many girls there assume that you are talking to multiple women so they don’t have a problem chatting multiple men. Especially if they financially support them. Can’t even count the number of times I’ve seen them back on the dating sites while still together. I would deactivate my account and not look for months. Randomly check and they’re on it every day. And you can’t do anything bc if you accuse them of cheating and being on it they will be like you are on it too! Or I’m just on it to make sure you aren’t on it. Such huge gaslighting. Moral of the story: if you find a good one hold on tightly.
And to make the story more sadder there are foreign guy's who broke those worthy Filipina's as well. Not just the Filipina's, some male's from the West are doing it as well.
Just some real talk. If they are young and pretty, why would they entertain middle aged to old guys who look average (or less than average)? Of course money is involved. The only good thing is that some girls are just grateful for that and willing do their part in being a good wife/girlfriend.

What do you expect if some 60+ foreign guy wants to be or looking for someone young enough to be his grandchild. I know there are cases that a lady loves the guy but that is two is to ten. The older guy gets his arm candy and the younger lady gets the 💰. So better be cautious, and look for someone close enough to the guy's age.

Yes my fear is the scam that get women get caught up with in a country of few resources. Getting multiple men on the hook of relationships that send money and they see this as a means of financial support. I need to go back and forth from the Philippines and USA, at least once a year if not twice a year. I could easily see someone cheating on me when I’m gone. I'm glad Gio made the comment that the majority of Filipina women don't act this way. Unfortunately though, the stories that make the news and people want to talk about are the ones that involve scammers or double-dipping. What needs to be noted is that very few European or American men know what they'd do if the roles and economic conditions were reversed. If you want to understand poverty, go to the Philippines. There is more unemployment in the PI than either Vietnam or Thailand. And, women have it far worse than men in the PI with so many single women raising kids without any support from their birth fathers. Men cheating on their girlfriends or wives is widespread, abuse is also common and while there is no divorce in the PI, they do have anullments, which can cost between $6000-$10000, which almost nobody can afford and the man certainly had no motivation to pay if he can have a wife at his house and a side girlfriend. It is a very male-dominated culture and many women feel inferior to men. So, if you're poor, struggle to eat, raising kids on your own, etc...what would you do? I don't condone scammers, but severe poverty and a culture that doesn't support women the same as men can make us do stuff we may otherwise not do. In addition, I don't know what's worse...getting scammed for a while by a Filipina, then finding out and bailing or marrying an American woman for 5-10 years or so, have kids, then get divorced and pay alimony. As we all know, divorce in the US always hovers in the 50% range...so there are millions of men paying alimony...with American dollars as opposed to Philippine pesos. I was married previously to an American women and because I was in the military, I'm paying her about $1000 per month for the rest of my life...even though she remarried years ago. I still feel for ya Gio...but glad you found out about it and ran before it snowballed. I'm with a Filipina woman right now in her late 40s and have visited her 4 times. We have also applied for and was approved for the K1 Visa, which should put her here by mid-November. I tend to feel dating older women is less risky than younger ones, but the moral of the story is anyone can be fooled. I'm 99.999% sure I'm not involved with a scam...but time will tell.

Also yes Older filipinas are a far better options because they are past their golden years and they know they don't have the same options as when they were young and vibrant, they are far more loyal and less likely to do something dumb to get themselves dumped by their foreigners.
Gio was there physically and in the flesh and in living color. The other guy in the United Kingdom had her on hold by sending her resources. At least she wasn't sleeping with both of them at the same time. Such is the life in countries where the governments aren't able to provide enough employment to its citizens, especially for the men to be able to support the women of the countries in the Philippines and other countries in Asia, Personally, I understand the situation the women are in and would try not to take it too personally. It is what it is.
So true Gio, I know from experience, LDR relationships come with a lot of risks. I was visiting my Filipina two or three times a year and it was fine for a few years. The support became more of an issue during the three years of Covid with no visits there. She messaged me one day with a story….the short of it was that she was pregnant. How long she had been seeing the guy, who knows ? I put a lot into that relationship…it’s not just about money, I knew her son and her family well and had stayed at their house several times. Never again, LDR can work, but it takes a special kind of girl and they are rare from my experience.

Foreign men going to countries in Asia have to admit to themselves firstly, for most women in Asia countries it is survival of the fittest. In reality the women are not scamming. I was watching another channel discussing that this gal has a LDR for over 5 years! And they have never met. How can that even be called a relationship? When I was younger that was called a penpal. I don't see what the guy got out of it. If you need to have a relationship then have an actual in person relationship. I guess this online dating is better than going to a bar at 3am, but you really know NOTHING about the other person except what they want you to know. Perhaps month before you travel there you might try and meet someone, but really, until you get there (wherever there is) that isn't really a "relationship" in my opinion. Be smart guys and gals. You might advise people not to fall for Filipino bloggers. These bloggers try to make you think they’re doing something useful to help out foreigners but in reality they’re just mimicking what other bloggers are doing and soaking up the money. Men seem to have no control when it comes to a pretty lady they just keep dishing out the money if it were to stop a lot of this stuff might go away.

Good story Gio. It's not like I haven't been lied to or cheated on by women in the West. I think as a man its easier for us to justify helping less fortunate women in the Philippines. It's probably a bad idea but I understand why its feels different. As a man of a certain age its difficult when women you have no chance of interacting with in your country start paying attention to you in the Philippines. I try and take it slow but there's a small part of my brain that has a hard time listening to reason.

I wouldn’t think a job in the mall would produce sustainable income for school and the cost of living. You're a trusting guy, as am I. So, like you, I would not have probed further either, especially when she was not overtly seeking financial assistance from you. It’s not only the Philippines. I recently moved back to the states. This after living in Bangkok Thailand for three years. I’m retired. Initially I had a relationship with a Thai woman. An accountant , well educated, divorced, living with her mother. She would only see me once a week. If I asked to see her more she would become upset, and agitated. And this was after dating for a number of months. I did have the impression something was going on. I’m not saying women in these third world type countries are all dishonest. But because of financial reasons it’s not uncommon. And this lady you had a relationship with. Her boyfriend probably blocked you because he felt he got rid of the competition So he thinks everything is ok now. And your statement about the majority of women in Thailand not being interested in a man unless they are there. I have to disagree. If they are looking for a foreigner. Of course they would like you to be there or visit. But that is of little consequence to them on the dating sites.

A friend of mine tried to set me up with a friend of his wife, but it didn't work out. About a year later, I ask how she was doing and he said forget about her. Later he told me, she had started working a guy from Australia for money, but was dating local guy and had his kid. My ex Filipina Fiance also gave me red flags before Covid and during Covid that I finally opened my eyes wide enough to end our LDR. Even though we had already been together since she worked as an OFW in Singapore and returned to the Philippines during the Covid outbreak. My Thai Fiance is definitely one that I can trust, as I even engage with discussions with her parents, children, and other family members on video chats or when I go there. No games behind my back for sure! I would think that the only reason for any type of breakup with her is 1 reason only- that I don't move there at least part time in the future.
Your story sounds exactly like what I'd expect to get from them. Finding one that was truly loyal I would say is the exception. I hear the same stories from men who go to places like Costa Rica. When their GF says they're going to visit their mother, they are going to see their local boyfriend.

Only 1 or 2 other guys isn't too bad compared to some that have about 10 lol. They make a good living out of it. Using 5 different FB accounts and using different names, etc. With enough searching you can find their alternate accounts. You just never really know sometimes though.
When a girl is constantly on her cell, a good red flag; she puts the phone down quickly, when you enter the room. Also, she ask when your flight arrives; wanting a cell photo thru sms, too organize her multi boy friends.

i could leave a list list of guys who left and came back to either a pregant wife/girlfriend or has a baby . some who had other guys kid while the older foreign is there "i staying with my sick mom " later she has a 100 percent pinoy kid haha . pinay can be devious . like all woman AND in fact i hooked up with a pinay who has a foreign partner while he was gone . she wanted to do it the day before his return one last time . my friend lived with a pinay nearly a year until her partner was to return . on and on .o some dont cheat while their guy is away . i assume . i ...think....i have met a few who dont . i could be wrong

I was in a local cafe sitting near a girl who was running 5 guys at one time. She would speak to one, asking for money, and then shortly after she would connect with another. That was her job, I think.
Ive heard so many of these stories from very intelligent savvy Vloggers from their own experience that Im convinced 1) sending money to a Filipina remotely is a stupid sucker move and 2) Filipinas are very talented at deception to get what they want regardless of who they are with; they will lie, cheat, steal, con anyone they think trusts them enough to be duped. And then be vindictive and slanderous when caught.
Moral of this is always verify when a girl is not looking. Never blindly trust - thats an invitation to be a target. Rekay recently posted a similar story. Its a tough line between vetting over time and being paranoid w a girl you are with but what can you do w such masters of deception out there? It seems nothing is sacred if they can get money or support; how do you find honesty? or maintain honesty in a girl? OldDog suggested just not buying anything on request or implied for a girl no matter how small for months to allow her to prove her motives for dating you. “Not in my budget”. Also make sure her family is not blackmailing her to get your $s. Makes me Leary of dating anyone there.
I have a friend who supposedly is “madly in love” with a Filipina. He’s here in the US ,, she’s over there in the Philippines. He flew there to meet her and stayed 2 weeks and said ,,, “yup , that’s her. The woman I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. While he was there ,, he gave her a $20,000.00 engagement ring and paid for other things in the thousands. He’s back in the US, and sends her money . He’s Filipino! I’m Filipino. I’ve told him he’s being taken to the cleaners. Some of his other Filipino friends have said the same thing. He’s 74 and she’s 52.

When I'm interested in a woman, in Thailand, or the Philippines, I ask them how boyfriends do you have in a playful way. This makes it easier for them to tell the truth. Then I can decide whether to go further or not. You can't blame them to much because of their poor situation. At the end of the day all over the world. Women don't love us, they love what we can do for them and how we make them feel.

I had something somewhat similar happen to me back in 2015 in Cebu City. I met a filipina online and chatted and had a LDR for about a year before I came to Cebu City to meet her in person ( first time ever in the Phils ) We had ( what I thought ) a great time together for a month traveling, doing different things and I met her mother and family too. One thing I noticed though she was constantly texting people ( now I know it was other potential bf's ) and then it was time for me to leave. I promised her I'd be back as soon as I could....then I left after a long goodbye. I found out as soon as I got home the day after I left she was shacked up with another foreigner and she had the nerve to send me a pic of them 2 together in bed ( all clothes on ) THEN, I found out after he left she hooked up with ANOTHER foreigner, WTF ! She ended up marrying the last foreigner she was with and lives in Belgium with him and I believe they have a child together. THEN, after all that she had the nerve to ask me for $ 500 usd for cancer treatment for her brother ( all a lie....big surprise huh ) The way I look at it I dodged a bullet.....she's the other guys problem now. Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction. All I can say is be careful and keep your eyes wide open and if something seems suspicious it probably is. JMHO
It happens unfortunately. Many girls there assume that you are talking to multiple women so they don’t have a problem chatting multiple men. Especially if they financially support them.
Can’t even count the number of times I’ve seen them back on the dating sites while still together. I would deactivate my account and not look for months. Randomly check and they’re on it every day. And you can’t do anything bc if you accuse them of cheating and being on it they will be like you are on it too! Or I’m just on it to make sure you aren’t on it. Such huge gaslighting.

What do you expect if some 60+ foreign guy wants to be or looking for someone young enough to be his grandchild. I know there are cases that a lady loves the guy but that is two is to ten. The older guy gets his arm candy and the younger lady gets the 💰. So better be cautious, and look for someone close enough to the guy's age.

Yes my fear is the scam that get women get caught up with in a country of few resources. Getting multiple men on the hook of relationships that send money and they see this as a means of financial support. I need to go back and forth from the Philippines and USA, at least once a year if not twice a year. I could easily see someone cheating on me when I’m gone. I'm glad Gio made the comment that the majority of Filipina women don't act this way. Unfortunately though, the stories that make the news and people want to talk about are the ones that involve scammers or double-dipping. What needs to be noted is that very few European or American men know what they'd do if the roles and economic conditions were reversed. If you want to understand poverty, go to the Philippines. There is more unemployment in the PI than either Vietnam or Thailand. And, women have it far worse than men in the PI with so many single women raising kids without any support from their birth fathers. Men cheating on their girlfriends or wives is widespread, abuse is also common and while there is no divorce in the PI, they do have anullments, which can cost between $6000-$10000, which almost nobody can afford and the man certainly had no motivation to pay if he can have a wife at his house and a side girlfriend. It is a very male-dominated culture and many women feel inferior to men. So, if you're poor, struggle to eat, raising kids on your own, etc...what would you do? I don't condone scammers, but severe poverty and a culture that doesn't support women the same as men can make us do stuff we may otherwise not do.
In addition, I don't know what's worse...getting scammed for a while by a Filipina, then finding out and bailing or marrying an American woman for 5-10 years or so, have kids, then get divorced and pay alimony. As we all know, divorce in the US always hovers in the 50% range...so there are millions of men paying alimony...with American dollars as opposed to Philippine pesos. I was married previously to an American women and because I was in the military, I'm paying her about $1000 per month for the rest of my life...even though she remarried years ago.
I still feel for ya Gio...but glad you found out about it and ran before it snowballed. I'm with a Filipina woman right now in her late 40s and have visited her 4 times. We have also applied for and was approved for the K1 Visa, which should put her here by mid-November. I tend to feel dating older women is less risky than younger ones, but the moral of the story is anyone can be fooled. I'm 99.999% sure I'm not involved with a scam...but time will tell.

Also yes Older filipinas are a far better options because they are past their golden years and they know they don't have the same options as when they were young and vibrant, they are far more loyal and less likely to do something dumb to get themselves dumped by their foreigners.

Gio was there physically and in the flesh and in living color. The other guy in the United Kingdom had her on hold by sending her resources. At least she wasn't sleeping with both of them at the same time. Such is the life in countries where the governments aren't able to provide enough employment to its citizens, especially for the men to be able to support the women of the countries in the Philippines and other countries in Asia, Personally, I understand the situation the women are in and would try not to take it too personally. It is what it is.

So true Gio, I know from experience, LDR relationships come with a lot of risks. I was visiting my Filipina two or three times a year and it was fine for a few years. The support became more of an issue during the three years of Covid with no visits there.
She messaged me one day with a story….the short of it was that she was pregnant. How long she had been seeing the guy, who knows ? I put a lot into that relationship…it’s not just about money, I knew her son and her family well and had stayed at their house several times. Never again, LDR can work, but it takes a special kind of girl and they are rare from my experience.
Sad and relieved at the same time...Sad because you had experienced that and at the same time relieved because you believe there are still that kind of lady who are worthy of your trust. I hope you can find that ONE special girl, God bless 🙏

I was watching another channel discussing that this gal has a LDR for over 5 years! And they have never met. How can that even be called a relationship? When I was younger that was called a penpal. I don't see what the guy got out of it. If you need to have a relationship then have an actual in person relationship. I guess this online dating is better than going to a bar at 3am, but you really know NOTHING about the other person except what they want you to know. Perhaps month before you travel there you might try and meet someone, but really, until you get there (wherever there is) that isn't really a "relationship" in my opinion. Be smart guys and gals. You might advise people not to fall for Filipino bloggers. These bloggers try to make you think they’re doing something useful to help out foreigners but in reality they’re just mimicking what other bloggers are doing and soaking up the money. Men seem to have no control when it comes to a pretty lady they just keep dishing out the money if it were to stop a lot of this stuff might go away.

Good story Gio. It's not like I haven't been lied to or cheated on by women in the West. I think as a man its easier for us to justify helping less fortunate women in the Philippines. It's probably a bad idea but I understand why its feels different. As a man of a certain age its difficult when women you have no chance of interacting with in your country start paying attention to you in the Philippines. I try and take it slow but there's a small part of my brain that has a hard time listening to reason.

Initially I had a relationship with a Thai woman. An accountant , well educated, divorced, living with her mother.
She would only see me once a week. If I asked to see her more she would become upset, and agitated. And this was after dating for a number of months. I did have the impression something was going on.
I’m not saying women in these third world type countries are all dishonest. But because of financial reasons it’s not uncommon.

Only 1 or 2 other guys isn't too bad compared to some that have about 10 lol. They make a good living out of it. Using 5 different FB accounts and using different names, etc. With enough searching you can find their alternate accounts. You just never really know sometimes though.
