      I've noticed that even in the old testament, Ethiopians keep popping up. From the Ethiopian eunuch Ebedmelech that God had to use to get a message to the King because the King was so far gone he couldn't hear God, to the book of Acts, chapter 8, where Phillip is directed to go and meet a man of Ethiopia. "A eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship." For some reason, God's had an interest in those people for a very long time.

    • @corrob
      @corrob 2 дні тому

      that is pretty much the whole point of Christianity, God in the Old Testament required sacrifice, and was almost malevolent to non-believers. destroying the world with a flood, killing off the Nephilim, and most of humanity.
      then with a change of heart(?) in the New Testament. God put himself into human form in order to show the humans he will go through the pain we feel, that he would do anything, even submit himself in human form, his "son" to the most humiliation and pain and experience death. for us to be saved through the way he lived his human life, endured the punishment, died. but through him now we can all live with him in heaven, after our human bodies expire.
      HUGE difference in GOD's behaviour from old to new testament. how does an omnipotent being with all knowing outside of time completely change ?

That seems a little bit too coincidental considering the Emperor's biography was written for future generations. The writers of the Gospels were just ordinary guys. That would be the same as this comment by me surviving 2000 years along with Doris Kearns Goodwin's biography of a President. And almost nothing else biographical during the period from ,2000-2025 surviving. It would seem that there was some divine role at play. Call me crazy.

      Not sure what you mean by divine but Jesus was a human who sacrificed his perfect life to us. For people who think he is also God all you have to do is look at Jesus' baptism when the voice of God from the heavens said he had approved of him. Jesus being both God and Human at the same time is totally inconsistent. If it is true then why does he pray and talk to himself? It also cheapens his sacrifice for us because humans can die whereas God cannot which totally invalidates John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

      It doesn't. This is myth written by dehydrated/stoned dudes in the desert trying to revolt. The only reason it caught so much traction is because most people couldn't read

    Does this guy believe in the virgin birth, talking donkey, talking snake, devils, demons, angels,, leprechauns? He reminds me of the Mark Train quote. "Truth has no defense against a fool determined to believe a lie."

    Jesus Christ is NOT God Almighty, he is the first creation of God (firstborn).. I don’t understand how anyone would believe that the Omnipotent Creator of existence would ACTUALLY allow his own creatures to nail Him to a stake. That’s so blasphemous.
    God gave his son over as a sacrifice for us.

      So you believe in many gods?
      What do you do with Christ's claims? He claims to be God. He forgives sins. He accepts worship, from his disciples. And in the end, he refers to himself as "Alpha and Omega"

      @ he does not claim to be God. Thought him we can be forgiven. He does not call himself Alpha and Omega. There is only one God, Jehovah.

      If people match their skepticism towards everything the way they do Jesus then they will quickly find there is nothing to believe in.

      Unable to respect an individual who doesn't hold your beliefs and think as you do? So you actually don't respect anyone who is not a Christian?

      That’s about the most unchristian thing you could’ve said. You pray for him to find Jesus, not lose respect for him.

      You sound like the Pharisees and not like Jesus. Jesus literally dined and laughed with sinners. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. I would get that stick out your ass if you ever wanna sound convincing.
