Also, I really think people need to chill with sayin the comms were hatn on Yoki; they teased her a bit but honestly it seemed they were biased for her to win if anything, real talk. Just watched the entire video and I disagree with the accusations made about the commentators bullying yoki. Both commentators had a good grasp of the game, had some background knowledge on both players, and gave a pretty fair assessment of the matches. Yes, its true that they might have been a tad more biased towards saiyne, ( I would assume they know him on a more personal level compared to yoki ) but it never stopped them from giving yoki her props when it was warranted. Also as Cal Schmidt pointed out they were QUICK to make sure that her name was changed from sophitia90 to yoki and you could tell there was anger at the mistake being made. I think some of you people might be too sensitive or are just being troll SJW's on youtube. Either way props to the players and team spooky for putting cool vids up.

I'm trying to get into SC6 competitively, and the scene looks interesting. But man, this SJW/White Knight "defense brigade" isn't scoring anyone any points, especially with players. yeesh.
How does someone learn a character that well in one day? It´s impossible with my method because I study in the perfectionist way. You just try out as much as you can and try to remember as much as you can?
Soul Calibur is basically a full roster of Lei Wulongs, so many cheap and good and risky moves and mechanics, everything is varied and the outcome is based off pure battle experience
I'm gonna explain the science that goes into this career choice to a degree° ..okay!!? 🎓🎩👒 So... How is it possible to win a tournament with a day-one character? {Damian Wayne} Well, for the longesttt it was highly probable that Cassandra would be a playable character in the game. I mean.. the leaks have been crazy this year for the fgc. Forreal forreal~ Soo.. All the man had to do was ensure he still could play on a high-lvl and honestly just adjust his gameplay around the new mechanics and different moves with Soul-Charge. Plus there's a huge chance% nerfs or buffs couldn't have effected this character personally enough thanks to every iconic aspect about her having had returned, and then some. There was virtually no reason to have switched over characters when the lack of knowledge on the character that won this thing is one of the main points which kept my man in it as no matter how good the Seong player was, she could ONLY have gotten so far not tech'ng the right grapples or even implementing soul-critical-art within combos. The fact that this dude rlly ditched Amy for some other "new" character is rough asf as if I were trying to really honestly get points in Sc6, he is easily a top 3-5 choice on a basic fundamental lvl. *colors *inputs *floating *weapon Not advanced steps and necessarily overall damage output.

Most of it is fundamentals. You know the other characters you face. The rest of it is knowing the frames of each move which is what they were talking about helping him since this isn't all known day 1.
Once he knew what was safe and the combos that worked it was probably 2 hours to build muscle memory for most of it.
The last bit is finding your opponent's rhythms and exploiting their patterns, which he did towards the end very well.
There's a lot more intricacies to this but generally that's how you "git gud" quickly. If Cassandra was crap it wouldn't have mattered how much he learned. There's a reason only 5-6 characters make these tournaments.
@Weston Meyer Only if you're a noob or you main a character that matches badly with her. Seong in the right hands is amazing, as is Tira, or really any character when the user has better fundamentals than you.
People said this exact same thing with 2B despite her blaring weaknesses and abundance of unsafe strings that led to openings with more holes than Swiss cheese. Learn your enemy, don't mash buttons, and learn how they play. Geralt or Sieg is far scarier than her for the most part and if you know how to guard break she practically presents you openings!

KamixKaze re k rings out, guaranteed crouch grab combos, kills with chip, has pretty good frame data, good damage, has plus 14/16 moves on tip. She’s pretty fucking nutty

I mean I was playing SC2 and compare to what I'm seeing here,the hits feel so light,like I don't feel the heaviness that the other SC game has,like the characters attacks and when they fall everything feels light,like on the older games when you fall you FEEL it,it's heavy and you as the player feel the weight,and here they all feel weirdly light,it weird for me .-.

DBFZ didn't have many people there this week, tends to happen when a new character is released.
it surprises my that every grand finalist in every game tournament always play attacks that wait for lucks... i really like to try out these players... sadly im not and never in any tournament so i couldnt taste how it feels to be in a tournament and fight with these players.... i would really like to have a chance to see... waiting for an opening is always a lame strategy to me... i dont know perhaps am i a better player or a bad player... but to me creating an opening is always better than waiting for an opening... or gamble your strike with luck (hoping the enemy to be open or unaware)... every stance has its weaknesses... i mean im sure everyone knows about these, especially the tournament player... i mean how can they get into tournmant if they suck right??? plus getting you into grand finals must mean youre a good player... or atleast decent... i watch many fights on youtube (hoping i own the game to play it on my own), but the players... fights and strategies never satisfied me... maybe im just noob or an idiot for not enjoying it like anyone else... and i would like to try fighting with these players and truely see their potential... are they better than me... or worst... coz i always sees me as better player so i would like to try it out on a practice... im not trying to be arrogant... im just not satiesfied watching them fights... it seems like there are more ways they could play better... more moves they could do... but they didnt... and i dont understand why.... thats why i need practical... not just theory...
i really hope to play with people in my life... the only place i could play with other people are in the arcade.... and im unable to play the arcade... means there a 2 condition... im a pc player... no arcade player... means im not use to arcade controls... and plus arcade is expensive... and i dont have money.... i would play it if im good with arcade controls... and being discomfort with arcade controls plus the money you have to spent (and the time) to have to get to get use to arcade controls seems like a lot of sacrifices... my money is limited and i dont get much money in life to spend it on entertainment... i mean expensive entertainments.... it brokes my heart to see im so far away from everyone...

Cassandra game is super heavy rush down with hella plus frames. Sophie excels mainly at defensive play and punish game and doesn't have as much plus frames.
They do not play similar.
I feel like these commentators were friends with Saiyne and it really made it annoying to watch. Yuki was doing some really awesome stuff but they ignored it. At the beginning when Yuki was doing super well they were making excuses for saiyne saying he barely plays Cassandra instead of hyping Yuki's cool plays.

I’ve been playing Mina as a character for over 20 years. I’ve had to evolve with every iteration of her every time. They took away some very vital moves from her that you need to play a safer game up close and it drives me ape shit now in Taki and Maxi matchups. Hopefully she will get those moves back in the new update. I noticed Mitsy had QCF-B back again which he doesn’t have currently.
