Thank you so much Rob for sharing your journey so openly! I’m also on Mounjaro, and over the past few months, I’ve managed to lose 10% of my body weight, and for the first time in years, my blood pressure is in the normal range. Only my son and GP know about it, so it’s really lovely to have someone like you to share the journey with-your honesty and motivation mean so much!
Awww thanks so much Grace, it means a lot to me that my videos are even a tiny bit helpful! I'll happily be your Mounjaro friend to share the experience with 🥰 well done on the health improvements you are achieving for yourself 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@ That’s so kind of you Rob. And FYI your videos are way more helpful than “a tiny bit” … they are extremely helpful and relevant. ❤️. Here’s to another healthy week ahead. 🇦🇺🫶
Awesome vlog Rob! Your meals look great (well done Dave!) - apart from THAT Subway 😲 Many thanks for sharing. You're doing so well, you're a real inspiration 👍
Hey Rob, Oh you have made me laugh with the Subway lunch, your face when you opened the box 😂😂 Great video really enjoyed it, very informative and a bit of entertainment thrown in too. Really looking forward to the next one 👍 Well done on your exercise, you are doing amazing!! X
Hi rob, watch your channel, very informative and has helped me start my journey, 2 weeks in now. In regards to plateau your experiencing now, it may be due to your overall resting metabolic rate having lowered and adjusted to your calorie deficit. Muscle atrophy very common for those on calorie deficit and do heavy amounts of cardio (running and spin). You may break plateu by adding in weight / resistance training of some kind and tale back on cardio slightly (not stop altogether). You will find that scales may not move too much and still be slow but after 2 months or so your entire body shape will shrink. Look into it and let me know your thoughts, your doing great 👍🏻
Thanks for watching along 😁 right now I'm good with my routine and working on improving my cardio fitness and stamina, but certainly will be mixing things up down the line. A long time ago I used to do kettlebells and HIIT and similar and I am looking to add some of this back in once I've made more progress 💪🏼🏋🏼
Hi Rob. Your journey is so inspiring. I've been trying to get a jab via NHS as I'm diabetic but the hoops I have to jump through are diabolical. SO I've bit the bullet and gone private. Used your code to saved a few quid. Thank you. Just waiting now to see if I'm approved 🤞
Well that was a long one! I've tried getting my cat to cook for me but the only things he can manage are scratches and the occasional pile of vomit from going mad on cat grass... I have been trawling round for high protein meals and drinks so it's good to see some alternatives, are you still not sponsored by Asda?! Well done on your progress with the couch to 5k, they recommend taking a day off between each one to let your body recover so to be doing the spin classes too is impressive. Oh, and I read somewhere that fruit on Mounjaro is not really recommended because it causes spikes in sugar levels - so stick with the chocolate! 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks! Nope, sadly Asda haven't come up with the goods yet 😜 yeah I am struggling to fit in couch to 5k plus spin plus rest days, I think we should have an extra day in the week (weekend, obviously!!) so I can keep on top of it!
Cheers mate. I like that these have a lot of options, most are suitable for a low calorie lunch and it removes the decision making for what I'm gonna have. That being said, definitely moving into soup season now so it might be a few less salads and a few more bowls of soup for me.
Ur meals are definitely more exciting than mine I live on my protein meals think I'm going to need more variety! Just took my second week jab whilst watching your video so far so good
Ahhh well you gotta do what works for you, so don't feel bad or pressured to do anything different. Like I said I'm fortunate that Dave does a fair bit of the cooking, otherwise I would be a lot more reliant on ready meals or freezer teas! 🤣🙈
Something I recently learned about myself may be helpful for you. All the glp1 weight loss you tubers all swear by these electrolyte supplements. I started drinking one a day as I am very active and my weight loss ground to a hault for three weeks. I talked to my doctor and she said I really didn't need them if I take a magnesium supplement. They have a lot of sodium which may make some retain water. So, I stopped drinking them, and dropped about 6 pounds in two days. I was amazed. Maybe something to give a shot if you tend to retain water.
Oh that's interesting and helpful, thanks! I find they are working well for me, and if I don't use one then I can feel pretty rough for the rest of the day after I've done spin / couch to 5k. I will definitely keep it in mind though regarding water retention, I wouldn't have even considered that!

Hi Rob, Are your exercise and diet habits the same as before you started Mounjaro or did you start them at the same time?
Which shop do you buy your smoothie mix from please
We get it from Tesco but it looks like Sainsburys also stock it? Neither have it on offer right now and are charging the same price.

Squash is that juice? We don’t use that term in the US.
Hey, yeah I think it's juice? Diluted with water (as opposed to fruit juice that's from the carton / bottle to glass with no water mixed in?)
Hope you get that 5lb loss
