Completely different approach to golf teaching. Makes a lot more sense to feel a natural movement rather than memorizing different positions along the way. No other sport focus so much on positions like golf and that's not natural. No wonder most students reaction to the lesson is: "UAU!" Great stuff!
The best UA-cam instruction video ever. I tried using the same principles with my putter stroke...move the grip towards the hole and let the putter head follow. Seems to work!
Best, most simple video you have done to explain what you teach and how our bodies can execute the ultimate golf swing! Your boards and other products help for sure! I am so glad I got those a bit back.....night and day. You are also so great at sharing what you are learning as you take us on this journey! THAT is what a true teacher is! Good stuff Marcus!
Marcus - Thank You for ending my 58 yr search for the perfect golf swing system. I was going to cancel my golf membership this year but after 3 weeks into your training I can't wait for the course to open this spring. Using your training I feel like I have a shot at shooting my age of 70. I Wish you had an option for purchasing your 2 hour video via a downloadable link. Thanks again your an amazing coach. Ted Upland, Indiana
I just tried this chipping. For the first time I naturally dropped to my lead side as club was going back!! You are God sent. I wish you were around 25 years ago! Cheers mate!
Once Again thank you, I’ve never been able to feel compression before because I was moving the club head instead of handle. I feel the pressure on my right trigger finger for the first time. You’re an amazing teacher
Went out and had the best range session of my life after watching this. For the first time ever, I was actually hitting good shots with the driver - big high bombs right down the middle. That advice about moving the handle and letting the head react to it to create lag...perfect!!
As always, a great video Marcus 👏For those of you viewing, this may seem like a 'eureka moment' (and I hope it is). But THE only way to get the full benefit, is to get yourself a lesson with any of the Zen Team. It is absolutely 100% worth it 👍⛳
@@kevinlunde6486 I had my lesson with Sam, which was amazing. Try and get in with any of the Zen Team, the results will be the same. Well worth the trip across the pond 👍⛳️
Very good stuff Marcus-- your a great teacher-- I’ve seen over 40 instructors in my golfing life-- this is brilliant and way better than most instructors-- awesome!!!!!!
By far and away the best description of how to move a golf club to optimize the swing sequence and the movements necessary to make it happen! After watch the 1st time I ran out to play 9 holes before work and was blown away by the improvement in ball striking and accuracy as well as distance. I hit some of the best shots of the season!
These videos by Marcus just keep getting better and better! Surely every golfer can benefit from this very clear instruction of the forces of the golf swing and apply them to their game. Outstanding!😊 Cheers from Nova Scotia, Mike.
Marcus, love how you make swinging so easy to understand. You break it down in such simple yet informative ways that make it easily understood. Thanks so much. Cheers
Hello ! Another brilliant video ! Explains why greatest shots are the most effortless ones when the intention is away from the club the face. Many thanks 👍
Thanks a ton Marcus for rekindling the lost touch and feel in the hands. I had lately started to flip and double cross a lot and now the hands will not sneak upon me and act up for I will be better aware and conscious what my hands are doing their timing and sequence. The hands will go through a refresher training. Cheers!!
That's me to a T I really need to book a lesson Marcus. To see if you can help me as am a lost cause to many faults ingrained over 45 years 😢.Great video like all the rest .
If you have the grf board and a 2 lessons under your belt you understand the movement of the body. The rest is about sequencing the arms and hand into the swing. So when I saw this it was the euraka moment forr me. I have had 2 practice sesions and it was easy. You can slow it down or speed it up but best of all is with the short game as you finesse the shots. I was standing next to one of the top amateurs in scotland at st andrews today and I can see all the movements marcus is talking about in his swing and because of marcus it is now in my nervous system. 60 years I have been thrashing away and getting nowhere. All I asked of marcus was to show me the way and I will figure out the rest. Marcus is a clever man and every golfer should have marcus in your life.
Happy New Year Marcus! how does this tie in with the other amazing video u did titled "control your swing by releasing the club LATE on the arc", Where the swish, taking toe divots, closing the clubface and rolling of the left wrist are shown which look different to the fish tail movement you show in this video. Many thanks!
Really enjoy these videos. Very practical action items to explore. Thank you. You guys ever thought about wearing a mic? Just to remove some of the echo in your videos.
We try to get the best audio possible without mic'ing up because these videos are first and foremost for the pupil's own private record. Only with kind permission do we edit for UA-cam. We don't want it to feel staged as the lesson environment is the most important thing.
Really appreciate the intuitive approach and learning to feel the motion and movements. A bit confused for up motion of swing as in driver swings. Trying to get more up and depth with your concepts, maybe the last few seconds show a fuller swing evolution thru intent and requisite energy?
Okay I really understand most of this stuff and I can apply pretty well when swinging about 60% once I start trying to speed up I feel tension in my arms so do I keep doing at a speed I can properly swing at and let it build up over time or are they something I can do to speed it up without losing that sequence
Thanks for the great vids Marcus. I’m over in Sweden and the clubs I have visited here only have mats on the ranges. I don’t have the time to go out as much as I want so I rarely hit on grass. I feel like I’m ok and consistent on the mats but I’m absolutely terrible on the actual course. I keep duffing and fatting my shots. The mats don’t give me the same issue. Any advice mate? I’m very frustrated since most of my time goes to the mats.
Bit of a tricky one there as I always encourage that you get on the grass as much as possible. But it sounds as though your low point is back of the ball- the mats you're using are just letting you get away with it is all. Play around with your low point and see what results you get 👍
@@GRFGolf Hey cheers man. I appreciate the answer. Regarding time: small kids. I can only go when they are asleep. But next year looks a little better regarding that. I will have a play with the low point. Thank you so much!
The trouble is that you are not getting the negative feedback from a fat shot on the mat. That’s because the club head bounces into the ball. Therefore you reinforce this with another swing the same way.
Just tried to book, but your booked out lol if I go with same, if I pay for 3 hours do I get 3 hours, only ask as I have had some coaches think 60 min is 45 min
Down to the individual's own interpretation and perception. Emotions are movement. The latin translation is literally energy in motion. How you experience those is down to you 👍

Simply the best better than the rest Marcus
Love the explanation. I gotta say, when I put the up and down in the swing, I hit it fat about 2/3 of the time. Am I doing something wrong maybe?

Great Video Marcus. Reminds me of a quote from Lee Trevino - “There are three faces on a golf club - the club face, your left and right hand.

All swings require vertical force, with the driver it comes in sooner but not forgetting we have to make sure we go down, in order to go up 👍

Where can you buy the Grf mat w arrows on it?
Is this finally the ‘Holy Grail’ ?. Looks like it to me.
I always forget to have looser wrists and forearms which I know can zap power if too stiff. It’s those little things that add up.
For sure 👍

New camera?
Maybe 😉
Genius... It's all natural
It is a little beyond my means to travel from Houston TX USA to Marcus’ Zen Golf facility.
We'll have to get ourselves over your way one day then 😉
When I don’t try to swing so hard and be more relaxed the result is so much better
Putting effort into the right places can often take a lot of perceived tension away
Fregging sweet
If I rush my swing in either direction, l lose control of the club, leading to who knows what.
I feel your pain David, it’s important to remember the ball is stationary, so take your time.
There's a good chance you're applying the force from the upper extremities, difficult to say without seeing anything obviously
That's all very well, but you still haven't told us the correct position at the top of the back swing! Is that in the next episode? 🤣🦎
😂😂 Love this 🦎🦎🦎
Do your wrists unhinge naturally with this swing at impact
