Can't believe how this ties everything together. My hands no longer outrace my stalled body. It also encourages the use of my legs and core to add speed. Also, it eliminates lead hip and knee pain from trying to spin hips to catch up to hands.
Im glad you have had a break through Chris and sounds a very big one at that. Please let me know how you progress, love hearing the feedback, good and bad! Best wishes Stu
Lucid and helpful. Analytically can't be faulted. For those struggling with body rotation as a key element in the swing (including me as a prime 'arms dominant' exponent) this 7 minute segment was a revelation. Thank you, Stuart.
Again Stu, excellent teaching. I keep watching this video over and over and I think I'm seeing the basics of what you're showing us...thank you, regards Trev
From a guy who usually rips golf instruction videos pretty good and thinks he knows 95% of the golf swing….I think you just cleared up the last 5% for me. My praises are few and far between these days but this video is gold buddy!
It's the magic fix!! The shoulders are controlling the arc of the wing and NOT those damn arms and hands. This vid and the one you have done recently on the left shoulder low, right shoulder high (as a lefty it's easy to just switch it around) are without doubt the most eye opening instructions I've seen/heard in the last 10yrs. I would go as far as saying the best ever. Trying this out has been fascinating to watch the strike point change on the clubface as well. Thanks for giving me my golf buzz back.
As an keen student for the past 28 years and been steeped in geting the handle forward and maximising shaft lean, this has opened my eyes to the root cause of many issued i've had with out to in and the dreaded hozel rockets . You seem to teach the principles that Pete Cowan teaches but you explain it more precisely. Would you say that your principles are the same as Cowans. I'm spreading the word about you over here in Orlando ! Keep up the great content
Hi Neil thanks so much for the kind words. With respect to Pete and all the golf coaches out there, I try to stay as far away from them all as possible. I am not familiar with Pete’s work; I’m simply doing my thing and using my experience to share the success I have with client’s daily and my work on the DP World Tour. Not wishing to be evasive but simply share my honesty. Thank you for being here and spreading the word. Best wishes Stu.
You say in many different ways how to push the left hand down and that I can comprehend what you are saying and actually do it and see such great results in my ball striking is quite the complement to your knowledge of the golf swing. Please keep saying it so everyone can benefit as much as I have.
Hopefully this one has released the resistance a little more Jack. Thanks so much for the lovely feedback as ever my friend. Very grateful. Best wishes Stu 😊
In this time of ‘I want it quick’, it can take a while to understand Stu’s process since the solution is not in one video. You need patience and time to watch his process along his channel, then you understand it and trust me, it works wonders. I know this is not a time of patience, but I got sick last week and had time to apprehend the entire thing. This is not your ‘one video fix’ teacher, this is a teacher that, if you can put time on his videos, it will change how you perceive the swing. That will give you confidence and, in the end, you will be able to grab his method and not feel lost. What I feel with other successful internet teachers is that they say white and one year later they say black. I understand you need content, but sometimes it is better to repeat yourself and be coherent than get people lost. Thanks for everything Stu!!
Hi Jose - I hugely appreciate your very very generous feedback. If there are any questions you have, please don’t hesitate to reach out my friend. Best wishes Stu 😊
@@GoodGolfCoaching Thanks Stu! I am improving, but still fat sometimes my irons… I would definitely need a lesson online and maybe visit you in a couple of months (I go back and forth to the UK from Spain)

I could not agree with you more. I was watching this Danny guy (can't remember his last name), and he seems to do exactly what you're talking about, showing different things and then almost contradicting himself, I get confused with him trying all his tricks. Maybe it's just me, I know he gets a lot of views. Stu's method has helped me so much. Pushing the handle down and understanding what the club is actually doing has helped me really grasp the concept of the back swing and the face of the club. The people in my summer golf group commented several times that my swing had really come a long way. That's not saying too much, 😂 but it's helped me really start enjoying
I never thought about his building block technique of teaching until you mentioned it. Many of my natural swing motions without a ball are what he is teaching, then with a ball I keep hearing from my live lessons with other pros that I need to finish high and that doesn't work for me. I am applying Stu's methods with great success and now realize it's building the correct swing for me.
This is another very important piece of the golf swing puzzle. I have always wondered why it seems so hard to get my body moving fast around the ball. The "swing from the inside out" motion makes it almost impossible to move the body quickly. I am adding this drill to the two I am already working on.
I experimented briefly with using the same motion on shorter pitch shots. Seems like a good way to practice the motion and the short game at the same time. Small back-swing, then down and around to the left. Do you feel this swing motion is proper pitch shot technique?
7:28 Simply outstanding. Been a swing it from the inside handle out hack for years….never improving. This is gold. Curious, do you think this feel/move is applicable for driver? Keep up the great content, subscribed & sharing! Thanks Stu💪👍
Hey Jack - absolutely is applicable for driver. Thank you so much for the very kind feedback and glad you’re here! Any questions let me know. Best wishes Stu 😊
Thank you! This concept squares with Jim Hardy’s teaching. Mr. Hardy drew an arc line on the ground representing the path of the club. He drew another arc tracing the line path of the hands. The two lines drew the same arc with the hand line obviously closer to the body. You can create speed if you swing in this circular manner.
I’ve seen this idea alluded to before but never properly explained, until now. Thanks for taking the time to clear this up. Hopefully I can get it to work.
This makes so much sense! I've been struggling how to improve my swing and this explanation definitely helps. Thanks for the great instruction video. You got another subscriber!

Watch countless swing UA-cam. Forensic analysis of impact and understandable . Brilliant. Still casting after 60 years but still working on basics. Thanks for route ahead.
Very interesting! I've been trying to get my shoulders more open at impact. Been watching plenty of videos related to that and trying to find something that resonates with me. This sounds something I cannot wait to try tomorrow!
Hi Thank you for taking the time to make the video, I really enjoyed it which got me thinking. I do not have a problem with speed, but I have a problem with overswinging and across the line because I am a handsy golfer ( hooking the ball). If I was to think more about rotation and left shoulder as an intention, would this hypothetically stop the overswing or does it require a different approach? I am tempted to come and see you (Surrey) or using skillest but the cost is quite a lot plus I have had lessons in the past and after a few sessions revert back because it didn't work on the course. No coach has ever been able to stop my overswing especially with the driver and maintain my current speed. All the best Rhys
Hey Rhys - how about you come and see me. I film the entire one hour session, post up as content on my channel. If I don’t make “significant” if not “fix” your over swing I give you the entire session for free? That’s how much I believe I can fix in one session. Best wishes Stu.
Can't wait to try this. I live in Canada so in the middle of winter here. Hopefully we get some warm days and I can get to the one range that stays open or the actual golf course!!! I took some golf lessons and the pro kept on saying the belt buckle is the camera turn it to the target. Only problem is that without doing the other things you describe here to square the club head....it wouldn't make any difference what I did with my belt buckle. I might look good but the ball would be going all over the place without proper movement of the left shoulder and left hand. Thank you so much for this video as it explains a lot. I am much less confused now!!!!
Music to my ears James.. Understanding is crucial to the commitment to make a change for the better. Please let me know how you get on and hope the snow clears soon! Best wishes Stu 😊

Hi mate of all the videos I have watched there are so many controdictive positions of where your left shoulder should be does my head in .Your video makes more sense . As I always thought there good and bad so called teachers . I am with you
Very good. Tommy Fleetwood has a "windmill" drill that address this. Essential, IMO , is that lead hip getting out of the way for all this to happen. Good vid!
You fixed my "chicken wing"!! I have been improving my swing by focusing on the correct movement of my right shoulder. It's been working, but with inconsistent results because of a stalling left side. This video brought me instant success. The swing through impact requires less effort and naturally accelerates without stalling. This is a feeling I HAVE NEVER HAD IN 40 years of playing golf and several private lessons. As always ,different from run of the Mill Stuart in order to achieve a better left hand grip would you advise reducing grip size? My grips are all standard for M/L hands. Terry.
Thank you very much Terry, appreciate the very kind feedback. With an M/L glove I would stick with no more than one extra layer of tape on the grip size in my opinion. Hope that helps my friend. Best wishes Stu 😊
Understanding that idea that your hands come around your lead hip has transformed my swing. I never understood why I got so "jambed" at ball impact and now I realise I used to swing down and through/high. I've only wasted 3 years.... 😢
Incredible, so easy and insightful explained! Seems like I could have saved a fortune on previous lessons 😅 and time😊 Guess I have to get on a flight from Sweden to see you or rather line up in queue to book a lesson, thank you and enjoy your weekend/ Chris
Thanks so much Chris. I do offer Skillest sessions, if you are familiar with this line of coaching. I’ve had incredible results there, but alternatively, get to the airport 😊
UA-cam algorithm read my mind today as your video popped up in my feed as I’ve been thinking about this after watching the young amateur, Nick Dunlap win yesterday. The content of your lesson was what immediately impressed me about his swing.
Recently, my only swing thought is to visualize the grip of the Club turning around my left knee during and after contact with the ball. It’s helped me quite a bit, especially with irons.
Thanks for that quick response, and letting me ask another, it's about loading or stressing the driver shaft: Sometimes I can feel the shaft load, my ball can carry another 20 yards, sometimes the shaft just feels like it can't bend at all, I use a regular flex, swing speed hovers +/- 100. Could you do something about loading the driver shaft? is that even a thing or is this just my imagination?
that's kinda how i do it by keying on pulling through with the left side of the body, if not i block out to the right i can hit a draw with that action but sometimes a pull so i have to watch out for that. thnx for the help.
Pull through with the left side of the body and this video are two very different applications Steve - try the drill as prescribed and you’ll feel a great deal of difference. Stu 😊
Dear Stu, great informative video, which i obviously had to try. Quick feedback from me: I really felt that I increased the "compression", however the amount of shanks was incredible. I think every 10th shot was a shank ;-) Second miss was a too closed clubface.
Hello Sir, please now go ahead and watch this video to give you the insight into why you are hitting the heel. ua-cam.com/video/fWdIVegjFjw/v-deo.htmlsi=r1BfSzvIYNCxHkdh - Best wishes Stu
I've been hitting golf balls , since 1969. I've only ever had 3 swing thoughts. 1 recentre at p3 2 relax the Trapezius muscles at p4. 3 bend the left leg, into impact : p7.
Well, I know what I'm practicing this winter then Stuart😂 The handle path and open face from the inside has been the vain of my golf for decades, thank you for this brilliant insight😅 I'm also going to try and turn the head through, I'm guilty of looking down to long. Cheers Warren.
You helped me so much in my golf game Stu 🙏 I've watched so many other channels, but yours is far beyond everything I saw. Especially this video was changing so much in my understanding about inside out. 💫 Brilliant explanation for all level of golfers. How can I support you, just to give you something in return? THX
Hi Romain - makes me so proud to hear you have played some good golf on the back of my channel! All I ask is you share with your friends, maybe on social media or even on forums. It all helps my channel grow Sir. Thank you, sincerely. Best wishes Stu
A few years back I had a range session where I was crushing the ball (for me that is - you might not say I was crushing... ). My only swing thought on the down swing was turning the left shoulder back behind me. Is this related to what you're teaching?
If we feel the left hand bring the handle out and down, how does the right hand or arm hit the ball? It’s being done naturally or we have to put pressure on the right hand to hit?
If you watch my very first video in the “grip series” playlist, the role of the right hand is huge in the aid of left hand opposition. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu 😊
My next video will give you more insight into this GG, due to the three planes this level system behaves in. Hope that helps in some way, for now. Best wishes Stu.
I always felt my left shoulder was the problem in my swing. This might be it for me.Tried it out dry and it already felt good.Cant wait to go to the driving range!
@@GoodGolfCoaching 🙏 I discovered and started to work on your system yesterday. Just love the way you've articulate all of it and the new way of looking at pieces of the puzzle you offer here ⛳
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put this into a full swing continuation of how to implement this into a swing. How do I get left hand (path) into that position from the top. I’m so confused I under stand what your saying but I don’t know how to put it in a swing

im 60 years old playing of plus 2, why o why because this is real golf TEACHING! not modern day snowflake static motion golf swing TEACHING. people take notice of this guy,he knows his stuff.............FACT,,,,,,,,,, GOLF BALL DOES NOT LIE!
I tried that and really noticed how tight my golf hips, so if you cannot rotate your hips correctly, you will compensate your upper body in a kinda reverse c fashion forcing your upper body to lift up and the arm gets funky lol

Welcome to the party Lee, the future is bright 😊
Well done UA-cam and well done Nick Dunlap! Thanks for the kind words and hope you enjoyed. Best wishes Stu 😊
Recently, my only swing thought is to visualize the grip of the Club turning around my left knee during and after contact with the ball. It’s helped me quite a bit, especially with irons.
Fantastic to hear!! Great work, any question don’t hesitate to ask my friend. 😊
Thanks for that quick response, and letting me ask another, it's about loading or stressing the driver shaft:
Sometimes I can feel the shaft load, my ball can carry another 20 yards, sometimes the shaft just feels like it can't bend at all, I use a regular flex, swing speed hovers +/- 100.
Could you do something about loading the driver shaft? is that even a thing or is this just my imagination?
It is a “thing” absolutely! Will do a video, absolutely. Many thanks for your request! Best wishes Stu 😊
This video has been very helpful, thanks 👍
My pleasure Stefan - really glad it helped!
that's kinda how i do it by keying on pulling through with the left side of the body, if not i block out to the right i can hit a draw with that action but sometimes a pull so i have to watch out for that. thnx for the help.
Pull through with the left side of the body and this video are two very different applications Steve - try the drill as prescribed and you’ll feel a great deal of difference. Stu 😊
ok, got it, very simple to do.@@GoodGolfCoaching
Yes Sir. 😊
Breaking the golf swing down like an engineer. Well done 👍 liked and subscribed.
Thanks Terry - logical sense and movement backed up with some science 😊
I’d like to see a full swing please. And is this only for irons or can I use it for driver too?
Plenty of videos you’ll see my swing in full.
1 recentre at p3
2 relax the Trapezius muscles at p4.
3 bend the left leg, into impact : p7.
If it works for you David, keep doing it my friend! 😊
Sweet, does this work for driver?
Absolutely it does my friend. Any further questions, let me know! Best wishes Stu 😊
Genius coaching....
Bless you Sir. Thank you. 🙏
In another video you explain that, approching the ball, your hands should be much higher (lorry turning). How many downswings have you got? Thanks
Only one downswing Jean... Hope that helps.
@ does not help much! What is the difference beween the 2?
I’ve never advised two downswings, only one.
That was gold(f). Book marked it for repeat views. Thanks for sharing..
My pleasure. Enjoy, improve and have fun. Best wishes Stu 😊
What you say making a lot of sense, but it would be nice that you take a full swing in slow motion and point out the key move
Will be doing a full swing review soon. Sorry the video disappointed you. Best wishes Stu
Lots of interesting ideas… thanks
Thanks Walter!!
Nice🎉
Thank you!
Brilliant content once again Stuart,👍
Hugely appreciate that Lawrence.
Thank you Stu, great video, regards Trev
Thanks so much Trev - glad you enjoyed my friend. Stu 😊
Headed for the range to try this out.
Let me know how you go Mark!
Well, I know what I'm practicing this winter then Stuart😂
The handle path and open face from the inside has been the vain of my golf for decades, thank you for this brilliant insight😅
I'm also going to try and turn the head through, I'm guilty of looking down to long.
Cheers Warren.
Haha that’s winter all sorted then!! Please let me know how you get on and any questions just ask my friend! 😊
Sure, its related, not the full story, but if it works for you, go with it! Glad the video brought back some memories. Best wishes Stu
Another nice pair of kicks ! and great coaching too….!
Essential to have good kicks Chris! Thanks bud, glad you enjoyed 😊
Wow, a must try tips.. 👍
Thank you Sir, and yes they are. Please let me know how you get on with them! Best wishes Stu 😊
That is good coaching!
Thanks Frank! Much appreciated my friend. 😊
Thanks stu
My pleasure. 😇
RIGHT ON......
Amen and I that!
Is whipping that left shoulder around parametric acceleration? Thanks for sharing 😅😅
My next video will give you more insight into this GG, due to the three planes this level system behaves in. Hope that helps in some way, for now. Best wishes Stu.
Wow
What a great video tip
Your awesome
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback! My pleasure. Best wishes Stu 😊
I always felt my left shoulder was the problem in my swing. This might be it for me.Tried it out dry and it already felt good.Cant wait to go to the driving range!
Love to hear this!! Let me know how you get on my friend! Best wishes Stu
Is it the same for driver ?
Absolutely Paul 😊
Great insight thank's 👌
My pleasure my friend - thank you so much for sharing your kind thoughts. Best wishes Stu
@@GoodGolfCoaching 🙏 I discovered and started to work on your system yesterday.
Just love the way you've articulate all of it and the new way of looking at pieces of the puzzle you offer here ⛳
Bless you, it’s appreciated. Trying to educate as much as give fast, quick tips. Super happy you’re here and enjoying.
Thank you very much ☺
My huge pleasure - and thank you for being here. Best wishes Stu 😊
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put this into a full swing continuation of how to implement this into a swing. How do I get left hand (path) into that position from the top. I’m so confused
I under stand what your saying but I don’t know how to put it in a swing
Hi Michael thanks the very kind message my friend. I have a video just for you… ua-cam.com/video/-HC1A8SzOS8/v-deo.htmlsi=eqIbZW5_fFd37QJW - this will help answer all your questions. Best wishes Stu
Would like to have seen video and comments on transitioning from drill to full swing.
Watch more of my content and you’ll get exactly that.
Johnny Millers best tip, make sure left shoulder passes through where it was at address
Fantastic insights James, thanks for sharing! Best wishes Stu 😊
very good video
Thanks so much Gary, grateful for your feedback.
This is very interesting. It looks like Hogan's low left finish!!!
Glad you like the look of it! Best wishes Stu
This is great imagery Stu and so easy to follow, thanks Mate (hope the courses defrost tomorrow!)
Thanks Dunc, fingers crossed my friend!
What about stack and tilt?
What about it Paul?
And where comes the Speed from? From the Hops,or the armes ? Please give me an explane.Thank you🙏
From the shoulders and the legs Franz. Please watch more of my videos. Best wishes Stu 😊
You should open a SC academy in NYC
Haha let’s talk, let’s make it happen! 😂😂
What about bowing your left wrist? Shouldn’t this correct the club head angle to square to the ball?
Bowing your left wrist is the worst thing you could ever do... take a look. ua-cam.com/video/Q6Ct7efjvqA/v-deo.htmlsi=1PEDs_W0HW43WFcH
Makes so much sense.
Great work.
Grateful Aussie.
Thank you.
for irons & driver
Yes Sir 😊
im 60 years old playing of plus 2, why o why because this is real golf TEACHING! not modern day snowflake static motion golf swing TEACHING. people take notice of this guy,he knows his stuff.............FACT,,,,,,,,,, GOLF BALL DOES NOT LIE!
Thank you so much John, very kudos I appreciated! Best wishes Stu 😊
The last time I hit balls
I got the feeling that my left arm was pinned to my left pec until after impact.
Is this the correct feeling??
Certainly a feel that would be sympathetic with this video, yes Pat. Best wishes Stu 😊
Eh, Luckier every day ! U R an amazing communicator. Thank you.
Haha seems that way! My pleasure, and truly grateful for your very kind feedback. Best wishes Stu 😊
I tried that and really noticed how tight my golf hips, so if you cannot rotate your hips correctly, you will compensate your upper body in a kinda reverse c fashion forcing your upper body to lift up and the arm gets funky lol
Thanks for sharing Philip!
Listen to Stuart! He offers a wealth of valuable insights. Make sure to watch all his videos to uncover the golden nuggets that will help you understand the necessary changes to elevate your game. 🎉
Thanks Peter - really appreciate the kind feedback my friend. Best wishes Stu
Great, straight forward explanation..😂..stressdr.
Thank you Martin!
