One of the things that I'd wish interviewers would ask the devs a bit more about is the need to synergize: we already know that mashing a single skill over and over will not be the way to go. But I feel that if you just have 5 skills that have no synergy between them, it'll end up being as bad as spamming 1 skill over and over. The need for synergy seems to come in different aspects such as: freeze then shatter, ignite then explode, remove armor then stun, etc. I wish we could get a bit more info on how much stronger / easier the game becomes when good synergy is found, and if there are consequences for having anti-synergy? I.e. if you hit a frozen enemy with a fire skill, do they become unfrozen instantly or does it not affect it at all?
Some skills will add buffs and interact with your other skills. Frostbolt can be spammed but deals 500% damage to frozen enemies, another ability can freeze chilled enemies etc.
I think people keep forgetting that there're 100+ bosses, each boss looks like it takes minutes to kill, if we're going to die 3-5 times per boss our first time playing through the campaign, I can easily see a LOT of time being sunk there.
