The Last Summer (Story Behind the Song + Live Acoustic)

The Last Summer started in my kitchen, where there's an old piano that I try and learn how to play occasionally. I was playing Secret Garden by Bruce Springsteen over and over, the descending piano line - how it always denoted a sense of loss to me. I don't know if that's what the boss intended, but his music always reminds me of growing up. I was thinking about the relationship between universals and specifics, that everybody grows up, but the images and symbols are unique to each one of us.
