- #1 Oklahoma vs #5 Florida State in a top 5 early season match up.
OU wins it 23 to 13 with a touchdown in the 4th quarter and an interception that leads to a field goal for the 10 point lead.
Looking back at this game 4 years later, both defenses played out of their minds this game. Rashad Greene was a baller from the very beginning.
Tom Wort was a bully. Wish OU still had players like him. He was a beast
Thanks, but the point of this video was to show the highlights of the entire game, not just one team. I was trying to make a video for people that may have missed the game and wanted to see all the major highlights. Thank you for the suggestion though.
I’m a Sooners fan but I watch the entire video to see highlights for BOTH teams. I don’t discriminate.
As a FSU fan that was at this game. This was my favorite losing game I’ve ever been to. I think Doak Campbell Stadium was the most packed it’s ever been and though FSU was #5 they were not a top 5 team, maybe top 15, and OU was wayyy better than being ranked #1, this OU team was like an NFL caliber college team. The fact FSU gave competition was incredible.
You can count on mediocrity when coach stoopid was in charge. Top, maybe even the best talent in college football, but played not to lose in most big games.
I will never understand how EJ Manuel was a 1st round pick.
I will never understand how some people have to be flaming assholes and make a really retarded comment like this ELEVEN YEARS LATER! If this schmuck had a working brain cell, he'd know that (1) EJ deserved to be a 1st round pick for what he did on the field and (2) lots of great college QB's never made it in the NFL, smh.
should have been OUs ball on the 20 on that endzone hit.
@11:30 Was the loudest I have ever heard that stadium... needless to say we all lost our voices that night. It was a great game though :)
I was also at this game but I would pick 1989 FSU-Miami as having the loudest crowd ever. However, what made this game stand out was how long and how loud the cheers kept coming...especially when OU was playing in the shadow of its endzone and the punter struggled to get his kick off because of the noise. THAT was an ear buster!
Watching the game again, I still say Kenny Shaw scored a TD that the refs waived off. The ball didn't come out of his hands until he hit the turf way past the goal line.
@@TheDrRJP I went back and watched that moment frame by frame, but it's not a touchdown. He loses the ball before the ball crosses the line while he's in the air, at least from the angle presented. If you look at it frame by frame, you can see Javon Harris (OU #30) knocked it out of his arms while he was in the process of falling. I can definitely see why you would think it didn't pop out of his arms until after he hit the ground, though, because it really looks that way if the video is just playing as normal.
im a sooner fan and i agree
I miss these days
Well as a OU fan i think OU would win again. But i give props to FSU who played a hell of a game and proved they were worthy of being in the Top 5. I think they will be back in the top 5 by seasons end and playing in a BCS bowl as the ACC champs. Good luck vs Clemson
Your comments were very prophetic since two years later, FSU not only won it all but had one of the gretest football teams in CFB history.
@@TheDrRJPand we beat OU this past year
I know it was our only touchdown of the game but that was the loudest I have ever screamed at a game. Watch out for Rashad Greene #80, a true freshman. Next year.....we will be LOADED!!
here's a tip, when it's a big game like this, show all of the highlights. great game, hope to see you guys again soon. had a great tim in norman, and a great time when you lot came to tally.
Did anyone else see the hold on the first play
Landry Jones is a definite 1st rounder next year, as is Travis Lewis.
wonder why Bama wouldn't schedule games like this?
Charles Surber Bama tried.. Nobody would play them. In 2012 they reached out to Oregon, Oklahoma State, and Notre Dame for a home and home series.. All declined stating interference with traditional games.. this would be for the 2015 year... They would end up meeting and whipping ND for the National Championship.. Coincidence??
@@Thel2552 picking teams who schedule creampuffs as well. Hmm
@@themadlad8540 when youre Alabama... everyone else IS a creampuff... Mad yet?
yea its betr to show both team highlights
holakyle has this but only ou so go check that 1 out if u didnt
@redtop91 I'm sure losing to Texas Tech at home doesn't make you look very good either...
Here we are again December 29th
I bet that spear'll do ya alotta good against an old-fashioned RUF/NEK shotgun.
BOOMER SOONER
@redtop91 Your judging it by the line that espn makes on the field. Never go by that line. Its not accurate and the commentators even say that. He is clearly onsides. He is lined up just barely onsides just like every other D line in football.
just a tip when you make more highlight videos, only show the team that won highlights.
Chris Cook I
@breadlebees are you blind? how about the helmet to helmet? ur lucky fsu didnt get the ball first down inside the 10
1:08 One of the 10+ times that night that FSU DE's were offsides. Also, I'd appreciate it if FSU would stop sucking it up like they always do. Beating you at home was supposed to make us look good and you're messing that up by losing to trash like Wake Forest.
See fsu now bet well beat that asd
And coach stoopid squanders another great team to his mediocrity.
