- The No. 13 Florida State Seminoles came back to defeat the Oklahoma Sooners, 35-32, in the Cheez-It Bowl on Thursday. Seminoles QB Jordan Travis threw for 418 YDS & 1 TD while Treshaun Ward rushed for 81 YDS & 2 TD in the win.

Congrats to Florida State for a fantastic year. You guys had some rough ones recently. Definitely earned and deserved this 10 win season. As an OU fan I was very happy with the fight our guys showed. There’s been some really good bowl games recently this year. This was one of them for sure.

This reminded me of many games we had against OU and Nebraska during the 80s and early 90s. They would average 50 yards passing per game throughout the year and show up in the bowl game and all of a sudden have a 200+ yard passing attack. Beating UF, Miami, LSU, and OU in the same year is a very special thing. We would have won 6 or 7 national championships during the Bowden era if not for one or more of these teams. Congratulations to Mike Norvell and his team. Well done.
And nice to finally beat OU since the only other time we have was when we first played them in 1965.
Yeah I always look back on the Bowden era with dissatisfaction. Can’t believe 14 top 5 finishes only resulted in 2 titles.

Being a fan and watching us go from 0-4 last season to 4-0 this season, that alone made me proud. Then ending the season 10-3. Coach Norvell is doing an absolutely fantastic job with this team and where it is heading. I got my die heart gator fan momma at an FSU game this season. Go Noles!

As a fsu alum and season ticket holder since 2004.. Makes me super happy.. The whole family went to fsu.. Including my parents and siblings. And now my 2 daughters and 1 son go to FSU. My wife went to fsu too.. A true FSU family.. Parents went to FSU as well.. Go noles..

Love how Mike Norvell has them playing the right way. Hardnosed football. Well-prepared. No hotdogging. Just going out there and taking care of business. I still think the defense needs to be a little more consistent but overall they had a heck of a season.
This is one of the very few occasions everyone should just settle down and enjoy a great football game. Forget about records and money and opt-outs and expectations. It's bowl season.

It seems to me that Oklahoma couldn't get it together at the end once again 4 quarter nightmare.

@@jondoe406 i hate players and or coaches that stop giving it 100% til last whistle no matter the score or situation....you never know what can happen...plenty of plays in history from that spot on the field have become miracles....you gotta know what time is on the clock and the gameplan at all times and if it's a fact of not knowing...your game intelligence/knowledge is your responsibility

Was a good game to watch. I am an Oklahoma fan, but as soon as we posted that holding penalty and had the touchdown taken down that would have made it 21-3, I knew FSU would win. Oklahoma wasn't good enough this year to overcome its mistakes and it was a common theme all year. Congratulations to Florida St, you guys did a great job!
Proud of those Boyz a very good season they made a huge turn around from last few seasons this game was a shootout and my Noles stood strong

Oklahoma and FS have a history, the last time Oklahoma won the championship they beat FS. Oklahoma looked pretty good. Even though OU lost they looked like winners. Oh they’ll be back.

Norvell has come a long way. Has coached his way to a P5 team as HC. Been a fan since he was OC for the Sundevils(not a fan). Don't be surprised when the Noles go to the ship within 4 years.

You mean like playing against a team that wasn't ranked that finished the regular season at 6-6 and they had several key starters that opted out for this game, therefore, OU was playing server second string and a third string player on their starting team, especially the offensive line.

FSU had a great season. Beating then #5 LSU, and rivals Florida and Miami (45-0j. Top it off with this nice bowl win. They are looking like the best team in the ACC

@@slappinsteve3852 chill we went 10-3 son after years of being the joke of the ACC and CFB in general, FSU football was always dominant it's nice to be back, no they're not the 2013/14 team but they got something good going, FSU made the adjustments and won the game a win is a win keep hating !
Even though OU didn't win this game it did show out. Don't think too many teams will be looking forward to playing the Sooners in '23. OU's poor season was due to inexperience, lack of depth, and below average defense. As of late March '23 the Sooners have addressed most of those areas and scored big time with the portal. We're comin! And BV knows it. Soon the rest of college football will know it. But actually its a great position to be in. We're not expected to do much ( mostly because of that 6-7 season in '22). Watch out CFP!
