- This is an Eu4 Guide on the nation of EU4 Cusco forming EU4 Inca in just a few years. A true EU4 speedrun for reforming the Incan religion and for forming the eu4 inca nation
The Eu4 Cusco has really good eu4 cusco ideas and later on eu4 inca ideas, both of which are quite good and can stand up to european powers such as eu4 castile eu4 aragon eu4 england eu4 portugal or any other eu4 colonizers or better yet eu4 colonial powers

EU4 1.31 Leviathan Has changed for sure how Eu4 Cusco or even eu4 inca is played, with eu4 inca being a formable nation that has a few new monuments
If you took the time to go through the description, thank you for doing so, and write down in the comments section something that includes the word '''cusco'' but make it look as part of a natural sentence, this way I know you're cool, not like those non-description-reading virgins. You're a special kind of virgin, a true virgin, a lord of virginity.

Forming Inca is one of the most underplayed unique experiences in the game. Same goes for Aztecs and Maya. Luve it :3
Very true! All are insanely great nations to play as!
they all also happen to be very boring
@@mr.smiley1652 in 1.30 aztec was a hell of a Nation, now you need to wait for europeans again that sucks but boring? Disagree bro
I remember doing it my first time (blind without guides). It ended up with me juggling vassalizing and stealing provinces from neighbors, even those who were non-cobeligerent. I basically had 0 manpower, 0 admin and in general just horrible tech, the only thing keeping me afloat was the fact that i short term fixed all problems by dev'ing my provinces for extra gold or manpower per month. I blobbed crazy fast, having horrible unrest at all times (also stability cuz you know, reforming is minus 2 stab). Even tho i had Merc companies I was carried by all the army tradition i got by killing rebels 24/7. But mind you, i was 3 and at times 4 mil tech behind at one point. Had I not paused my blobbing I would surely have crumbled as I did at this point lose with 18k armies vs 7k stacks from enemies lol.
This fast expansion tho did give me high total dev sum early so I reformed crazy early. I think I reformed when I Portugal had arrived, which at that point was tech 8 or 9.
Reformed and strong, I went to form Inca empire and drowned in manapoints ;) For some reason also I had 0%ahead/behind modifyer to tech cost? Maybe bugged or intentional?
Rest of the game I just kept bullying Spain and Portugals colonies for easy blobbing.
I think I was rank 1 on scoreboard in 1490 or 1500. This was my first "great campaign" and I really felt I juggled all perfectly, although unknowingly and accidental.
Idk what the optimal strat for Cusco is, but if you want a "stressful fast blob" early game followed by an autopilot steamroll campaign I'd def reccomend the strat i explained. I played this campaign on my 150th hour I think, and it truly was a game where I learned a lot from managing near-disaster situations. Playing in Europe after that campaign I was just Soo much better as a player in general.
@@mr.smiley1652 I had alot of fun with inca getting the sungod achievement. Reformed as fast as possible conquered all neighbours and rushed exploration and expansion ideas. Ended up vassalising the prirate states of the carribean and feeding them the whole carribean and much of North America.
Fight the wanka
Many English smiles were had at this sentence.
Ahahah glad to hear it :D
*Australian as well
@@StrategySphere what does huila mean xD
Even some Canadian smiles!
@@LudietHistoria хуйло. Something like dickhead =)
Cuzco was the first country I ever played.
When the Europeans arrived I realised that tech level is a thing, rather than just development.
How much was your development?
@@ballersigmaohioskibidi a lot. Like a massive amount, the only other thing I spent it on war wars and coring.
Great thumbnail
Hi hoi4 man i first 2 likes i big fans
Great thumbnail indeed! I love it :-)
Thank you m'lord
Oh Inca, the nation where fighting your neighbors is the easy part, fighting your rebels is the medium part, and getting attacked by the nr 1 great power over and over and over every time your truce ends is the hard part.
You should be able to reform as soon as the colonial nations arrive though and then natch their tech fairy soon
having max force limit army tends to prevent them from attacking me
0:05 yep that is definately south america
I was wondering if anyone was gonna mention that lol.
Wait is it not? #shockedface

"The Nation of Wanka-" Admit it, you almost said wanker
i wanted to, im a dirty dirty boy
I tried Cusco the other day. I didn't know how important religion reformation was so I postponed it a bit. Everything was going great and I formed Inca and was dominating western south america until the europeans appeared and Spain and Great Britain took turns kicking my ass. Inca didn't stand a chance. Just like IRL, I guess. I might try another run at Cusco after watching your video.
@@therealzizmon1748 *Acts like they wouldn't lose 90% of their population in EU4 as well
I got near destruction too from spain, but after the 2nd war I could attack their colony instead of spain itself so I took everything back in one war as colonial territory is cheap, You can eat 3 times more than in Europe. If you get the reform before they kill you you can kill them. But maybe they fixed the bugs as attacking their colony didn't call their master to war which felt stupid and too easy. But with the reform with can fight everyone because they need to land and usually aren't good enough at landing.
@@kami6401 They lost it progressively after a few decades. The Spanish formed a web of alliances against the hated Inca, it wasn't Spain sending armies or anything like that.
95% of of the army where native allies, they then took over command of the empire and its administration in place of the Inca, and legitimized their rule through intermarriage with the native elites of each nation and region, promising them autonomy and independence FROM the Inca.
It was only after the waves of plague that most of the survivors of the native nations where the children of the intermarriages (obvious to us now ofc) and they took over as leaders "Curacas" and solidified Spanish control even more.
That's why initially the Spanish settled in very important native cities like Cuzco or created new ones close to their native allies, mostly on the coast like Lima and Trujillo. Chan Chan which was the capital of the Chimú was in used even 60 years after "conquest" liberated and restored after being pillaged several times by the Inca, before being abandoned in favor of Trujillo which had a become more important by then.
Its not by chance that today's heart of Peruvian culture is not the Andean region but the Pacific coastal plain where most of the population today lives, and most of the cities and industries are located.
@@celdur4635 You’re mixing up the Inca and the Aztecs a bit there.
@@Prodigi50
Trust me, i'm not.
If anything its an unfair comparison. The Aztec were a city-state while the Inca ruled over an area of 2 million km2, many nations, many cities and in very varied terrain.
Your editing and humor are so goofy in an endearing way. Great guide and keeping it fun like always.
thank you so much darryl ^^
South American continent
*shows Africa*
Heh, the humor is on that level again
As a Peruvian it's always fun hearing people pronounce place names. At least you didn't have to deal with Quechua orthography or that would have been very interesting (I don't even really know it).
Anyways as my ancestors would say, "Tawa canal Limamanta pacha".
STELLARIS GUIDE WHEN????
We need a better mission tree for the Incas....also there was a naval power called Chincha close to the Lima province, paradox call really make some new tags and events there.
The new world mission tree is ridiculous compred to new dlc mission trees
You forgot to mention that Ptosi is the most valuable province in the game, because it has a monument that, at max level, gives *+3 goods produced* on a *GOLD MINE!!!*
Literal buckets of ducats right there.
That's equivalanet to 9 production-dev right? Except the mine does not deplete from it, damn.
Ahh la Villa Imperial, el paraíso del extractivismo de la América española
@@viorp5267 15 dev I think
oh shit I forgot to keep that in the edit, you're right Q_Q
@@viorp5267 yeah, that doesn't factor into depletion. So you can have a 10 production dev gold mine with +3 goods produced. I think it can crank out like 30 ducats a month or something like that.
Ngl the incans should actually deserve a more unique mission to give them claims
love playing with Cusco/Inca my record is to unite the Inca home region by 1455 and with an ADM Advisor tax increase+10% stage 1 later 2 and 3. I reached the middle american region in 1478 and conquered it around 1510. Sometimes you're lucky and you can reform the religion before 1500 and sometimes unfortunately only later.
A new Inka video where you do a rush and conquer South America and get the achievement would be very cool and worth seeing.
Anyway, thanks a lot for all the videos and hard work. Without you i would still be playing EU4 with cash 9999999 and yesman 🤣
Haven’t even seen the video yet,
Wanted to say that your videos brings joy and happiness to my day.
Thanks for the free entertainment ludi.
Thank you very much for the kind words Nikolaos, I really appreciate comments like yours, makes my day better too ^_^^
I tried cusco once and i realised why the spanish were so threatening back then. I formaed inca and had a solid 70k troops until spain arrived in 1520. i fought some of their colonies victoriusly but then they declared war and decimated my entire nation. armies of 15k would struggle against 1k regiments. I got super lucky they pieced out only taking 5 provinces that didn't have gold
Inca is one of my favorite games. I get so triggered when I see noobs on forums telling people not to focus on gold. You have to embrace the inflation. Become one with the inflation. Love the inflation
Edit: the real reason to avoid concentrating development is your capital Cuzco is gold. The mine will collapse and all your concentrated development will be destroyed.
Yeah. Gold is better than tax, worse than trade. But it takes a while for trade to go up, and good is available at the start. I see it as a trade off - more money early game for more inflation late game. That's a trade I'll easily take, as money is only an issue early game.
Only problem I have with gold? If colonizing or blobbing well, I often don't have the points to spare (exploration as Oman took a lot of money and a lot of diplo points, especially since I vassalized and diplo-annexed multiple nations. Legalism alone kept me afloat).
i love ur guides everyday i learn new things
Maya campaign is fun in extended timeline. Sure, you basically go afk for 1000 years of gameplay but when Europe opens to you, you start wrecking bawls
Great video as always! Thank you Ludi :-)

Very informative video, I love it!
Great thumbnail too :)
Inspired by your video, I started an Inca game. Things go very smooth, reformed easily from Castillan Colombia.
My question is where should I move capital in Central or South America to better control the trade as well? Caribbean?
oh yeah, that gave me a nice idea. i thought about it too in my current cusco - inca play. i'll try moving it to caribbean
Just putting this here so it shows up on Ludi stream ^.^
Holding your monarch points instead of investing on tech is a lot better as natives, because when you reform you get some tech from the Europeans, and then with your power points you can catch up completely with lower tech cost

Hello from Cusco LUDI!
Colonizing south first might be better because You can get a lot of gold mines
This is random, but I came across some YT comments claiming Ludi plays on easy when he records these videos because they couldn't believe the RNG that he was getting. I find it funny that Ludi has haters on UA-cam lol.
While rebel discipline scales with nation discipline, the same is not true for morale. Taking morale to have it better against rebels is legit.
a solid 50% of all my euiv games have been Inca/Cusco since I got the game tbh
That bit where you show your new rig, where can I watch the full stream?
Wars on the roof of the world
True yes, high plateau wars sir
I had ton of fun in my Inca game. I put all of the Americans under my rule and even reverse colonized the europeans. For some reason they were extremely weak and I never had any trouble dealing with them. The hardest part was honestly to land in Spain (because apparently they formed an ultimate hugbox and Spain had the whole of western Europe under PU). Probably the funniest stuff about playing as Inca though is how many goldmines you have at your disposal. I had 24 provinces with gold production and until the 1700s gold was my major source of income.
Those PU are fun times as it's the only times the AI can repel your attacks, otherwise it's boredom from the Inca no real enemies.
@@MrManiac360 yup, it was one of the only times I had to interupt a war against AI. Had to return later with more ships and troops

theres a very high chance that you can attack the wankers
Yes, give it.
Hello I love your videos, please turn on CC (Closed Captions) for this video. Thank you
Inca is OP, last time I played it was so easy, the hardest part is the reform, once done you are done, game is over everyone is weaker than you, expansion is easy, just kill everyone, Colonial nation won't be able to fight you; if they even resist, in my game they just let me eat all of south america, no resistance.

@Ludi, you can embrace institutions without having an European nation next to you. You just vasalize one of the nomadic tribes in the north or in the south (adjacent to your border), spawn the institution in you empire and they will embrace it = thus, you can reform ✌️
How do you spawn it in, just with development?
