      Ottoman indeed made Egypt eyalet in 3 years so that isn't broken at all, it was so annoying fighting against them 4-5 times. But Hungary becoming eyalet in a single war that's broken as fuck lol! They should bring an eyalet development system that you can still establish an eyalet with half of the country and capture other half in other wars. It was actually what happened with Hungary, most of it became Ottoman eyalet while some parts joined Austrians

    The Sublime Porte was their diplomatic "nickname" (like the Peacock Throne for Iran, the Dragon Throne for China, the Court of St. James for England/UK, the Kremlin/Winter Palace for Russia) because their Foreign Office was based next to one of the gates of the Topkapi Palace, called, you guessed it, the Sublime Porte (gate). Most countries have those, although most modern republics boringly use their capital's names as theirs.

    Janissaries weren't a separate elite army rather they were a part of Ottoman standing army which was called Kapıkulu army. It had Janissary corps (Infantry division), Kapıkulu cavalry division, topçu ocağı (artilery division), cebeci ocağı (supply division), even lağımcılar (drillers) had their own division even if they only supposed to dig tunnels under enemy fortifications. That's why Ottoman standing army was so successful against European armies as it had unmatched organization and discipline in it's time. Ottoman also had timar holder army which was more like European levy system that land owners would cover needs of some soldiers. They would act like local force in peace and would be levied during war. And ofc because Turks were nomadic people vast majority of timar soldiers were light cavalry called Sipahi. For example in 1475 there were 6,000 Janissaries and 40,000 Sipahis in Ottoman army. And because vast majority of Ottoman foot soldiers were from infantry division, Janissaries they played important part in literally all sieges and gained huge political power in time. Still they were greatly outnumbered and couldn't control Ottoman politics much for centuries until their numbers kept increasing and increasing. First their children were allowed to join the corps. Then Muslim children mostly orphans, not long after it completely became voluntary and devshirme system got abolished. In 17-18th century the corps had hundreds of thousands members and the worst part most of them weren't even soldiers rather merchants etc! Ofc Janissaries who joined wars were getting paid way more but still Ottoman was paying all Janissary members and emptying it's treasure. To battle this Ottoman reduced their peace time salary insanely and increased their war time salary and share from the loot, but as a result Janissaries became quite war-like and rebelled several times because there was too long peace period lol..

      They are very weak at the begining compared to previous DLC, I didn't understand why but it seems the AI rush for mil Idea and are behind in the mil tech, which almost never happened before. Also their estates were all disloyal when I tag switch. I never seen them so weak, I played Venice and manage to beat them so easily, it was a piece of cake. Then I still had enough manpower to get almost all coastal province from the Mamluk, and they were much stronger than the Ottomans. AI is weak for the Ottoman, France and Brandenburg seems strong though, and Muscovy also. The only weak link seems to be the Ottoman as far as I can tell. NOTICE: When you declare war on the Mamluks you HAVE to use the conquest war goal. Any other war goal will not allow you to trigger the event. I notice in the video you selected it for seemingly no reason but that is very important to trigger these events you must be using that war goal. I tried it with a reconquest wargoal and wasted years on my game.

  • @BrkCntkn
    @BrkCntkn Рік тому +1

    Well Ramazan rhymes with Ramadan because it is how you say Ramadan in Turkish, so those two words are exactly the same thing. Ramazan and Dulkadir are named after their founding fathers. Ramazanoğulları (Sons of Ramazan) and Dulkadiroğulları (Sons of Dulkadir). In addition although your pronounciation of Candar is way better than other content creators it's still lacking a bit. "C" in the beginning is not pronounced like "CH" but rather "J". Like when you say James. So you can read it as "Jandar". It would be the correct way of saying it.
