Im still rocking my 42MM silver stainless steel series 0 with the meilanese loop - its trucking along no problem! Still looks stylish and remains great at being a watch and a notification delivery system. I have no apps on it and do not use it for activity tracking. Its perfect!
Just dusted off my 1st gen from storage. Still working & comparable with iOS 17 with iPhone 14 Pro. As long as it tells the time & allows payment I’m happy. Hope the battery lasts most of the day.
I used to use first gen Apple Watch until 2022 but its main problems were app support, general performance and battery life, except those problems it was still usable and rockin' :) (now I'm using Series 7 and if I compare with Series 0 main difference is just battery and performance).

@@0k.ap05 It didn’t update. Just worked with the latest update I had done in 2020 or 2021 when I used it last time. And my icloud remember it from before 🙂
My original stainless steel gen1 with Milanese Loop is still my daily wear since 2015. I use it for workouts but can’t swim with it. No scratches or dings and battery still lasts all day. Only issue I’ve had is the glass fell out a few years back. Got a huge quote to repair it, but I carefully super glued it back for free and it still looks good and does most things (but not all) I expect from a smartwatch. I’ve been holding out for glucose monitoring which may never happen. Tempted now by the Ultra, but would still keep this for dressy occasions.
I do. I thought it was so fucking dumb that people bought that thing because I new that the watch was going to get better and better every year, and that getting new hardware was going to be worth it.
I just upgraded from the stainless steel series 0 42mm, to the Apple Watch SE 44mm. All I can say is wow. Apple Watches sure have come a long ways. Main reason I upgraded was battery life and performance. My watch would notify me minutes after a text was received, but would lack their contact info, emojis, and picture cards. The battery was abysmal, it would last roughly 8hrs before dying. However, I did own it for almost 8 years so it’s safe to say I got my money’s worth. Loving my SE so far!
@OSReviews-hi there, I am a watch collector and I really want to get the series 0 but can I still pair it with the latest i phone of today. Also, what if I want to replace the battery?
yep. im using Iphone 14 PM with the latest version of ios (ios 17) to pair with my 1st gen apple watch i got for free from a friend and it works perfectly fine
at 5:02, you mention that pairing with newer phones "definitely still works", but the reason i'm watching this video is that it hasn't worked for me for years. Even pairing requires a software update on the watch, and if I try to update it just says "loading software update" and never gets out of that screen. I'm just trying to use my series 0 as a standalone step counter and heart rate sensor, it's so frustrating that I can't even open the home screen because it's insisting on a software update that isn't even possible. does anybody have any advice on how to get past this? do i need to try to pair to it on airplane mode, or with a phone that has an older iOS?
Subscribed 👌 👍 Very few UA-camrs are covering the 'Old is Gold' (& Cheap) devices now a days, when every year the same product is launched with minor indistinguishable incremental improvements that no one uses anyways, giving a look back at what the older devices can still do is a reflection in consumerism and our choices ‼
To think the apple watch series one had a bigger screen then the current pixel watch 🤦🏻♂ Near same ppi too. Google almost a decade behind the competition.
lol my 2010 "apple watch" has a battery that lasts 3-4 weeks and has a headphone jack that i put a little bluetooth adaptor into which has its own battery and doesnt drain my battery. i charge it about once per month. imagine how much battery life things could have if they didnt spy on us all the time. o and by watching a 5 minute youtube video you can learn how to detect afib with ur finger... HR monitor is meh. theres a video on my channel about it . its about 1/3rd the chunkiness of the current apple watches :|

great video, there are a lot of people out there that maybe can only afford older devices and it is nice to see a reviewer that addresses this need

Keep the relics safe!
My series 3 still alive & kicking 😊 Battery not too bad. It can go a whole day w/o charging. Cool video thanks.
I have apple watch s1 still with me and joint with iphone 12 still work good
How long it last?
Same. It is paired to my 12 mini.
How long does it last?
Do you know how to check the battery health on an Apple Watch 0 gen? Had a look can’t seem to find it it’s not in the settings like later models

does spotify work on apple watch 1st gen? Or No

The animation still look amazing
I saw Original Apple Watch Series 1 From Online Shopping Site..But I Just Wanted To Know If This Is Still Support Spotify? This Is All I Need
Unfortunately no
Mine had the snake of death screen for years until today when I popped it in the charger. I’m so happy but it’s microscopic compared to the ultra
Oh and dose this work with iOS 16
This is still one of the most influential pieces of tech
I actually had this watch up until today and it worked fine for me but was slow

The main reason is that the watch system is too old to match the mobile phone of the current high version system.

Can it be used for camera monitoring?
