I've got a samsung galaxy watch 5 (released in 2022!) and the bezels are equally gigantic
@@glower28 Dude I switched from this first gen to the 8th when that came out. Its still kicking sitting right beside me right now actually. I take it out when I am running and stuff- it really is kinda too slow and clunky for everyday use at this point. and yes, I got an 11 as well.
Hands down Apple’s best product reveal video ever. And Tim looks genuinely excited lol
It’s my favorite piece of technology ever. I just got an AW Ultra 2. It’s amazing to see how far it’s come in a decade.

@@DeRock401 Yeah I daily the series 1 now and it does everything I want it to, ends the day on 70% battery, had it since release.
I had the Series 3 and now I bought Series 10. I’m not gonna lie, it changed in terms of size and some small details, but the watch is still very much the same. Not sure about the Ultra
It's funny to see how the Apple Watch has progressed. The OS used a black colour based user interface and the OLED to hide the fact that the watch didn't actually have an edge-to-edge design and it worked well. I didn't find WatchOS that good back then but it's improved a lot since.

I see a lot of comments talking about the bezels and the OS and how much has changed, but what's amazing to me is how much they got right from the beginning. Many of those band designs (and the swapping mechanism) have all endured for nearly a decade now.
I miss Jonny Ive. No one did it like him. ❤
And live keynotes. Miss those as well.... I even remember the first time when they did their online only event during lockdown (for the iPhone 12 reveal) they did some recorder sections on stage on the Steve Jobs Theater, without any crowds ofcourse. Funny that was the last time we would ever see that now almost 5 years later.
I remember seeing this come out as a kid and I wanted one so badly. Thank God I got to live out that boyhood fantasy at age 19 in 2021 with the Apple Watch Series 3.

I sure miss Apple live stream keynotes. They always made them so much more exciting back then. And watching these watches today they still look so spectacular even now.
I was never sold on the watch until I got one in my hands. Apple not only killed the smartwatch market. They owned it. The fact that we have so many different watches now it’s great.
I remember getting this one and my coworker saying she wasn’t going to get one until they added LTE to it, and I said “mkay like that’s gonna happen “ and here we are LOL it’s so cool how much Apple Watch has progressed and how many people have one nowadays!!

Apple makes the best keynotes better than any company what are you talking about? They set the stands and other company try to imitate.

What she probably means is why don’t they make keynotes in person like they always use to. To me that was always more exciting. I would love ❤️ for them to return to doing that. And you are right. No one does keynotes way more better than Apple for sure. And never will either.

I still have one and I cannot say that its outdated one bit! I use a black bg wallpaper so the bezels arent a big problem... One of my friends thought it was brand new lmao

Fun Fact: The reason the default time on the Apple Watch is 10:09 is because Rolex watches would use 10:10. Apple wanted to give the message that the watch they were selling was “ahead in time”

Who’s here in 2024? I remember I got my first Apple Watch when I was in high school. I got the Apple Watch Series 3. I remember seeing a classmate of mine who had one and I wanted to check it out and I was in awe. I was like, I need to get one!! And today I still use an Apple Watch. I have the Apple Watch series 9.
