Hi Mark I have been fishing this stretch for over 30 years so know it intimately . I don’t know if you caught from that swim but at this time of year I would be at St Mary’s Gardens chasing big bream and I’ve had them to 11lb 2 oz where at 10 mtrs it’s 20 ft plus deep! Please show what you caught or not and mixes that you used as I regard you as one of the top anglers in the country and I know you used to fish the river a fair bit so I would like all the info I can get! Regards
One weedy river and very deep. That’s opposite the swan hotel, big shoals of bream there often I catch with the feeder. However of late, the rise of rowers has ruined that whole stretch of water. They have no respect for Angler’s what’s so ever, rowing right up to the banks. Embankment is best fished during winter when they’re not in numbers.
Great tips Mark, thanks very much.
