I’ve been making up rigs for friends for close to 5 years now and I picked three new tricks to make it quicker and easier. I’ve never thought of doubling over the loop so that checking it in a tall tube is so much easier. Cheers.
I am 57yrs old and am still learning, love the way you took that shot off your line Matt and snipping the winder, so simple once shown. Have always used a staple to keep my loop straight, but will be changing now. P.s I would use that rig at Sedges Fishery as around 7ft deep in places and rammed with skimmers.
cracking vid. id use the rig on one of the deeper Silvers Lakes at The Oaks in yorkshire. your method is certainly far quicker than mine ! When shotting I havent tried wetting the float, but use a bit of washing up liquid in the container I sue, and still find the float sits far lower when actually on the bank. Will give your method a go
That’s another great video , your attention to detail is incredible, love the little tip about snipping the bit off the winder to get a straight hook link .Thanks for the video.
Hi Matt, love you videos l learn loads, thanks! I would use the rig at Carneys in Rugley not really deep, but it catches the wind terribly, and the tow is really strong. Thanks 🎣
love all your videos Matt they are so informative and the little bits make all the difference, and my local water is 14ft deep with a good head of skimmers and bream to 9lb just perfect for that rig.
I would use that rig at meadowlands when I try my luck again in the AT silverfish matches as the ones I had were rubbish and always great to try some professional methods cheers
Brilliant video love the tips about taking shot off & the hoop over the rig to test the float. I’d use it at JCB South Lake if I was lucky enough to win it. Keep em coming. Tight lines Steve Amison
Really helpful tips there Matt, I'm itching to knock a rig up using the marker method and pattern. I'd use this rig on the Air and Calder Canal in Knottingley for sure.
Hi Matt, definitely learned a few tips and trick there........thank you! I would use that rig on one of the many deep water lakes here in Poland. I am an Englishman living and fishing in the matches in the Poznan area here in Poland. Skimmers are the main target fish here in many of the Polish matches and I have to say that they fish for them very diffrently than we do in England. I try to keep the English flag flying here in Poland and try to win as many matches as I can!
great video Matt, made it look so simple and uncomplicated ,I would use it on my local river Medway for Roach & Skimmers average depth is 6 to 10 feet.
What a great video and definitely learnt loads watching it. Love the trick of taking the shot off. I would use the float on the Thames at Kingston for the stunning Roach(my favourite species) Thank you Matt & Frankie for the awesome video. Looking forward to watching next on. Tight Lines & Stretched Elastic 🎣 🐟
I like this video, would like to see how you tied the top knot so quick. This rig I would use on my local natural lake fishing for larger roach. This would be perfect although I’ve never used pingers.. thank you 😊
Great tips there Matt. If you slide that pole rig over brother i will probably use it to catch some skimmers over at The Oaks Lakes Sessay. Keep up the great content fellas.
Hey Matt, i would use it on my local Reserviour. The fish are currently still down the Dam wall end, and this is so deep. I have had plenty of success lately fishing the slider with corn and micro krill pellets. Will get my pole out and try this rig when you send me it. Amazing skill in how you think about the rig and the places you use it. Great skill in how you set this up on the board and marking it all up for accuracy. Super skills.
I'd use that float on house pool at alvechurch fishery as it would be more stable at deeper points which in turn gives me more confidence into my fishing Thanks for great tips matty love all your videos
Hi Matt, Like your videos and have subscribed. One thing that came to mind was I thought the solvent/ink in the marker pen would affect the line, but it obviously doesn't or you wouldn't use it.
As I have a match on Meadowlands shortly it seems a shame to use it anywhere else. Great information as usual, the videos this year are getting better and better thanks.
I'll catch on my local pond with pellet on that rig, pretty close in with the wind in my face. Remember the calder broken weir riverfest, I;m the old guy who told you a little about that peg lol
Great video Matt , full of brilliant tips. One thing that amazes me is how quick you professionals change your hook length so quickly? I always struggle with the loop flattening which makes it difficult when changing hooks, how do you get round this problem???? I would use that rig at Lodge Farm when we are there in a couple of weeks 👌 cheers!!
Great tips. Learnt something new with the way you take off the shot. If I was lucky enough to win your rig would use it at my local commercial. Redhill Monmouth. 😁
Hi Matt, great video. Now I know where I’ve been going wrong with my deep water rig shotting. I’d use this rig at my local Bradshaw Hall as their is a few lakes that are quite deep and the silvers are quite shy biting on them so it would come in handy. Especially on lake 2 which is probably the deepest of them all. I’d love to give bagger a run for his money on a rig you made up. Tight lines and I look forward to more vids. 👍
Hi Matt. You said you first used this rig in Portugal. I am from Portugal. Where did you use it? Coruche? Cabeção? For barbel, carp, carassio? Can you tell a bit more? Thanks!
Is use that rig on my home water of Festival lake Ebbw Vale South Wales. If use it there as the middle of the lake is 14 ft deep and it would be ideal for that depth and put lots of lovely skimmers in my net. Yeah!!
The trick you use to remove shot is a great tip, I've done it for donkeys. When i try explain thats what the metal ends on the Levapiambo are for they look at me like I'm a nutter. Please show a Levapiambo used in this way people are more likely to take it on board coming from a pro👍😁
I would use this rig on Lake John near Waltham Abbey, a brilliant bream venue. Don't get why you use a 13 cylinder as opposed to a 13 shot. Presumably less fiddly to put on?
Great vid Mat & Tank I would use that rig at Meadowlands on the next peg To Matt Godfrey as then I would have more of a chance to be within 20Lb of him 😂😂😂
as a thought matt why not use a top kit or pole section tube wrap sanitary putty around cap you now have a waterproof shooting tube place cable ties around a chair and fix to back of chair
I got a local club water about 8 ft deep full of small skimmers and slivers that’s going straight in my box for next outing I tied it watching your video actually you could have taken a moment or two longer talking about the actual shot spacing yes it’s bulk 42 yes the first one 14 cm no mention of the rest other than tapered ? I’m guessing it (inches ) 54321 ? Ish
Best rig making vid on the net bar none....... Brilliant 😊

Some lovely tips there Matt like snipping the winder 👌I would like to use it at meadowlands on those skimmers in the summer 👌
Great video Matt. I just shred it because it was so detailed. Slide on brother.
Great video Matt as always I would use on a new lake I am fishing in a match at the end of the month for some skimmers to hopefully win
cracking vid. id use the rig on one of the deeper Silvers Lakes at The Oaks in yorkshire. your method is certainly far quicker than mine ! Great tips absolutely spot on for my natural club water, 8ft plus
Deffo at halcroft loads of skimmers that always seem to do my head in but this rig makes perfect sense to slay them
That’s another great video , your attention to detail is incredible, love the little tip about snipping the bit off the winder to get a straight hook link .Thanks for the video.
Ooh great timing watching this I’m fishing Messingham at the weekend 👍😃🎣
Hi Matt, love you videos l learn loads, thanks! I would use the rig at Carneys in Rugley not really deep, but it catches the wind terribly, and the tow is really strong. Thanks 🎣
I've always used my short fishing forceps to put shot on. 🙂 Thanks for all the info on this.
love all your videos Matt they are so informative and the little bits make all the difference, and my local water is 14ft deep with a good head of skimmers and bream to 9lb just perfect for that rig.
Great video, very informative and will use this rig in future thanks!
great rig, I'd use it for the skimmers in the deeper pegs at Mathern Mill looking for the better bream 😀
Awesome MATT, them rig boards off Jordan are superb pal.
Excellent. I’ll probably just put it on my bookcase and stare at it lovingly 😁
Really helpful tips there Matt, I'm itching to knock a rig up using the marker method and pattern. I'd use this rig on the Air and Calder Canal in Knottingley for sure.

love the shot removal tip - I would use the rig at a new gravel pit I'm off too Sunday - 10-12ft deep with lots of hungry skimmers (I hope)
What a great video and definitely learnt loads watching it. Love the trick of taking the shot off.
I would use the float on the Thames at Kingston for the stunning Roach(my favourite species)
Thank you Matt & Frankie for the awesome video. Looking forward to watching next on.
Tight Lines & Stretched Elastic 🎣 🐟
Nothing wrong with your eyes lad , wish mine were as good, excellent informative video.

Great video I would use the rig on my club water Horton grange for skimmer and roach fishing in 12' of water 👍👍
I like this video, would like to see how you tied the top knot so quick. This rig I would use on my local natural lake fishing for larger roach. This would be perfect although I’ve never used pingers.. thank you 😊

Great video if I had a rig like that I would use it at Messingham bowl as it's quite deep and can be windy 🎣🎣👍
Learnt two things… loop over the tip and shot removal…👍👍👍👍
GREAT video matt all new to me plantation fishery in my winter league end of the year 😀
Would use this rig on my local natural venue brick ponds/trentside looks great quality and am definitely tying some up just like this to use
Another great video lads. I'd use the rig at my local club water. A reservoir 11' at 13m, full of skimmers.
Excellent. Where did you get the tube from for testing the rig?
Weston pools when I fish the navy championships, as always a very informative video cheers Matt.
I'd use that float on house pool at alvechurch fishery as it would be more stable at deeper points which in turn gives me more confidence into my fishing
Thanks for great tips matty love all your videos
Cheers matt great video n explanation ad use it at hayfield after the big skimmers keep these video's coming pal
What a fantastic video tyvm good luck the weekend 👍

Great video mate, I would use this rig at eliburn reservoir. It’s a deep natural venue
I'll catch on my local pond with pellet on that rig, pretty close in with the wind in my face. Remember the calder broken weir riverfest, I;m the old guy who told you a little about that peg lol
Hi when is the video coming out. Of Drayton reservoir.
Would try it in Coruche, Portugal. Since you did well last summer eheh
Great tips. Learnt something new with the way you take off the shot. If I was lucky enough to win your rig would use it at my local commercial. Redhill Monmouth. 😁
Great vid again boys, slide on! I'd use it at Birch House for those elusive Slabs
Hi Matt, great video. Now I know where I’ve been going wrong with my deep water rig shotting. Depends what peg your in & how fish want it presented on the day slow fall or fast.
Hi Matt. You said you first used this rig in Portugal. I am from Portugal. Where did you use it? Coruche? Cabeção? For barbel, carp, carassio? Can you tell a bit more? Thanks!
Hi
I would use the rig at snitterfield reservoir for the craft crucians and skimmers in the deep water of the dam wall
You two are always radio rental!! but as ever great vids
Gloucester canal deep and need it stable. shot removal trick !! Genius!!!!!!! I will definitely be using that 👍🏿
Meadowland because I live local and we have a club match their in 3 weeks ish main reason though you just told me too 😊
Is use that rig on my home water of Festival lake Ebbw Vale South Wales. If use it there as the middle of the lake is 14 ft deep and it would be ideal for that depth and put lots of lovely skimmers in my net. Yeah!!
I use it on the aire and Calder canal in Knottingley in the winter and also could you use this rig with punched bread by any chance boys
Could you do one for canal fishing rigs ?
Give us a tour of the whole room please.
The trick you use to remove shot is a great tip, I've done it for donkeys. When i try explain thats what the metal ends on the Levapiambo are for they look at me like I'm a nutter.
Please show a Levapiambo used in this way people are more likely to take it on board coming from a pro👍😁
Would be ideal at the Sedges in Somerset on Tile lake.
quality matt, use that rig on great heck 15ft deep in track bet it would go down a treat
Would u use 0.15 line even in the winter for skimmers
Top class for worsboro res
Great tips
I would use this rig on Lake John near Waltham Abbey, a brilliant bream venue. Don't get why you use a 13 cylinder as opposed to a 13 shot. Presumably less fiddly to put on?
how many weight do you add for balancing float, is it if the float is 1 gram than you add 1 gram of weight or other rule? thanks
Hi Matt I'm want to tie my own pole floats distance between each shot what is the correct measurement
Great vid Mat & Tank I would use that rig at Meadowlands on the next peg To Matt Godfrey as then I would have more of a chance to be within 20Lb of him 😂😂😂
Peg 18 holbar at Partridge, cause its deep and plenty of lovely big skimmers ❤😊
I would use it in Radeče or Sevnica because we use the same rig here.
as a thought matt why not use a top kit or pole section tube wrap sanitary putty around cap you now have a waterproof shooting tube place cable ties around a chair and fix to back of chair
I would use it at Southend farm(ask will Reynolds) deep and can be windy
Dillington Pond for roach and skimmers
Brilliant
I would give it a bash on the Stainy brother, slide on 😝
Love it what does that do you found yourself a fishing fluffer 😂
Lauren Stevens. I would use it on the pathway final😂
I'm sure that rig would work a treat on lake 4 at Bradshaw's. Eight foot deep, loads of skimbobs jobsagudgeon.
Ish
that big weight you have to hold your line tight, do you use that a plummet lol
Love it
Bitterwell Lake in bristol
Use the rig at Southend farm
I would give the rig to Del Brady to use at Magiscroft fishery( he would probably frame a rig made by Matt tbh) 😂😂
I would love to use the rig at Meadowlands, but just because Matt tied it, I’d keep it next to my bed and kiss it before I go to sleep each night x
PS if I should be lucky to win, would give it to my niece Ruvimbo who lives near the Tees
I’d use it at hallcroft for them big smelly brown barnacle head bream
If Matt has bad eyesight how on earth does he put on 9, 10, and 11 shots?
