As an Australian, seeing the gag about the ex PM shitting himself at a rural Maccas was unexpected surprise, but a welcome one.
Same here.
The Scott Morrison Maccs's debacle had me in stitches thanks for acknowledging the myth...
I laughed so hard seeing that 😂
It’s my birthday today, this is just what I wanted.
Happy birthday Tom!
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday !!
Happy birthday!
Thank you fellow Grainies ☺️
The fact that you know about niche Australian political memology is legendary.
The film loading fluffer. Who'd have thought he'd reach these giddy heights of talent.
Trev: “what’re your settings” lmao perfect
Did not know this lens existed. Hard to believe the form-factor is as small as it is. Cool shots. Love the Last Supper shot with all the 'Tubers. Can't wait to see how it does at 35mm. That price tag was wild, though, ngl!
Ah yes… the infamous Engadine Maccas incident of ‘97. There is a plaque commemorating the people traumatised by the horror…
What a great video !
It was so exiting to see you guy's all wearing analog gear :-) !
Very inspiring, and a great location in the studio !
“oh sick another grainy days video to start my day”
“WHY IS SCOMO (our second weirdest prime minister) ON MY SCREEN”
I felt this too... Initially a sense of pride as an Australian, but then it's scomo.... So bleh
In the comments for this exact reason 😂
Plus, who is the weirdest 😮
I had Tony Abbott top of the list purely for his onion munching
@@jonkr_ please Google Merkel eats Hering
did not expect a Scomo appearance on grainydays. dear lord.
SWEET! I wish there were more dual lenses out there!
Thanks Jason!
All of my favorite UA-camrs in one place - The city I live in - and I was working!! Damn!! Looks like you all had fun though!!!
That hallway shot at the end is terrific. Terrific dialog.
Oh sweet! I've been interested in this lens for years but felt it was too much of a gamble to buy one. I saw a few in Japan for sale in 2015 but even back then they were over 2k. Thanks for the detailed review.
Nice photos and cool viewfinder! I have a M-mount 21 mm waiting for an adapter or viewfinder -- was about to guesstimate without on an M3 but looking at the possibilities in the video I'll hold off 😅
Love that 'Renaissance painting'.
matt and jason in the same room is like paul and ringo being in the studio together…jason being ringo
Jake Paul is cool, idk about the other guy
The wow after the sneeze, I felt that
Nice to see some talented photographers in my city, amazing people very talented
Love the POV camera shot!
There is an insurmountable amount of rage I have for being in Atlanta a week later after the photo walks. Guess I'll never be able to flash Jason.
Great black and white shots !!
I sure like this Jason guy's videos.
Had no clue that this kind of lens was out there for the M6! It was really dope to connect with you and everyone in ATL! Hope Filmstock happens again!
Also I stick by my statement that you went down hill after the toilet shot! 🤣🤣 🤞🏾
I personally got the Tri Elmar MATE because I am indecisive about the focal lengths. Then got a 21mm Elmarit for the super wide.
So shy. Especially considering, that, in my opinion, you're THE best film content creator there is. On youtube at least. Great video! Thank you
Love that the mention of former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison dropping a nugget in his pants at a local mcdonalds was just seasoned in there. Bravo Sir, Bro
Nice to see Zak(sp?) one-wheel his way into your vid... he works at Wings Camera here in Atlanta, and he's changing out some light seals for me this week!
I got to hang out with him a bunch at filmstock, really awesome down to earth dude!
This video is perfect. 10:26 best moment.
Definitely will rewatch it sometime later on.
Such an interesting and odd design…cool video, Jason. 🤘
pure BUTTER.
was NOT expecting that Scomo mcdonalds reference. 10/10
I would love to see a comparison of Leica Glass to Carl Zeiss glass. I have used both and it is really difficult for me to tell the difference.
Your work is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
21mm is my fav focal length for street. My fav combo is actually Zeiss Biogon 21mm f4.5 (almost no distortion lens) with Zeiss viewfinder. I wish the Zeiss viewfinder have the bubble level though.
Not long after getting my EOS3 I got the 20-35f2.8, it's glued to the camera ever since 😅 what I'm trying to say is I can relate ❤. Fantastic content as usual.
+1. The old EOS 20-35mm f2.8 is an overlooked gem. Thankfully a lot cheaper too.
Interesting lens. I need 2.8 or faster, and 35 mm and 50 mm for RF duty is all I need. Enjoy the Konica lens. Go and find the light, and enjoy shooting film like a madman.
Bro is walking around with a price of a car on his neck (Camera + Lens + Leica Universal wide finder)
Haha man that middle section was like my UA-cam view history just hanging out. That would've been a fun day for sure.
With that 0.01mm flange distance issue, I'd be curious (as I know you are) to shim the lens 0.01mm away with a shim under the mount, or get real brave and have someone lathe 0.01mm off the body under the mount if its the other direction. But probably for arguments sake shim the film rails temporarily instead cos the other route sounds a little drastic, but you could have the sharpest version of that lens around, potentially, or a door stop.
The idea of having 21mm and 35mm in one lens is dope in theory, do the frame lines switch when you flick between focal lengths? and if not, which one do they engage on the M6? (Ignore me, you answered that later on).
Honestly that lens hood goes kinda hard, if it were mine I'd cut that corner off that gets in the way of the VF and run it.
Thank you for shooting in my city ❤
So wild to watch you explore my neighborhood!
I like ur 35mm images Jason.
I want your video LUT. ITs so dope
I like your sense of humor above all your photography knowledge. I like bykes too. Watching you from Terrassa, near Barcelona, Spain.
nice closing statement!
As someone picking up their first Leica M6 next week, this is THE video i wanted to see 😍
congratulations
Literally same lol. just got mine a while back. My grail lens.
another certified banger
"Time to get another M6" I've lost count how many times I've heard that.
They bring back aerochrome..... and we get a video about a bad version of a M4? Love you! The Voigländer 40mm f2.8 is the best M Mount lens ever and everyone who disagrees is obviously wrong
great video jason! my wallet cries with it!
14:07 beautiful shot!!
Very well made video
I fvcking love that you slipped in the google search for the worst Prime Minister in Australia’s history. There is a plaque at Engadine Macca’s commemorating the feat of ever you swing by for a visit. 😂
I hope i will afford m6 someday. Right now i have my m4 in servide for CLA and new curtin. But still in my heart is my 1st Leica IIIa with 50mm f2 summar :3 ^^
I once again am begging for an ID for the fisheye lens you used on the a7 at like 3:18 onwards
mmmm yummy yummy some more grain for my day
my thursday is complete
Paulie B sighting? Ayeeee
What is that viewfinder you’ve mounted atop your M6? Love your Videos!
great vid as always!!!
was also nice meeting you at filmstock 2023
The last line got me, similarly when I bought my first M6 in the late 90's had one lens and then a little later bought another lens and ... yep ... gee need another body ... G.A.S...
Surely you confide in me the filter thou art using for filming
The beauty of the M3 was one no longer needed those fall-off loose viewfinders! Now you get Goliath's box! I would rather guess with 28mm frame on my M6. Looks horrible! The pix are fun!
Can you recommend some viewfinder for 28mm and wider ?
Never knew Konica made M-mount glass.
Also the multi-lens finder from Leica is comically huge lmao
I was feeling guilty about sneezing like that in my hotel room in Georgia this morning... And then I watched this and remembered that I don't have to give a shit. Cool pics, BTW. Glad I'm not the only one who takes pictures of my sad, lifeless hotel rooms.
Does that external viewfinder have AM/FM too?
Its so hard to really, really trash a room anymore. The "upgrade" to flat screen slimline TVs just ruined everything. 🤣🤣 interesting review 2x👍
I shoot with an M6 Myself, sadly budget cuts at work forced me to put my m6 AND Hasselblad 501cm AWAY, i will ONLY SHOOT digital for 2024, with that said, i just recently got the FUJI 8MM 3.5 Super Wide Lens to go along with my X-PRO3 AND XT-5, this 8MM 3.5 Is freakin OUTSTANDING, if you ever shoot with a FUJI give their new 8mm a try.
That thigh pain is so relatable.
WOOO AUSTRALIA MENTIONED WOOOOOOO
8:42 greatest words from mankind
ive wanted thus lens for so long and I feel like now I wont be able to get it after this video and I feel like it was already hard enough before lmao
Whats the attachment you have to mount the video recording ?
Some very nice images... where's Baxter?
9:08 teabag!
what is that plate that you use to attach gopro looking at the camera at 4:18 ?
What is that attachment you have on top of your camera?
Your 21/35mm dual focal length lens captured my attention until I discovered it was an f/3.4 and f/4 lens. Way too slow to replace my 21mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/1.4 lenses for my Leica M6.
Nice video; Mike Gray almost made it worthy and you should have included more footage of his work 🫤
what lens were the first 35mm shots taken with?
Yo..Jason trying relfx 800T suprised me.
The longer I spent in photography, the less I cared about the bodies, the more I cared about the lenses and the places. Sony dropped a monumentous announcement and...it just doesn't seem as exciting anymore. I don't know. Congratulations on the new lens though!
if I've got to be honest, the viewfinder is one of the most overly designed I have ever used. I have one paired with my tri elmar and would bring it along with my lens but I hated to use the viewfinder because it is just so bulky and not put it on altogether. surprised you actually got one just to use for 21mm. curious why didn't you consider a smaller alternative such as from voigtlander?
@blakecissel is that you at 4:29 lollll
Interesting that you use the WATE viewfinder with that lens and likely cost more than that lens.
Oh, sorry I hadn’t reached point in video where you said, THANKS!
Graincheck shootin’ Grainydays? Yo.
I need a 28/50 variable lens
Remember. Switching to your second M6 is always faster than swapping out your lens.
I agree!
I shoot my M6 with 90/35/21mm lenses. I do not have a second M6 but I do have two Contax G1 bodies with 90mm and 21mm lenses that I use with my M6 mounted with a 35mm lens. Great way for me to avoid swapping lenses.
1:32 OMG. The day a Cali UA-cam photographer references our (thankfully) former Prime Minister shitting his pants at Maccas. Thankyou, Internet ❤️
ayyy egadine mate
Yo - what view finder are you using here on the m6? Anyone know?
Did you and Caleb just break the streak? 😱😱😱
Wtf kind of wrist attachment did you use for those street shots?
…it worked super well, now I need to know. Please. 😂
soooo when is ektachrome christmas 7 coming out?
Your photography is definitely high art my guy. Very inspiring.
I've been wanting one of these for years... rip ahaha love the video though!
