👍will be rooting for you at Off Road Games. Rory, from Trailmater, is another of my favorite UA-camrs. He recently announced you were going to be teaming up with him and driving his buggy.
Congratulations on being in the Offroad Games, and being teamed up with Rory.
I have heard more than a few people talk about his Spotting skills. He is a very good Rock Crawler also. He looks a bit rough, he talks kind of laid back, and he is one big dude. One thing, he is very safe. He will look out for you.
Do what he tells you, when he tells you, and how he tells you, and he can guide you through some obstacles that you would never think that you could do.
I think that you all will have a blast. Rory and his crew are a hoot.
Need some big vinyl stick-on decals with the Laura Farms logo to go where the manufacturer logos used to be!
Congrats on getting paired up with Rory, seems to be a GOOD dude! Also, his buggy is GREEN!
I heard that you were going to be driving with Trail Mater on the off-road wrecker games. That’s gonna be awesome to watch.
Just what I was jumping on here to say.
That’s going to be an interesting pairing.
Yes it is
I watch most of the folks who will be there. I’m happy to know Laura is teamed up with Rory. I think, instead of Trail Mater, Laura will be driving one of the buggies in the competition. Whatever it turns out to be, it will be a blast to watch the competition!
@@jimmyjenkins9240 Rory is Trail Mater.
His main off road wrecker and youtube channel is called Trail Mater.
Rory is a really great offroader and spotter, so Laura will have a great opportunity to do really well in the competition. Just remember to listen to Rory and do exactly what he suggests.
2/2/24 -Great painting job! Things look brand new! Thanks for taking us along. Chas.,SC
What a transformation, at the end of the day if you restore old equipment, look at the money you have saved.
Love from Mike. ❤
Trust whatever Rory tells you to do is exactly what you should be doing in his buggy. He is the most skilled rock crawler driver I’ve ever seen…ever. You won on that pairing for sure. Can’t wait 🎉
My brother-in-law and my sister owned a 1938 John Deere B, hand flywheel start.
It was called affectionately "Big Pink". Because the day we went for paint to stave off age and rust,, in the 'miss tints' shelf was a one gallon can of Rustoleum oil base,,, for one dollar. Just a buck. And as pink as a 14 years old pink lipstick. It was perfect. Probably still running, probably still pink.
By by ft g I oppĺ⁸😅
I'm going to give a HUGE two thumbs up with everyone else who has said well done for pairing up with Rory for the offroad games. He is an absolute pro at driving and spotting and I'm sure he will teach you so much about what they do. I'm crossing my fingers, toes and everything else for you and Rory at the games. GOOD LUCK.
Have a great time with trailmater at the off road game's 😀
Can't wait to see how you get on in Utah Laura - two of my favourite channels collaborating, cool ! Love to see you, Grant and Derek from Vice Grip Garage work together sometime too 😊👍
Nice job on the equipment! Last fall I disassembled my rusty 12 ton machine press, built new legs out of angle iron for it, prepped it, then painted it Alison-Chalmers orange. I started with Rust-Oleum Farm & Equipment spray cans but eventually got tired of having to do so many coats, so I switched to using an inexpensive HF spray gun with the same paint, but from a lidded can and also thinned down a little. It went incredibly quicker! Have fun in the Off Road Games.
Congrats, on matching up with Rory!!! On the offroad games!!!
You will enjoy being matched with Rory. You 2 will rock at the games.
Go Team Green. Or is it Gang Green??
10:50 Just made the drive to UT and back from Houston this week for my dad's funeral. 23 hours & 1,500 miles each way. Glad it's behind us now!
Hey everybody, Laura Farms just hit 100,000 subscribers. Congratulations Laura you sweet girl.
Congrats on getting paired with Rory! He is the BEST spotter and his buggy is beyond capable.
I am so excited !!!
Matt’s off road has some awesome videos. His yellow Moorvair is a very unique piece of equipment.
You're going to LOVE the off road games!
Looking good you two . . . 👍
Laura -, you SCORED BIG-TIME, you may have the best mentor participating the off-road games, Rory is a SUPERSTAR off-roader, a total NO BS type of guy and a great mentor. I am looking forward to seeing how you do!
Your being directed by Rory. He is a wealth of knowledge for rock crawling. He is really the most knowledgeable. He also has a very capable buggy that you will be driving. Pay attention to Rory, and you will win whatever Matt can toss at you.
Pepper is a good farmcat. Very curious at what everybodies doing and just hangs in there like one of the guys. Good cat and good mouser. If she only knew how to pressure wash.
I love seeing Pepper!
Congrats on the Matt's Off-Road Games! It's going to be awesome! Even though your not paired with us it will be fun meeting you at the games in March!
Nice job on the equipment!!😊
Thanks for sharing!
Why was green so expensive!?
Great job on cleaning up and repainting the equipment. One of the best practices on a farm is get the most life out of equipment as possible, and just cleaning up, removing rust, and repainting can go a long way to extending equipment life span, not to mention improving farm aesthetics!
There is this stuff call rust converter/conversion. For light rust, just brush the rust converter on and once dry/cure it bacially becomes a primer so just paint after and good to go.
Almost “Hawkeye Gold”! 😉😉 (Iowan here!!)
Hi Laura, Grant & Gage, that was a fun brightly colored painting episode. Your smile Laura, as always, brightens up my day! Nice to see the sun shining in Nebraska and the snow melting into the ground. Cheers from a coolish summer in New Zealand, David 😀
Thank You L&G for sharing your day with all of us! Love Hearing From You!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😅👍👊❤️
It would be interesting to see how that farm equipment would look after sandblasting the old paint off. But anyways the new paint makes the tools look great. Love the wide open spaces you have there in the Midwest. Here in the Rocky Mountains I have an 11000 foot mountain blocking the sunrise. As a result sunrise is an hour or so later than normal.
I really like you are showing how to rescue old equipment that us farmers do everyday.
My grandfather used to love to paint the underneath of his lawnmowers and bush-hog, but he didn't use paint, he used old motor oil. The equipment wasn't very pretty on the outside, but the underneath was well taken care of.
Your new mower takes me back to slashing paddocks with Massey Ferguson's. Had to be quick on the lift controls to avoid decapitating the pheasant mum & chicks. The refurbishing looks great. Looking forward to the new tractors completion.
Great job on the equipment rehabs. Looking forward to seeing them used in the future.
You have been teamed up with Rory, the best spotter out there along with a dang great off road driver. You stand a great chance of winning being teamed up with Rory!
Good morning Sunshine! Great to see your happy, smiling face again today. Both pieces came out great with the restoration and paint - look new again. Have a great week. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
It's going to be Epic. Rory and Matt and their folks are great people. I have one of Matt's stickers on the back window of my yellow Jeep.
Great painting job.... stay safe...see you on next one
Nice job! And Pepper seemed to enjoy her part in helping you. 😊
On the farm there are rainy day projects and thankfully the sunshine cooperated to get a serviceable paint job done today.
Learning rock crawling skills from one of the best just might give you a new extra curricular activity to occupy your slack time on the farm!
Fortunately your planters were all greased and in tip-top shape before you put them in storage last season.
When painting wheels, apply a good coat of Vaseline to the sidewalls around the rim in the overspray zone. When the paint’s dry… it just all wipes off. 😁
Awesome job guys. 😊🙂😄
Both projects look awesome! Can't wait to see them in use when the weather permits!
Great restoration projects Laura! Impressed with all your restoration and painting! I really like the red!
A painting tip for farm equipmennt, especially after Gage ruined a pair of gloves. I'm in the middle of tobacco raising country. Scafflod wagons are used extensively. Sponges are excellent for painting the tubing that scafold wagons are built from. they are way cheaper than brushes. Cutting them into 3 or 4 pieces makes them even cheaper. When you are done with the painting project throw them away.
Great progress on all the new/used equipment. Scraping and brushing is good before repainting... have you ever considered sandblasting to make a really good job of it? It'll get the rust off down to bare metal, then you primer and paint and it will last for decades. I know it's an extra step, but...
BTW, the deep red is just fine! 😁
The mower deck and the scraper look awesome Laura, Grant, and Gage with the new colors on them
Laura,
Great to see how every thing is on your farm , it is close to the area that I was raised. My dad farmed three 80 acre fields that are right at the junction of old 281 and Hwy 34, the "new" Costco store is on half of one of them. It was a great place to grow up and farming really taught me what real work is as you so well show. People don't understand that a farmer bets most of what he has every spring when you put in the crops. Bad spring weather can ruin everything, which I don't have to tell you. I think that your place is near Marquette a place that I have had many good meals at the "I don't Care" restaurant there when I was turkey hunting on Bushes island. Love the area and your presentations on UA-cam.
Rex Schimmer
Laura, Grant, & Gage - the painting looks great on your “new” equipment! 👍
Awesome job on your new equipment...
Thanks for sharing!!
🍀🐺👍🧙♂️🤙🦊🍀
About time you get a good color on your farm, nice job restoring your new farm equipment
My cat, Clover, is also helpful. She helps when I'm painting and putting shelves together.
I have always been able to braid, however. I have always went over. Seeing Laura go under has got me thinking that I have done it wrong in forever. I will try under on my Daughters hair next time. Looking forward to the Wrecked Games! Going to be a lot of Awesome UA-camrs there that I enjoy watching. MORR puts on a great time, it’ll be interesting to see the under knowledgeable drivers taking orders from the pros! Have a Fantastic time! Look forward to seeing the videos!🇺🇸🙏
Your hard work is appreciated. Dear❤❤❤
Great repair video.
Hi guys been watching your videos for the last couple years and enjoy them greatly. Funny thing I just ran across Matt's off-road and just started following them as well. Keep up the wonderful job you all do.
Hey Laura!!! I am so excited that you're teaming up with Rory as the Trailmater Team for the off road games. You couldn't have a better spotter. Good luck for the Games.😄👍👍👍👍👍
Implements look great! Thanks for cleaning up old iron! Love it!
Thank you for sharing. Y'all seem to enjoy hard work very much. God bless you.
Good Job.......Looks Great Laura, Grant and Gage!!!!!!!
Hi Laura. Wow, you have made a good work, those tools looked like they had just come out of the factory. Have a nice weekend.
You should do a 2024 equipment tour
You guys did an awesome job!!
You drew the winning lotary ticket. Rory is one of the best. If you ever have the possibillity do a repair job with him or Eric from bsf. Gona follow this. Live to far away to come to the games.
Looking forward to you and Rory geting together for wheeling in Utah
School bus yellow and fire engine red -looks great!
Looks good you guys hope you guys are going to enjoy them!!👍👍
Have fun when you go to meet Matt and Robbie and their families you should have a great time.. i’ve been watching them for many years..
It's going to be so much fun to watch. Rory is the best spotter going. Laura's going to do wonderful.
Very fun video. Thanks!🙂
Always looks better with a little paint. Good job to all involved.
I Watch Laura because Grants a stud, Which I'm thinking is why Laura snagged onto him. I also watch your dad, he's a piece of work, love his channel. I like it when Grants the Camara guy, he knows ware to point the camara. Bless you Grant and God bless both of you...
You can prevent paint from accumulating in the channel of the paint can and running over the edge by punching a few holes in the channel with a nail. The paint will drain back into the can and won't drip over the edge.
Very interesting 🤔, things are looking really nice. Great content 😁 guys. Thanks for sharing.
Nice colors good Job you three 👌
Hi Laura & Grant, I see you have a new green lawn and driveway. Cheers, Bill Telfer - Perth Australia
