Cycling in the Sierra Nevada Mountains along with Team Ineos and Cofidis

WELCOME BACK TO OUR CHANNEL 🚐
In this week’s video we are heading out on our bikes and taking on the climb to the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort. The route takes us along some lovely twisty roads but goes up and up and up for a long time! Whilst cycling up a closed road to vehicles we are passed by 3 of the Cofodis women’s team and after a quick bite to eat at the Ski Resort we get to see 5 of Team Ineos cycling up the closed road we had been on earlier that day - Mark was very very happy 😂
There is also a quick tour of the campsite we stayed at which sits overlooking the Embalse de Canales, a reservoir at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

What an epic day cycling for you both 😍😍
It was really epic but knackering! We have cycled to a few ski stations before but never one where there have been actual skiers! The downhill was pretty cool though. How are you guys?

To be fair we are absolutely shattered and needing some sleep….we have each done so far 59 hours since our last day off on Tuesday last week and still have another day and a half to go…..so we aren’t getting much time out at the minute 😥😍

Hi Louse, he was over the moon! We had no idea that they would be there either so a nice surprise. As we were leaving Granada we saw, what seemed like the whole Team including Geraint Thomas, at the bottom of the hill about to cycle up! Thank you so much for watching - Amanda & Mark x

They were very twisty, Mark’s favourite type when it comes to cycling - he can’t stand long straight roads 😂 The views were pretty amazing, at one point we could see Granada way off in the distance! We asked if we could have a table out on the terrace when we went for dinner as that would have been fab overlooking the reservoir but they said it would get too cold so had us sit inside (think they only wanted one area for dining that night!) Great site though, highly recommend it. Thanks for watching always 😍 x

Thanks guys, do you know we hardly got the drone out when we were away and Mark even got a European licence! We really need to practice more! Thank you, it was a pretty tough ride uphill, much nicer coming down!
We were there last November and the hiking was superb too - lovely restaurant but you do need to book at weekends

Yes same campsite, lovey pitch in the top corner with great views. We have travelled to Spain / Portugal for the Autumn the last 6 yrs, it’s lovely. Does get cool morning & evening but often great hiking in the daytime - last year was particularly mild. Off again in 5 weeks, can’t wait!@@AdventureswithAmandaandMark

Hi Chelsea, I felt like that when I first started road cycling (10 years ago now) but used to cycle a lot with friends so safety in numbers. Now I only get a bit scared by lorries or anything just really big. Some cars get too close but mostly, especially in Europe, they’re really good and the roads are much nicer. Cycling has enabled us to explore so many places and see some amazing sites so I love it for that reason alone. I think the more you get out the less nervous you’ll be.
