When Pope John Paul 11 visited this Cathedral,he was so impressed by it he declared it a Basilica .

No it’s not. You are thinking of St. Henry’s on 28th and Avenue C in Bayonne. Another beautiful church but not as impressive as the Basilica. I go to the Basilica after a rough day at work. I’m actually here now as I type this, lol.
